After a long and hard campaign between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown, Brown once again has been elected governor. And I can admit that I am absolutely schocked. I really thought for a second that Meg Whitman could possibly have a big chance. Jerry Brown does not necessarily have the brightest political resume that he can dazzle people with. But dazzle he did in this November Election. The general public from my age group were really sick about the ads and the campaigns were both contenders were brutally bashing each other and in some cases take out each others dirty laundry. And who can forget the scandal about the phonecall when one of Brown's Staff member referred to Whitman as a "whore
Living in the Community of Greenhaven in Sacramento, I’m 6-8 minutes away from Alice Birney Elementary school. I was completely horrified to hear that the school could close by the end of the 2008-2009 school year. On April 15, there was a board meeting where parents and the community could voice their opinion on the closure of the school. There were poster boards hanging from the fence that surrounds the campus that read “Kindergartners Love Alice Birney” or “Help save our school.” There was also another poster that informed all the neighbors around the area what time the meeting was going to be and asked them for support. If the school were to close by the end of the year, students wou
Ok. Honestly I've been to the sacramento zoo about twice and have not been back since. Honestly there are not enough animals to really go and see. The more exotic animals a Zoo aquires the more business it gets. I understand people like it being "small" and "cuddly" or whatever, but honestly if I want to go to a Zoo... I just go to the bay area. More land, more exotic, more variety of animals.
Here are my two cents on this issue. I honest to god believe people should look past the Maloofs. THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE MALOOFS, this is about trying to make this city thrive. It is quite pathetic in my opinion the even though Sacramento is the Capitol of California is a joke of a city. Take some pride in being the capitol. Demand changes and better downtown areas and let's keep the kings here in this city. If they leave what would this city have left? I am not originally from Sacramento, in fact I am a San Francisco native and I take pride of the SF Giants just as much as I take pride in living here. Let's makes this about the city. Honestly people, think about the jobs that will be lost and about the opportunites this city will never aquire if the Kings leave.
Great piece and sounds really interesting especially for Valentine's Day. Great Stuff

Conversation about: Kings decision coming down to wire
Either way if the kings leave so many jobs will be cut which leads to vandalism. If we keep the kings we keep at least some jobs and revenue coming into the city. This is what it is all about. Think outside the box dude.
