The Brazilian Center will have a Brazilian Night on April 24th at 8:30 pm, with live music, brazilian food and our tradicional Capoeira. This fundraiser is to help the Brazilian Center to create more programs for the community at large. Come to experience a wonderfull brazilian night and meet other brazilians in the community, be expose to our culture and help us help others, by participating in our events what is tax deductable, you will be part of a positive difference that we are trying to make in the life of others. One week left to support mountain biking in national parks

 It's always been a struggle for me when I bring my bike to Yosemite or any other national park.  Because of the difficulty of siting any kind of mountain bike trail, you're stuck on the paved roads with the Winnebagos and tour buses.  Frankly, that scares the snot out of me.  I wind up riding in places I shouldn't be, and that's bad too.  The International Mountain Bike Association has been working for years to improve off-pavement bicycle access in National Parks and many other places.  The Park Service has finally come up with a proposed new policy which will make it a little easier to site some trails in national parks.  There is one week left for you to get your comments in on the new

Sacramento Cyclocross season ends with a bang!

If you’re a fan of bikes, especially going fast and furious off road, then you should mark Jan. 3 on your calendar. That’s when Sacramento’s cyclocross (CX) season ends with a “final showdown” at Sutter Landing Park, featuring some of the area’s top cyclocross riders. Linda Elgart founded the race series with her husband John, both of whom have been national champions for their age groups, John three times. “It’s so much fun, people try it and they become addicted to it,” says Linda Elgart. “It’s physically very taxing, but it’s low-key.
