That sounds great, I'll be there! And hungry...I'll be hungry.
It's great to hear that people are still optimistic even in the current state of things. Hopefully this optimism will help to bring back those who didn't initially support Johnson, so that we will be united as a city. Side note: How many bars and such can one man open? Will we soon change the name from "Sacramento" to "Parytown?"
Yeah for painting pictures with words! This is quite a colorful piece of writing :)
Sweet, its like meals on wheels only its advertising on wheels...I wish that rhymed a bit better.
Are there opportunities for volunteering available? If so, what types of people are you looking for to volunteer?
I'm interested to know about the environmental impact this would have. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that looking at all the possible outcomes is crucial before making this type of commitment, especially with this issue.
Wow, it's amazing how many things go on in the Sacramento area that I have never been to! Maybe I need to move to midtown...
I would love to downgrade! I've always been quite content with basic cable. Unfortunately I have two couch potato roommates and I don't think that they would be able to live their lives without the large black box that takes up most of their spare time... Downgrading not only saves money, but it encourages people to get out of their apartments and start socializing, interacting with the community instead of being passive.
A trees commission could be a great way to get people thinking about how important--and often neglected--our environment truly is. I wonder how many people in the Sacramento area would be interested? It seems that if it was well-advertised, many people would be willing to devote some time.
Yeah it's crazy, the first time I visited Sac State I was so startled by the random roosters everywhere! In Davis I almost hit a rooster that was crossing the street, which brought to mind so many bad jokes...
How does one go about becoming a peer trainer? What types of people do this job?
I think that light rail is only as safe as the specific stations that you are utilizing. I personally live in an area where I've frequently been told not to ride the light rail, at least not after dark...this wouldn't be a problem in the summer, but it gets dark so early now that it makes me a bit uneasy.
This is a really interesting viewpoint and I'm very curious to hear more about your experiences, and what you've personally observed that led you to this opinion. Do you have any specific stories you could share? I sense there are many, brewing just under the surface...
Wow this is quite the project you have completed! It must have taken you a very long time to read all of those documents. Very ambitious!
Sounds like a lot of the newer bars and restaurants which are much more upscale. These more trendy locations certainly give a different impression of Sacramento! The funny thing is that while there are many places in Midtown like this, once you reach the outskirts and the towns surrounding Sacramento, you're met with a completely different scene. I'll just say that in Rancho Cordova where I live, there are more check cashing places and dollar stores than nice hotels or bars.
I'm glad there are so many organizations catering to senior citizens! As I have an aging parent myself, I know just how difficult it can be to provide care on a daily basis.
Bronze casting is such an interesting and unique art form that I never really thought about until actually seeing an exhibit. It's amazing to see the artists produce everything from miniature replicas to life-size pieces.
That's so frustrating! You would think that people would want to keep the area where they live looking as nice as possible.
Conversation about: A Christmas Carol
Wow I should go because I'm one of those Scrooge-like characters. Yeah, bah humbug! Sounds like you really know a lot about theatre, so I'll be looking for more of your play-related posts.
