This year marks the 125th anniversary of The Salvation Army, an internationally known and respected community assistance-based organization. Currently present in 121 countries around the world, The Salvation Army was founded in the United Kingdom in 1865, and later brought to the United States and Sacramento in the 1880s. May 19 marks a special day for the organization and The Firehouse restaurant, as it was on that day in 1885 that The Salvation Army held its first meeting in Sacramento at The Firehouse. Ten 22 Responds to Bee Review, Offers Deal

In light of recent KCRA coverage, Old Sacramento’s Ten 22 restaurant is bringing back its "You Be the Judge" promotion. The offer was announced by Ten 22 Partner Terry Harvego, who appeared in a taped-segment for a story on Blair Anthony Robertson, food critic for The Sacramento Bee, on Thursday. Two Anniversaries, One Cause

This year marks the anniversary of two of Sacramento’s most historic landmarks – The Crocker Art Museum, the leading art institution for the California Capital Region and Central Valley, and Old Sacramento’s Firehouse Restaurant. This is way overdue, but... To clarify, the 70-inch TV is in the private dining room. There are smaller TVs in the bar-area, but the main dining room is distraction free :-)
