Conversation about: Neil Davidson runs for City Council District 4

Your idea for the mid-size event (hopefully concerts) venue is a great idea and Sacramento is definitely under served for 2500 people shows. However, I only read great identification of problems and not much prose related to solutions. People running for office in our City are great at identifying problems, but the problem is we are lacking people that can bring others together to form solutions, or at least identify some ideas.

Conversation about: Mitch Netto takes on McCarty for District 6 council seat

“I spend every dollar as if it were my dollar and I pinch every penny,” he said. “It is my money and it’s your money, and we deserve to have it spent wisely – every last dollar.” Would Mr. Netto invest $200+ million of his own money on the presumption that he MAY break even? Complete pandering contradiction. Good thing he's not an investment banker.

Conversation about: Betancourt runs for District 2 seat on City Council

(Press Play for talking head rhetoric) - "Public safety, education, and smart growth. Blah, Blah, Blah." Sounds the exact same as everyone else on the Council. I would like to see someone, anyone propose a specific solution to a problem. How will she get the crackheads off of Del Paso Blvd.? What ideas does she have to make Del Paso Blvd. vibrant again, given redevelopment funds are all but going away?

Conversation about: The Downtown arena funding plan is a complete mess

Ask the City of Chicago how that 'lot's of upfront cash now" Wall Street scheme for parking is working out for them? You could see how the brilliant greedy blood suckers on WS could apply the same principal from meters to garages. The City will lose their shirt on this deal just like they lose their shirt on every deal dealing with anyone from the private sector. Millions more that we are all on the hook for because of some "quick, much needed cash." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtEIIzWbGi0
