Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate. The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love. The value of organized governance, is the dually authorized collection of taxes, for support of City and State. I am of the argument, that all citizens, taxpayers or not, are the recipient of services and protection. In sickness, and infirmed in spirit. With family and friends, or alone and isolated. For me , it is not the churches alone, but the collective realization, that the poor and suffering lead to the inefficiency of the city and state. Even the most influencing in council should realize, the risk of leaving the homeless and destitute out of a City's efficiency analysis is just cruel and wrong. The efforts of my life have been with the City of Vancouver Canada. Dr. Blatherwick, the Provincial health officer, has argued for the inclusion of the homeless in the complete wellness, prosperity model of City governance. Much to his dismay and mine, there is an increase in destitute on our " Vancouver's " streets. Drugs, Alcohol, and mental illness are a scourge to our fine City. This Christmas holiday, i wish Sacramento Press readers, to review the place of the destitute in your fine city. I have built many umbrella radio communication systems in my area, for Police,Fire and Engineering services, and i can tell you, flat out, that the risk of protecting your homeless and destitute, far reduces the cost of Policing and other safety concerns. Personal greed seems amplified in the individual these days, lets change that outlook, by adjusting the integrity in ourselves to help bring in balance a healthy City. Let our thoughts and actions, reflect how we think of security and protection for all, this comming new year. In cause and effect, let us all think inclusive " less we be left out "

i as a support person, Radio and Date systems designer , for Vancouver Fire Department:, give my words of appreciation of a life well served for the people of Sacramento . Many Fire Captains, are speaking up on the need to have portable radios work to the requirements of loud ambient noise environments. to that cause, and the safety of the individual on a fire scene, i dedicate my life . Upon reading this story by Jonathan Burgess it is evident that Captain Terrence Gee has dedicated his life and given it up for the life and safety of Sacramento residences.
