The Mothman Dilemma

Before I get into this story, the character you see with this article is my character, I created back in 1996. He is called The Legendary Dark Silhouette. I published one comic book in 1996 with the same title, now the comic book is being made into a movie, you can see the first movie ad here: www.jazmaonline.com Now to the story:

As I am driving the Ghost Tracker vehicle around Sacramento, I come upon the Tower Bridge that allows travelers to go from West Sacramento into Old Sacramento. I am listening to High Time We Went by Joe Cocker and 4 Minutes by Madonna & Justin Timberlake. The day is beautiful and the music is upbeat. I keep surveying the bridge, because of an unusual email that I received.

Here is the partial email:

"Hey Paul, looking forward to the upcoming scouting mission. I had an unusual experience 3 weeks ago, my buddy and I were crossing over the Tower Bridge and we saw this huge black thing with huge wings fly off the bridge and go down the Sacramento River. I was thinking, could this be the Mothman? What do you think? I wish I could have taken a picture of this thing, it was sure big! No way could it be a bird!"

Now, that I am driving around the Tower Bridge, I am looking for any signs or indications that a big black thing was on the bridge. I don't see any signs of imprints, large feathers or anything else that I can see from my vantage points at the bridge. My Mothman investigation becomes inconclusive. I asked the person that emailed me, if he had been drinking or on any kind of narcotics. His response was definitely 'no'.

I can only wonder if he is influenced by the movie or the book, the Mothman Prophesies. He claims he never read the book, but has seen the movie on DVD. The Mothman was prevalent during 1966, when the Mothman was first sighted by David & Linda Scarberry & Steve & Mary Mallette.

The two couples claimed the creature was at least 7 feet tall, with a huge wing span. It walked upright like a man and had two very red eyes. The Mothman was first sighted near the West Virginia Ordnance Works, an abandoned WWII TNT factory.

I can only wonder if this abandoned WWII TNT factory could have opened up some kind of dimensional rift that allowed Mothmen creatures to enter our reality. Scientists theorize that our Multiverse is made up of many universes that are side-by-side with each other. These universal membranes are so close, that if you can find wormholes or dimensional intersections, you could go from one dimensional universe to another. Could the Mothman somehow come into our dimension via a dimensional wormhole or intersection created by the West Virginia Ordnance Works?

For a good while, people of Point Pleasant reported seeing this creature, it was also reported that the Men in Black were involved in interrogating witnesses. I can only wonder why, we are not being visited by the Mothmen on a more frequent basis, like the Bigfoot. I heard one report that the Mothman was seen before 9/11 at the Twin Towers. This was never verified as true. Some people theorize that the Mothman appears before a disaster, since he appeared before the Silver Bridge Collapse in Point Pleasant and wasn't seen afterwards or the sightings dwindled down to nothing.

It will be interesting to see if anything disastrous happens in Sacramento...if what my email friend says is true. That he and his buddy saw something that could have been the Mothman on that night. I can only wait and see. But, to be honest, I doubt it.

Connie Brenner, HPI Paranormal Investigator obtains EVPs at Placerville Residence:
Connie Brenner at the Placerville Investigation obtained two EVPs, one sounds like a woman saying Paul and the other EVP sounds like chanting. Connie says: “Ok..now this is the second one. We were in the living room. Andrew was standing between the two couches and my recorder was on the end of the table behind him. At the 1:24 mark I hear almost a wheezy sound and then at the 1:30 mark you can definitely hear what sounds like a woman crying out, she sounds like she is in pain. You will have to let me know what you think. Oh...the first one I sent was in the bedroom where we were getting the cold spots. Connie”

My Final Conclusion:
Because paranormal activity seems to follow the occupant around, it would indicate a poltergeist effect. EVPs are still being analyzed for authenticity. At this time, the outcome of this investigation is still inconclusive.

The Ghost of the Lone Wolf of Highway #1

I have encountered many outlaw bicycle clubs during my lifetime and even have a connection with some of them. I have seen: The Louisville Outlaws, Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Club (in Texas), Oakland Hell's Angels, San Jose Gypsy Jokers, Monterey Losers and the Stockton Skulls. I have a female cousin that was once the property of a Hell's Angel. I have a male cousin who is an actual member of the San Jose Gypsy Jokers. I have ran into the Stockton Skulls at a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young / Buddy Miles Concert in Stockton, where the Skulls went up against the Stockton Police. The police broke up this concert by tear gas and swinging their batons. The year was 1968.

