Just curious. Did the author intend to say "pawns" rather than "prawns?" Prawns are shellfish and pawns are chess pieces. Also, did the author mean to say "checkmate" instead of "chestmate" and "chess" rather than "chest?" This is my first visit to this website, so I'm not sure if these misused words are on purpose or not...i.e., is this a "spoof" website like "The Onion?" I have a friend who purposely mixes up words once in awhile as a joke, so perhaps the joke's on me and this site is "tongue-in-cheek?" By the way, I hope that this is not a "spoof" site because the author makes a GREAT point and I totally agree with her!!! Every time the Mayor does something like this, I also get the feeling that it's always totally about him and his career, right down to his engagement that was announced today. You don't often see single people go too far in politics. It's well-known that politicians need to look "normal" in every way and let's face it, marriage, family, and children equate to mom, apple pie, baseball, and "the American way." For our good Mayor, this engagement move also might cause people to forget about the allegations regarding him and underaged females. He has big plans for himself. I just wish he'd go somewhere else to pursue them. He creeps me out!!!
