Until last year, despite the fact that I hate jazz, I have been a regular attendee of the Festival for the last decade. I have always felt that somehow, contrary to reality, Sacramento earned it's "cow-town" image by being dowdy and generally old fashioned. I have the same opinion of KXJZ and KVIE. Both are so old fashioned, dowdy, and frumpy.
