Fall harvest is here and with it comes the 33rd annual Jewish Food Faire at Congregation Beth Shalom in Carmichael. On Sunday September 26th, at 4746 El Camino Avenue you can join the fun, fablulous feasting and festivities (please pardon the alliteration). This year David Sax who wrote Save The Deli inspired the event which will feature treats from Canter's Deli in LA, Katz's Deli in NYC and Saul's Deli in Berkeley. Along with that many homemade goodies can be purchased (and preordered if you go to the Congregation Beth Shalom's website, cbshalom.org), breakfast and lunch will be served. The festivities include live music and entertainment throughout the day, arts and crafts vendors

Why are patients here not prescribed this medication. I believe it was called marinol (spelling???). Do you know anything about this?
It is a magical show and I am glad to hear from someone who had never seen it before that it translated so well to theatre in the round. Broadway theatres, for the most part, are small and a great deal of action in some of Weber's musicals happens on ramps all around the theatre. Starlight Express had the performers rollerskating on ramps all around the theatre!
Conversation about: Mental Health Blues
Cuts for mental health have been going on for many years. Having worked in community mental health from 1974 to the early 90's, I have seen every program I worked in cut. But just look at the beautiful art work in front of the beautiful state mental health building downtown! Bravo to you for standing up and fighting.
