The community roots of hip-hop culture should never be ignored, and that's something granddaddy KRS-One knows better than anyone. I've seen Butterscotch and Random Abiladeze (note spelling) at UC Davis numerous times, and they're a dynamic duo. Random's got a huge ego, though, but that just makes him mainstream material (ohhhh!) Kerridge would hold on to his office unless fired, as it would still be an unelected position -- just appointed by the mayor rather than the council.
