As someone who used to be a vegetarian, I never felt like it was difficult to find vegetarian-friendly places in Sacramento, even if they didn't cater specifically to vegetarians. Unless you waltz into a steakhouse, I think many local restaurants are willing to bend over backwards to make you happy. Of course, being a vegan is more challenging. I think you're on to something here: Why not do a series of articles about the local restaurants that do offer vegan options? That would be a great way to get the word out and give those businesses some attention.
