I "opted out" when I was sent a request form from the city asking if we would like to use the bins. I responded "no" and mailed it back. The following month we got a bin delivered while we were out of town. I don't know how to get rid of it but I don't want to use it. There is far too much waste at certain times of the year to have a bin be a reasonable alternative. I would like to know how it is more environmentally sound to have the bins rather than steet pickup and sweeping.
