    <content type="text">A well-written story and beautiful pictures.  It is great that these lovely young women are able to make this traditional coming of age from their own culture, even as they ready for success in the larger culture.</content>

    <content type="text">Thank you very much for bringing this to light.  I also live in Tahoe Park area, and was NOT aware that the design had changed.  This is very disappointing.  How did the City Council and the mayor let them get by with this subterfuge?  Again we see the difference between 'legal' and 'ethical' behavior.</content>

A certain mindset always claims the 'promise' of jobs outranks all else - a very seductive, yet usually empty promise. Stay after your city council members -- they're supposed to be watching out for these things [unless the mayor's 'strong mayor' initiative goes through, of course!].</content>
