Good food and red shoes at the Red Shoe Crawl

Sacramento Ronald McDonald House fans have an opportunity to show their support by donning red shoes at the Second Annual Red Shoe Crawl that will be held June 26. Crawlers will begin at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel, wandering around J and L streets at their own pace to enjoy the delicacies of Midtown and downtown Sacramento. Proceeds from ticket purchases will benefit the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake charities. Oh, What a Beautiful "Day In the Country!"

From the beautiful day to the scrumptious food, this was an event not to be missed. It was new to me, and I was introduced to it by local wine personality/super salesmen Clint Crow from Berryessa Gap. "You just Have to check this out," he said. And after going and finding out not only the talent involved, but the cause they support, it makes me want to tell all foodies, sustainability kids and farmers alike. Sheraton Grand NYE fashion show

On Thursday, as part of the Sheraton Grand's New Year's Eve bash, six local designers showed off their clothing lines to start off the evening. There were three rooms playing music all night. One played mashups of Bollywood and Indian music. The other two rooms played top 40, hip hop, house and dance music. 1,500 tickets were presold for the event, but there seemed to be a lack of security for the number of people who showed up.
