Wanderlust 2011: Could you be love – or be loved?

We came. We lusted. We followed the sound wave of the ohm to Squaw Valley. We swam to freedom picking up the dreams we've forgotten and learned to love not just our lover, our children, and our neighbor, but ourselves. Boundaries were challenged. We twisted our squared lives through yoga, and turned it into a triangle, an oblong, a parallelogram, and finally the “star”. As in Franti’s song, Could you be love – or be loved?  Here are ways the love was shared at the Wanderlust Festival.  We accepted that being a “Rockstar” has no age limit. Scuba Review or Refresh

Can you believe this warm weather?  Who would have thought that we would be warming up so quickly.  I was surprised to see divers and snorkelers on the Lake recently.  This type of weather always reminds me to ask about Scuba review or refresher classes. Beginning in 1995, the Coastal Commission of California has pushed the Lawson family to change camping habits under threat of being shut down. While the Commission is working to preserve the environment, it has given very restrictive demands that can only be met with extra money. The Law

Singapore. Kailua, Hawaii. And Sacramento? Yes, our hometown has made the Los Angeles Times' "most underrated places of the world" list. Compiled by the newspaper's travel staff, the list includes spots around the world as great places to visit that usually don't make the covers of the glossy travel magazines. But why Sacramento? The Times says it's a great day trip, full of history and beauty. And the newspaper is right: Here's an excerpt from the Times http://travel.latimes.com/articles/la-trw-underrated19-2009apr19: Why people ignore it: Just 80 miles from the breezy, self-consciously quaint tourist magnet of San Francisco, Sacramento is anything but. Saddled with hot summers, a dy
