Conversation about: Photo essay: Payphones – A thing of the past ...almost

Awesome article. I am a telecommunications junkie and love all things related to phones! Reminds me of the old site Payphone Project, I used to use it to check for phones in order to use my dialer to make calls to err - I mean my friends would use a dialer back in the day to make long distance calls. Here's the URL - if you like this article, might enjoy this site. http://www.payphone-project.com/

Conversation about: 'Occupy Sacramento' blasts City Council

"the whole world is watching" not when I'm asleep ! Go home, and then show up early and try again tomorrow. Do these people even have an agenda yet? Last I checked they were still trying to figure things out.

Conversation about: Local workers join nationwide movement with Occupy Sacramento

I'm heartened to see some logical points here in the comment section! I just don't see what is so difficult to pick an idea (or two or three) and FOCUS! Sea Shepherd stands against the whaling industry, the NRA wants to protect gun owner rights, the Tea Party is against taxation and excessive government intervention, why can't these guys get their act together and say "we are here because of X we want to see Y in place to accomplish z". Instead we get this lame excuse "We are a new kind of revolution and blah blah blah" Yeah, if you are angry about something, you should know damn well just what it is you are angry about and what you hope to do about it! It isn't the media's fault that they can't get their sh!t together.

Conversation about: New group of city employees unionizes

I can only imagine the horrific conditions those dozens of workers must be subjected to. I'm sure they are shackled and beaten in conditions that would make an Upton Sinclair novel seem idyllic by comparison. Thank you Senora Contreras for stepping up to make a change for the downtrodden! *raises fist in the air*

Conversation about: City Council to consider economic boycott against Arizona

I'm an American. My parents were both legal immigrants. I support the Arizona law and many other sons and daughters of immigrants do as well, you might not hear us though because we aren't waving other nation's flags in protests. We are going to school or working! Best comments in this thread: Matt McGuire and strychnine

Conversation about: Sacramento City Council to discuss Arizona law

Not all "latinos" disapprove of the AZ law. I've read it (unlike Holder, Napolitano, Obama etc) and it's very simple: they are upholding the FEDERAL immigration law! Here is a crucial portion: The attorney general or county attorney shall not investigate complaints that are based solely on race, color or national origin.
