Holiday Travel of America is an incentives/marketing company. They provide travel certificates, etc. to other companies/organizations. There is a lot of complaints online about how they don't fulfill those certificates, but they do not sell timeshare or give timeshare presentations and they do not sell to the general public. That being the case, I'm confused by your report since it doesn't seem likely that they were the real culprits in your experience unless there's more than one Holiday Travel of America in Carlsbad, CA. So my question to you is what was the name of the actual timeshare company whose "thugs" tried to get you to buy a timeshare?

Above the porch , what I assumed to be the attic, I'd noticed the window portion was boarded up.
I firmly believe this road is haunted. On two occasions friends and I went down this road and both times I felt things and saw proof. The first time we went was halloween night and I didn't see anything with my own eyes but most people don't went it comes to paranormal activity. It's always hard to catch stuff on camera. I always watch documentaries. I'm addicted to paranormal state and ghost adventures. But anyway, that halloween night we stopped right before driving down the road and sprinkled flour on the hood of the car and drove down the road and left. After that we got out of the car and sure enough they're hand prints all over the hood. The next day my buddy's car that we took down there wouldn't start. The car's battery was drained and he ended up not being to start it and got rid of it. The story I've heard about this road is that the Klu Klux Clan hung blacks along the trees. The second time I went down this road. I didn't do the whole flour or baby powder on the hood thing but experienced much of the same things I did the first time. Both times that I've gone down this road. I felt ice cold and very strange. My friend and I are sensitives and I'm more empathic but she cried after we left because she felt so much sadness and suffering there. We went in her brand new pt cruiser that she had just bought 4 days ago and the next day she went to start her car and the lights on her dashboard went haywire. There is definitely something here and the best way I could explain this road is this. You come up to a sharp turn left and that's the start of the creepyness of the road. At the end of this road is a pile of junk and garbage that sits on the corner and it sharp turns to the right. If you drive any further than this pile you get this feeling like if you go further you will drive off the face of the earth. It kinda feels like your entering hell or a point of no return. I wish I could say I was feeding you garbage but I'm really not. There's something about this road that draws you to come back. Almost the same feeling that draws you back to play with a ouija board.

I would like to contact Mr. Obrien. I research ufo and paranormal activities here in Monterey and have seen ufo craft in many locations on the West Coast using third generation night vision goggles. It no longer is an issue of whether or not it is happening (sightings and abductions).

Anyone who wishes to take this issue seriously may contact me for more conformation and help in understanding the nature of the lies which are being perpetrated in order to keep us, as George Bush puts it, "unawares".

Using night vision we see the variety of craft that others (millions) see and report. The difference is we can repeat the experience every clear night by viewing the night sky with high tech night vision goggles which range in cost around $3,500.

By the way many people I know here on the Monterey Peninsula have seen craft enter and leave the Bay. Many more have had their own sightings. With night vision, however, you can often see an average of over 20 sightings per hour just after dark. This is the best time as sunlight reflects off the craft which highlights their appearance in the night vision.

I do the radio program The Quantum Leap Mondays at 8pm and Saturdays 9pm west coast time,

It would be a good thing if the media told the whole truth about tarot cards, how they were originally made for card games which are still played today in continental Europe. Contrary to what these biased pro-paranormal media reports would have us believe, psychics and mediums aren't the only ones who use tarot cards. Game players also use tarot cards to play tarot card games. People are sick of hearing about how psychics use tarot cards. Why don't you do a story on how some Americans are now starting to learn to play real card games with tarot cards. It would be a breath of fresh air.

To be honest, My mother and cousin and I just went down this road a couple hours ago after seeing it on t.v. We had never heard of it before. Anyways, there were alot of drawings and stuff on the road, we figured it was kids pulling pranks- it all had the air of high school bull to me.

We stopped and talked to a man who was riding his bike, who was drunk as hell, and he said he'd never seen a thing riding through there day and night except placer police. But he told us about a rumor about the corner where the car crash had happened, so we went over there and took some recordings. An hour or so later, we went to taco bell and listened, and on the recorder my mom had said "If someone's here, please say so-" or something to that effect. 8 seconds later, loud and clear as day, a voice, not any of us and on a totally different frequency after we looked at it at home in audacity said "Yeeeesssss...." and about 20 seconds later a sound that seemed like a cross between a purr and a growl.

Freaked us out like mad hell. =/

I'm usually very skeptical on these hunts, I didn't feel or sense a thing while I was out there, but that EVP was creepy enough to make me wonder if the street is haunted enough.

I think quite a bit of it is sensationalized and immature pranks from kids, there doesn't seem to be much behind the rumors either (no news paper clippings or anything). But that EVP was incredibly clear, and super creepy.

While this sighting is interesting I believe I may have a possible explanation. The first thing I think of when I hear "wings" is bird. So what kind of bird could it be? How about a Great Blue Heron? They have a 70" wing span and live in the area around rivers.
"Great Blue Herons are often seen flying high overhead with
slow wing-beats. When foraging, they stand silently along
riverbanks, lake shores, or in wet meadows, waiting for prey
to come by, which they then strike with their bills. They
will also stalk prey slowly and deliberately. Although they
hunt predominantly by day, they may also be active at night.
They are solitary or small-group foragers, but they nest in
colonies. Males typically choose shoreline areas for
foraging, and females and juveniles forage in more upland areas.'

Paul, I enjoy these types of stories.

At the begining you state that "Li" is fictional name, but don't disclose that "Ming" is fictional until the end. There is a random "Sunny" dropped into the dialog.
"Sunny: I actually passed out once when Li was taken and passed out again. When I awoke, Li was
       back."
Which is the fictional name; Ming or Sunny?

Sunny/Ming did not really witness any abduction.
They were in a field, Sunny/Ming passed out, then woke up, friend was gone, passed out again, friend was back. She is going by what Li told her.
An actual date would be nice. 1999 is pretty random, what season?
If you were taken by aliens, this would be in a journal and the date locked into memory...or at the very least , the last date she could remember. Many people claim to be gone seconds, but later find they have days unaccounted. Was she gone minutes? Hours? Overnight? No neighboring villagers saw anything or is this so unspeakable that neither girl even asked anyone if they saw the disk?

I understand people worry about loosing jobs and being thought of as crazy when they share their stories.
I wish that wasn't the case. The general public might have a more open mind and willingness to accept the possibilities if people confidently provided their names when giving testimonials.

I used testimonials to make a point: this is something that people believe. Just as people believe in religion.
Isn't it just as likely that there are ghosts and beings from other universes as there is that GOD sent his only son to earth to save humans from our sins?

It will be fun to read the other articles and look through the links you provided.
