love this idea, creative way for Sacramento's coffee drinkers to try the different shops in the area.
That looks like it will be a great location and fit for the neighborhood. I think the tables need to be spaced farther apart though. The Temple on S street feels cramped and it's hard to squeeze between the tables to sit down. Don't want this one to feel that way too. Look forward to visiting the new spot with it being closer to my house.
that panoramic is incredible! I may want one too.
seems like it was a cool place, I've been to the MARRS building many times and didn't know it existed.
What in the world does a City Manager do to earn that? I think we could curb a little wasteful spending if we lowered salaries to a reasonable level. Teachers and Police Officers are getting laid off and city officials make $200k? That doesn't seem right. I need to get into politics, that's where the real money is.
Hope they're not too bright when driving at night, the Folsom Lake Automall sign on HWY 50 is blinding.
I agree this will be a lot easier to get to the freeway. It's a pain to turn left/right from J onto Alhambra to get to the freeway. I like that the city is looking into ways to cut down unnecessary traffic downtown/midtown and making the roads easier to navigate.
The city should look into doing what Stockton did with their pedestrian traffic on El Dorado Street. When someone crosses a street, poles at each side of the street and markers on the ground along the crosswalk flash yellow. It makes it very easy to see when someone is crossing and traffic actually stops when someone crosses.
Great article, PC. I'll introduce myself to you next time I'm at Tupelo.
Conversation about: A need for caffeine, coffee shop roundup
Obviously this article doesn't mention all of the coffee shops here in Sacramento but it does a great job of describing the ones it does mention. Pliny, many shops will make a individual cup for you, just ask for a pour-over.
