Yes, thanks for raising this worthwhile issue. Giving blood takes only 30-60 minutes and saves lives. I received an award last Sunday from Blood Source for donating 1,000 pints of whole blood, plasma and platelets, joining the prestigious Millenial Club. Okay, so it's a little weird, but I like helping people and the nurses and technicians are the nicest people in the world. And besides that, it's an economic activity because you're keeping people employed and the surplus blood is shipped outside of Sacramento resulting in dollars flowing back in to the local economy. Good deal! And they always have great snacks and refreshments at the snack bar after you donate. So it's a Win-Win-Win-Win-Win proposition. Donate a pint of blood and save a life.
Yes, the Dragon Home has a regional word-of-mouth reputation. I'm often asked by visitors to our neighborhood, when I'm outside gardening at my home on 4th Ave, where it is located. (But we who live here in Curtis Park prefer to think of it as one of our gems of Curtis Park, with all due respect to our good neighbors in Land Park.)
Conversation about: Capital Stage Founders to Star in American Buffalo
Capital Stage continues to raise the bar for quality productions in Sac. Williams and Mohrman will be a real treat. Surveying the Sacramento theatre landscape for March-April, this will probably be the play most worth seeing.
