The city council has a lot to do with it too. They don't micro-manage the departments and each department head is held responsible for the budget of their individual operations. Do it right, or do it someplace else.

Who is Ed??? And who is "we." I've been contributing to the Sacramento Press for some time now and as the "Managing Editor" you should know that. Anyway. As far as I'm concerned, West Sacramento is still in the "Grid." I write about the West Sacramento community. Unless you want to exclude us here in West Sacramento. Then we'll have to go somewhere else to have our little voice heard.

I truly don't believe that anyone is against a legitimate handicapped sticker. The ones we are talking about are the people who abuse the system. The woman who I wrote about wasn't handicapped and didn't deserve to use the placard when NOT driving her mother around. In fact, she is in direct violation of the law governing the use of those placards.

Is it just me... I didn't see any "swear" words in THSAS' reply to the article. Replaced two letters with symbols? Geoff, are we reading the same article?

I agree, and in retrospect, I probably shouldn't have said anything. But at that moment, it seemed like a good idea.

Apparently, some of the staff are not as understanding of the schizophrenic’s mood swings and behavior. It scares him to be yelled at or confronted. Of course, one must understand what we are dealing with here. The schizophrenic sees and hears things that aren’t really there and have an unnatural fear of certain things.
