Criterion Films is re-releasing the Award Winning Documentary "The Times of Harvey Milk" and the Harvey Milk Foundation will host the official viewing celebration in Sacramento on Tuesday, May 17. This viewing is the first of many weeklong events to celebrate Harvey Milk Day 2011. The evening kicks off with an exclusive conversation between Stuart Milk, nephew of LGBT activist Harvey Milk and the founder of the Harvey Milk Foundation, and Assemblymember Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco) on Harvey Milk’s impact and efforts underway in Sacramento to keep his legacy alive. TEAM MARIA hosts spin-a-thon & auction during Second Saturday Art Walk. TEAM MARIA set out early Saturday, September 12 on the fundraising bike ride from Carmel through Big Sur to Hearst Castle Beach in support of Best Buddies International, a community for helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. TEAM MARIA exceeded their goal to raise $30,000 for Best Buddies by earning $80,000 in only six weeks. TEAM MARIA had riders on each of the four distance legs of the race – all riders completed the Challenge.
