The workshops are now over, but we will hold information sessions in early 2011 to discuss the preferred scenario that reflects the public input from these workshops.
Most people were common folk. We had everyone from students to retired people. There were advocates for bicycling and transit, as well as homebuilders and other professionals. Just to set the record straight, SACOG did not "approve" the Curtis Park Village project nor does it have the authority to approve a land development project. What SACOG did was analyze the transportation performance of the project and two other project alternatives at the request of the city, the developer and the neighborhood association. That information is reported in a letter to Councilmember Hammond.
