"I don't have a gang member mentality of red and blue, republican and democratic again, I look at a candidates efforts, labor and character/ integrity of lack of and base a decision. " Really? How many republicans have you voted for?

I was considering a vote for Mr. Rewers. If he wants to raise my taxes, he can kiss any chance of receiving my vote goodbye.

Rhonda: Bonnie Pannell is the widow of my 6th grade teacher and former city councilman, Sam Pannell. I can say that w/ out any reservation that she is a great person, a wonderful wife, and a a wonderful mother. This is as far as I go in terms of her politics. In terms of hidden agenda's, who are you trying to fool? Most everyone that writes in the politics section of Sac Press has a hidden agenda, excluding me of course. I write about the things I see and the things that relate to me. It just so happens that KM is my D6 councilman, and I happen to not think very highly of his work. Whether or not that sits well w/ you or the other democratic party drones on Sac Press is really just irrelevant to me.

Rhonda: "Personally, when I know their is a snake in the grass and it is the same snake that bit me before- I won't pick it back up." So a mere endorsement by the mayor would keep you from voting for someone? Does this mean that you will not be voting for Richard Pan, Roger Dickinson, Darrell Steinberg, or Doris Matsui in current or future elections since Mayor Johnson has endorsed or previously endorsed all of the above?

Henry: None of them, not one deserves re-election on the city council or the mayor's office. If they would only fight for police, fire, infrastructure, and overall city well being the way they fought for that damned arena...

Choosing between Pannell and Williams is akin to playing Russian roulette w/ a two shot revolver and two bullets. Of the 52% that Williams speaks of, what percentage of this unemployed will actually care enough to vote? My guess is not many. District 8 is a monument to entitlement culture. Williams and Pannell are the pigeons that inhabit that monument.

Conversation about: Sacramento Building Trades Leader Calls on City Council Candidate Netto to Suspend Campaign Until he Pays his Unpaid Taxes

For a real look at McCarty's district 6 work: http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/67937/Five_Reasons_Why_Kevin_McCarty_Does_Not_Deserve_Your_Vote Why is a guy that works for the Sacramento-Sierra Building and Construction Trades Council doing McCarty's dirty work? Is McCarty too much of a chump to man up and do it himself? As a district 6 resident, I am undecided in this contest. The more I hear this clown run his mouth, the more inclined I am to vote for Netto.

Conversation about: Use arena money to bolster school funding

I am always amazed how the city can come up w/ innovative ways to fund an arena, yet cannot apply the same innovation when it comes to maintaining our police force, fire department, city employees, and a host of other necessary functions. Personally, I like Raymond's idea about the city pitching in to help our city schools, but I understand why it cannot happen. The current city leadership is inept, lacks the forethought to do what is in the best interest of its citizens, and truly does not understand the complexities and/or nuances of governing. We deserve a lot better. Maybe Mr. Raymond should have run for mayor.

Casey Kirk, the Sac Press comment Czar, sent me an email a few weeks ago informing me that she deleted one of my comments that was about 1/1000 as inflammatory as Mr. Runge's post. It appears as if you only believe in free speech/press when it is soothing to your ears, missy, as Mr. Runge's comments are pretty crude.

Hi Ken: The understand your motives for writing such an article and I do not fault you for doing so. My point was that your article, press release, op-ed, or whatever it is would be much more credible if you weren't quoting yourself. In other words, my criticism is/was more about your writing style/quoting choice than it was about the content of your work. I hope this clarifies things.

The Obama-Biden sign in the background was enough to make me throw up in my mouth. I'm sure she'll do well the rest of the counter culture McGovernick's on the council.

As to the gist of the article, if an organization wants to pull their respective donation because said organization has a philosophical difference with the group they are donating then more power to them. How upset were the liblabs when a myriad of sponsors pulled their ads from the Rush Limbaugh show?

I am aware with how your site operates. I find it particularly interesting that you continue to want to meet me in person and contact people like Shawn Eldridge in attempts to find out who I am. It's really kind of creepy. I am who I say I am. Lastly, I thought Mr. Pierce was a SacPress journalist. I will modify my first comment.

Conversation about: Why I Voted No on the Arena Deal

While I have been an outspoken critic of Councilman McCarty's tenure on the council, I must give credit where credit is due. Mr. McCarty's decision was wise, well thought out, difficult, and in the best interest of Sacramento. It takes a lot of guts to do what Mr. McCarty did this past Tuesday. Thank you, Kevin. Well done!

If the 14th amendment were so "equal," why would we need a 19th amendment so women could vote? It has everything to do with the fact that the 14 amendment applies to citizenship.
