What an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of turkey for a good cause---!
Insurance companies will charge us ---in added fees to our policies. They probably will make a tidy profit---after they reconfigure the administrative charges for changes in policies. Of course, we could privatize the fire department---but---hmmm---maybe, we should---UPS works.
I sure hope that those of you who "ask" the hard questions---have found time to seek out the candidate and ask him these questions. You care about these kinds of answers. Then, because the SAC PRESS is amenable to citizen input---you can publish it ---here. It is important to exert individual responsibility in voting for a candidate----especially, if you believe the PRESS is not responding to your particular point of view which can include bias, religious differences, party affiliation, and even downright quirkiness.
Blame it on the teachers! Really?
How come PG&E didn't contribute to the Republican students ---if they are so pure? I betcha the Republican students will receive contributions soon----
Could this apply to the politicians as well? Just joking.
What would the world do without artists? Cervenka shows us that we must always change---and find excitement in creativity. She points the way to the discoveries of profound truths.
Looks like waves to me. Beware.
Misleading firefighters! Deception! I betcha this makes it easier for the City to now negotiate with the firefighters.
It's not scare tactics---it's real. We need to raise taxes---or eliminate programs. All this would mean---longer lines for any problems concerning city or county government , poor road maintenance----more potholes---more delays---more obvious poor people in the streets----need for more private charities to take up the slack---etc. etc. Pay cuts are needed---but then----tax levels will continue to go down. Government is never appreciated ---until it is gone----. Of course, we could tax churches----they get off scot free---hmmmm.
Just an idea for a fundraiser. Why not have a Doughnut Festival---cops could be the judges---citizens could submit samples---etc. etc....there could be a history of the doughnut lecture---calorie counts of commercial doughnuts---contest for a healthy doughnut---coffee could be donated---an auction of a wine that goes with doughnuts---
Basically, for downright honesty---you have to hire an independent auditor--who monitors the city or council's auditor--. But we all agree---trust no one.
Of course, the auditor could be compromised by the political intentions of the Council.
