Nice to see people still care enough to use some dirty tactics.
No they stopped and now are starting again, from what I understand.
Wow... what a political plug. So to advertise for a political candidate - I just write an "article" supporting whoever...
Love the story... makes this foodie happy.
Just because you disagree with a life-style or "the way they are born" does not make you a troll/hater. If you don't want to write a dissertation on your personal or political views and just check a box because arguing about a heated topic where both parties are actually not going to change each others minds.... I rather bash my head against a wall and yell at the wall "You should not hurt me." Someone expressing their opinion by press a button, is like voting by checking a box. Just a simple, easy way to express yourself.
Hammond added that she asked Oseguera about hiring a diverse staff, in terms of race and gender. Oseguera hired three males to work as auditors. “There are a lot of women who know how to audit,” Hammond said. “I don’t know why he couldn’t find one.” What does that have to do with a snowball's chance in hell?
That is a fantastic point.
booo leave the crappy tag lines to other crappy publications. boooo, boooo .
Would it fall under slander to load evidence up and name this masked attorney? This story seems to come out of no where...
bbbbmer - read up on State Rights within the US.
The state of Arizona can do just that and invoke State Rights to cancel the contracts with another state. It is then taken to a federal court which is then a toss up depending upon the politics of the judge, which of course be argued by both sides. Arizona is a state that belongs to a union - this union joined for a great good and for protection. They are now feeling like they are not being protected but taken advantage of by the federal system ignoring them.
I certainly hope so - that is another legal issue ignored by everyone.
I never really knew how much about Sacramento politics I had no clue about. @ Rhonda E. - could you do me a favor - giant blocks of text are a pain to read in this format. Use the return key if possible.
Tiker can get any 'renovating' contract as 'no-bid' - this particular job is not going to be no-bid but Tiker well prolly get it because they can severely undercut anyone who does bid against them except for Burke but they rarely go head to head on large gov contracts.
@ Sacpress - congrats on the new digs. Hopefully your contractors stay on schedule. @ Jim - you have some local know-how, if you tried you could educate others. I, personally have very little knowledge about Sacramento politics but I am now starting to take an interest. Cheers.
That is awesome - love to see people get involved and get a great community project. (Not sarcastic, please note) But to be responsible - Who is going to pay for the park's upkeep? Did they set aside some money raised for a grant or a bond to pay for the park - say for maintenance and upgrades for five-ten years?
I have to agree in part with you Jim - Something needs to happen. Their has been too much gross-over spending in too many Cities. I believe a 10% pay cut is necessary for any state employee for the City of West Sacramento, over 55-65K should see it. With 300 employees(?), let us guess that 175 make over 65K, even if they only made 66,000 - that would be over 500K. That is a good start for the entire process, now let us move on to some of the 'back-scratching' situations.......
@ Jim - Do you have any documentation/ evidence to back your story? Or is it hearsay?
Conversation about: Mayor Johnson's mustache honored
I for some reason really enough silly stories like these, helps keep other things in perspective.
