Yeah! We will be there soon. One more positive step in the growing vision of the revived walkable Broadway Corridor.
Just back in town, we were driving by and heard roars and cheers and applause at DeVere's. A worthy event--thanks for the story and photos, Dave. Ditto on that pink mirror shot!
Any parking available besides street parking? That has been a challenge for other businesses on that corner
Great news--We will be there!
I'm a Hoosier.--he is a Hoosier hero. 1987. Whoosh!!!
David, thanks for covering both important events. Who had the bigger crowd?
A swingin' affair it was, in the best traditions of both Vegas and New Orleans! We had more women trying to sneak in during sound check than any show in recent memory. www.swell-productions.com
Gee, I go to the Golden Bear a fair amount. LOVE the food, draft IPAs and ambiance. And I'm a grown-up. Best wishes, Kimio--you know I will be @ yor new place too. Just don't card me or you will have to give me a senior discount.
Great news. Will look forward to walking over. IPA please.
Fun analogy. Thanks Lindol. It was great to see Sacramento turn out for a great cause on a beautiful day.

PLEASE always use spell check-- or have a friend who cans spell-- proof your work before you go public with a story. A simple journalistic rule to live by when writing is to make sure you answer these basic questions: Who ? What ? When ? Where ? Why?
And------ we have just sold out of the 8:30 pm show.
Olivia, congrats on your forward thinking plans. We hope Swell can work with you to create live music events too.
Anything trancendental or poignant like this happen at the Bieber concert?
Sierra 2 is offering garden courtyard beer, wine and food beginning at 5:30 PM!
Curious as to attendance, Nick or Melissa. How did this affect Second Saturday attendance a few blocks over ?
Troy was given his name "Trombone Shorty" by his big brother Glenn when he was around 6 years old. The trombone he was playing dwarfed him. Thre is a famous photo of him as a little tot, maybe 3, with that huge trombone, and the great Bo Diddley kneeling down next to him. It was taken by my friend Michael Smith.
I saw this on the local news. Everyone was crying or looked in severe pain.
Conversation about: Cinco de Mayo with the Black Keys
Saw them @ the Colonial Theatre opening for Sleater-Kinney in Feb. 2003. They were great. I knew Hound Dog Taylor was smilin' in heaven.
