The EOPS Program and Bog Fee Waiver “Officially Cut”?

The EOPS program and Bog Fee Waiver are both important to students at City College because it makes things easier for everybody educational wise. The EOPS program is a student support program for students, funded by the State of California and the Los Rios Community College District. It’s also designed to provide opportunities in higher education for students with academic potential who, historically, would not have attended college. The Bog Fee Waiver is an application, for California residents, that waives enrollment fees from the Summer semester through the Spring semester so that all the students will have to do is just pay a portion of the fee and nothing more. Balancing School and Life

Most of us might think there’s more to life than school, but at the same time, there’s more to learn while you’re in school. I know because from experience, I’ve been in school my whole life and learned so much. It felt like the more I went to school, the more I learned. Not only did I learn what I needed to know for school, but I also learned what I needed to know about life. I’m still in school today, at Sacramento City College, and I learn more and more about school and life like almost everyday. I’ve always dedicated my life to school, and I’m still dedicating to it until I graduate. Throughout the years I’ve been in school, I’ve always put my education first before anything else beca

Student's Involvement with ExPress Staff

Sometimes, it’s not easy for students to be part of a newspaper staff at Sacramento City College. Third-year college student Markeyetta Sherman became a writer for the Express newspaper at City College Wed. Jan. 19th, 2011. “I honestly didn’t know that when I take Journalism 402 I would automatically be a part of the newspaper staff,” said Sherman. Even though Sherman, 21, writes for the Express newspaper, she never forgets that she’s also a student at City College. “Whether I’m writing school articles or not, I always put my education first because that’s what’s important to me,” said Sherman. As a Journalism major, Sherman wants to get an AA degree in Journalism and then transfer to

Seven Movies in One Day

Going to the movies has always been one of my favorite hobbies. Since I was 11-years-old, that’s what I wanted to do all the time, and I wouldn’t change it one bit. I’ve always thought about going back to the movies since I saw the previews to all the new movies that were going to be shown in the theaters, and once I saw the movie previews to Big Momma’s House (Like Father, Like Son) and Never Say Never, that’s when I told myself that I was going to go to the movies. The last time I went to the movies was Friday Apr. 16, 2010 and saw seven movies, including Why Did I Get Married Too, Hot Tub Time Machine, and The Last Song, with one of my friends. At the movie theater in Downtown Sacram

This is a serious situation that all Sac City students should be aware of in case this sitation was to come into play, but hopefully it doesn't.

Conversation about: Student's Involvement with ExPress Staff

This is something that's important to me because of the fact that it has to deal with school and being a part of something that I've never been a part of before.
