I neglected to add a fundraiser that I will be attending: A Cure For Kayla: A fundraiser & networking mixer to raise awareness and funds for myotonic dystrophy a common form of muscular dystrophy that can affect infants, children and adults. This event is in honor of Rocklin’s 3 1/2 year old Kayla Vittek, who was born with and lives today with congenital myotonic dystrophy. I noticed that you were mentioning some events that will be coming up in future weeks. For the purpose of this article that I write every week, I focus on the events for that specific week. There are so many awesome things going on, it's virtually impossible to list them all even for a single week. I do note that there are many more events going on and can be found on my website as well. And just to clarify, the Unity & Diversity Festival is not free. You may want to check their website. I appreciate that you want to plug your website too. There are many great websites that feature Sacramento events, yours being one of them.
