Just found this article when on facebook who we use alot for marketing the Saloon, sorry I missed the opportunity and have now added SMC so I don't miss another.
I'm a Woodford fan, so on my next visit I'm having a Kentucky Buck. We often send people from out of town visiting River City Saloon that like the old saloon feel over there to experience their awesome drinks.I'm a shot and beer kind of guy and that's what kind of saloon we are but I must admit My favorite place to get a quality cocktail is The Shady Lady!
Great story, and I'm glad the rain did not hold back the group. And the peanuts go much better with a ice cold beer and a $2.00 shot of JD. at the River City Saloon.....
I travel a lot and unfortunately many airport restaurants are corporately owned, sucks for small business, so kudos to Old Soul for however they got it done. I hope they have a local brew pub in there and not some chilli's or other corporate ran place, cause that is where you will find me. Now when do they open the next wing so I can put a Saloon in there....
I will be At The River City Saloon, slinging Drinks. $2.75 PBR's and $2.00 shots of Jack with any Draft!!
As a Saloon owner in Old Sacramento, Bulls is great for the downtown are. Something different, not another bottle service over priced place. On my two visits, I had good service and was entertained by the bull throwing people. Check it out.
Shawn, Great stuff! As the owner of the River City Saloon, I know first hand how frustrating it can be. I did 90% of all work and was at the planning department on a regular basis. They do try to help and my experiences while frustrating at times were great. They need check-off sheets to make it easier on small businesses looking to open so delays don't happen. All in all thumbs up to the city's planning department. Stop bye the saloon and drop a card as we are opening a second location in 2011. PS: Bulls looks great, and is fun , I urge people to check it out.
Thanks, it's been a lot of fun. If you remember Great America used to have a little soda shop that sold sarsaparilla for 25 cents, we do that at the River City Saloon as well. Its straight from the keg and at 25 cents it's the best deal in Old Sacramento
FYI: I was told today from the staff in Old Sacramento, that there are over 40 merchant's taking part in the Trick or treat for the kids during the day Saturday. Should be a great time in Old Sacramento!
The Ghost tour is a blast! Don't forget to stop bye The River City Saloon and get a .25 Cent Sarsaparilla after or before the tour!
Great story about what we see happening in Old Sacramento. It is finally back to being a great location for nightlife as well. It is very safe and fun. Having dinner then walking from saloon to saloon is a great time. I believe there are about a dozen you could easily hit. We have seen an increase in night time visitors and look forward to all the additions.
Thanks for the praise. We look forward to creating many memories for the tourists visiting our great city as well as the locals looking for a great drink and a good time.
Just found you when doing a search as I am opening a old west style saloon in old Sacramento. It is amazing to me how the history of the bars go back. When I started my project I never new that Old Sacramento was a seedy area with tons of saloons / bars. It's www.TheRiverCitySaloon.com by the way. Cheers

I must say after the many hours of preparation of this years event, it was a great turn out. We had a few hic ups along the night, but next year the event will surely be bigger and better. Great Pictures!
