In a city that boasts a thriving community of locally owned businesses, artists, musicians and writers, it’s no wonder that Sacramento has a stunning array of public art displays that have taken the form of murals on the sides of buildings throughout town. The works are concentrated in Midtown and downtown Sacramento, where the eclectic collection of stores and businesses creates the ideal canvas for some of the most visually impressive pieces of public art. Hello NEW mural

One month ago it looked like bye bye mural. Today, it was hello new one.   Stephanie Taylor, the artist who created the mural, said at the time the old mural came down: "It is finally being replaced by the vendor, Metromedia Technologies. They printed the original mural in 1996. It lasted many more years than we expected, but finally started to fail in 2007. The Downtown Partnership and the City paid to have it reprinted- it's digital."   Today the mural was reinstalled.   Mike and Karen Winn, Winn Associates, have their office in the Elks Building,  7th floor.
