Um... could you tell me what a "Chinese fire drill" is,I'm not familiar with that slang term.
I really wanted to go to the Ball Drop, had I been alone i probably would have. I really was'nt expecting the Ball Drop to be spectacular,I was curious to see who would show.Sounds like a real turn out.I was in Old Sacramento with my teenage son, who's only focus was to meet his girlfriend.Either way I guess I would have enjoyed the night. The cool part is because we rode in(bike & skateboard),so we did'nt have to fight the traffic or worry about parking. Happy New Year!
Yea,I did too! Gee,computers are fun not evil as I once thought.Just kidding.
I plan on stopping at the Sacramento Bike Kitchen this Saturday. I need some instruction on maintaining my bike and It sounds like a good place to start. See you there.
I just realized who you are,I have seen some of your books. Very cool!! Sacramento really does have a great history, there something for everyone.Sometimes we have to look just below the surface to find it!!
I would have loved to have been present in the courtroom to witness your effort! I am sorry the outcome was not in your favor, but you tried. The comments above are something to think about too. Safe driving!!
Thank you for the information! I am very behind on my computer skills and its fun to learn about a new tool.
Jennifer,I believe the book Sacramento's Boulevard Park (CA) (Images of America)by Paula Boghosian, Don Cox,has a little bit of information on that mansion and others in the area. The Sacramento Room at the main library is also a good source, its a great place!
hey,a bike shop. That would be good.
I will have to go check it out,it' not to far from me.
Thanks for the information.I remember the cartoon, loved it every time I saw it!! To many times to count. This sounds like something worth checking out,and its Free!! I love free.
I plan to check out the midnight ball drop.I will be amongst the sketchy looking characters one must pass.It may be good fun.Happy New Year !!!!!
i have heard the siren, but had not thought of it lately.I believe there is one located very near Stockton Blvd. & San Fransisco(50th St). It's in the corner of the parking lot.I'm interested in in seeing what you find out.I was told what the siren was for when I first heard it,but thats all.
Niccholas, how do I get my bag? Should I come into office the office?
I get the Bag??Kool! I will be looking for the next post.,this is good fun!
I am pleasently suprised to have found this article today.Mayor Johnson has been getting out into the community. I've had the opportunity of seeing him twice in the past month, without leaving home.He has attended two events at Bishop Francis A. Quinn Cottages. Nice to meet you Mr.Mayor.
I remember 524 prior to remodeling ,it was always good.I took my son there about 2 weeks ago and realy enjoyed it.
After riding the trains quite often the past year,I would say they are very close to schedule. There were a couple occasions when a train did not show, but it was due to problem on the line.I have waited for a train a couple times that never showed, but I had failed to notice the footnote. There are a few trains that don't run on certain days and they are not clearly marked.
Conversation about: City Will Survey Underground Sidewalks
I have been intrigued by the the underground passages upon learning of them in 1980,when I moved to Sacramento.I enjoy our city's history period! My mother was raised here in the 30's-50' then moved for many years.Eventually she came back "home" and I guess I found mine. I would love to see more preservation, but its seems to always be to little to late. Its encouraging that some effort is being made,I thought the city had already abandoned any ideas of saving what is left.
