Sac-Con, Sacramento’s Comic, Toy & Anime Show, continues to grow in reputation and in numbers. Comic books, toys, anime art and merchandise, video games, panels, costumes and other entertainment was provided for guests at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento on Sunday. Many guests come for a few events at Sac-Con, but the overwhelming majority attends to meet new and old friends and meet their favorite voice actors. Over 100 vendor tables, several small press artists, and arts and craft stations were set up throughout the Center. Many original art items were available for sale, and artists created new works of art to sell, posed for pictures and signed autographs. Sac-Con, besides en
The Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento hosted Sac-Con this Weekend. The Sacramento's Comic Book and Toy Show was held on Sunday. Many vendors filled the main hall and other rooms. Artists, special guests, gamers and hundredths of Sac-Con fans dressed in costume enjoyed another well put together event. Team LoveHate had several vehicles stationed just outside the main entrance of the Scottish Rite Center. The rain did not keep on-lookers from taking a close look at the vehicles but it did bring down their numbers. The Comic Book and Toy Show has grown over the years. Halloween came early last weekend when armies of zombies, stormtroopers and hundreds of civilian fanboys and fangirls joined Lando Calrissian, Jason Voorhees and Howard the Duck for a celebration of all things dark and bloodiful at the two-day Sacramento Sci-Fi/Horror Show. For most, however, the week

"Indy Comix" is an umbrella term for projects that fall outside the realm of mainstream superhero comics. According to Indy Euphoria founder, Anthony Leano, it encompasses comics that are "alternative, underground, independents or small press, self-published, new brow, and low brow." The art represented by Indy Euphoria steps away from the mass-produced and toward that of a singular, h
Every comic character from Pokemon to Care Bears was represented at the Sacramento Comic, Toy and Anime Show held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on Sunday. "People come to play games, dress up and buy comic stuff in the dealers hall," attendee Philip Reed said. The rooms were filled with conversations about Final Fantasy, glowing swords, fairy wings and furry pants. A majority of the nearly 200 people in attendance were dressed as their favorite comic book characters as they looked through the thousands of half-price comics. "It's called 'cosplay' in Japan when everyone dresses up as their favorite character all the time," Reed said. "It's Halloween every day for them." The main
