Tonight, we gathered the family to go to the Roseville Galleria to sing the Hallelujah Chorus, shop for some last minute Christmas items, and to have dinner together. Our daughter was asked to come and sing by her high school choir and we had heard of these “Random Acts of Culture” in other communities. We understood that the singing was being organized by the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra, so we thought it would be a fun, family thing to do. We’ve had it on our calendar for weeks. Do you think they are "reckless?" And what about all the other symphonies and choirs across our country organizing, "Random Acts of Culture?” Should they be controlled as well, just in case their event is too popular? What’s next, college protests? What if too many students come out to protest or support a cause? Should they be controlled in case the event is too popular and too many students want to come and join the cause? In my mind the simple answer to those questions is, no way! This is a free country...
