Lauren is indeed a passionate, outspoken and tenacious representative of her district. Unlike many elected officials today she doesn't beat around the bush or try to please everyone on all sides of an issue. So sometimes people who disagree with her say she's rude. She's a breath of fresh air, as far as I'm concerned. I love the fact that she doesn't march in lockstep with anyone -- and certainly not KJ. The only problem is that when she goes to the Assembly (yes, she will win that election), we'll lose her frank and moderate voice on the city council.