Bikers at times live a harsh life. One urban legend tells the sad story of the Lone Wolf of Highway #1. The story goes, that the Lone Wolf who was not part of any biker gang found his girl with an outlaw biker gang called the Bakersfield Blackhearts (now defunct). The Lone Wolf found her being intimate with 3 members of the Bakersfield Blackhearts. The Lone Wolf seeking revenge shot one of the bikers that was fooling around with his girlfriend. The Lone Wolf hightailed it out of the valley and made it to Highway #1, where he would be far removed from the Bakersfield Blackhearts' territory. As he was headed up Highway #1 towards Big Sur, he did not realize he was being followed by a truck. Inside the truck was one of the Bakersfield Blackhearts. When they reached a steep winding area of Highway #1, the truck smashed into his bike. The Lone Wolf plummeted onto the cliffs. When his body hit the jagged rocks, he was instantly dead. The year was 1964.

People now claim that they see a single headlight coming at them fast from the rear. The single headlight will follow them for a few minutes and then vanish. In 1970, I was traveling on Highway #1 in a 1965 Dodge Coronet Station Wagon late at night on Highway #1 with my then girlfriend Raquel Nunez. I was leaving Raquel Nunez's father's ranch - The Sanchez Adobe Ranch. I was bringing Raquel back to San Bruno where her home was and she claimed that a motorcycle was tailing me and was very close to my bumper and to be careful. When I looked in my rear view mirror, I saw no motorcycle. She claimed up and down she saw the single bright headlight of a motorcycle on the rear end of my vehicle.

I didn't see it, but perhaps...just perhaps....I was being followed by the Ghost of the Lone Wolf.

The Evidence of the Gods:

Let me get into another subject. Let's talk about the Evidence of the Gods. Skeptics says that UFOs are no more than weather inversions, swamp gas, camera lens flares, etc. But, if we were to start gathering the evidence to present to the jury, let's see what some of that evidence might be:

Mount Popocatepetl in Mexico.
This would be a great place to gather evidence of UFO activity. UFOs are constantly seen in and around this active volcano. It is claimed that the strongest electromagnetic fields are found here, than any location on Earth. This is probably one of the main fueling sites for UFOs to energize their vehicles. We should have 24/7 cameras located all around this volcano to gather photographic evidence.

The Oz Factor.
The Oz Factor was described by US Air Force personnel when they were approached by a UFO in Rendleshaim Forest during the RAF Bentwaters Incident. The Oz Effect was caused by the electromagnetic and static energy generated by the craft. The Oz Factor caused the soldiers to slow down physically and mentally in their processes. This is referred to as an 'associative dysfunction'. Everything the soldiers felt during this phase was surreal. Immediate medical examinations of these soldiers may have produced alternate brain patterns, giving us some kind of credence that they experienced something that was unusual. More evidence for the jury to digest.

Various Types of Aliens.
Interviews with abductees and witnesses throughout the world, report seeing 5 types of aliens. The Zetas, Nordics, Mantis Beings, Reptilians and Large Grays. It would be great to do interviews with people in remote locations that have been abducted, that have no access to TV and books and see if their stories coincide with descriptions of other abductees. To see if these interviewees describe the same type of aliens. It would also be exciting to see if the medical experiments coincide with other abductions. An abduction and Close Encounter Data Base would be relevant for cases such as the Tujunga Canyon Abductions from the early 50s of 2 women who were subjected to medical examinations by aliens to Travis Walton's abduction in which he encountered small grays and Nordics to Officer Lonnie Zamora's close encounter in April 24, 1964 in Socorro, New Mexico to the Zavodsk Square, Voronezh, Russia Incident in which a group of children witness a landed UFO in the park. A child from the group approaches the UFO and an alien points something at the child and makes him vanish. When the UFO departs, the child reappears. With a large centralized data base gathering all of the abductee and close encounter information, we would be able to pinpoint consistency or contradictions to these stories.

UFO Landing Spots.
All UFO landing spots need to be fully investigated, photographs taken, soil samples taken. Information should all go into a centralized data base for all UFOlogists to analyze.

Alien Implants.
Implants with truthful substance should be collected for evidence and kept in one centralized location for analysis. Implants that are known to have a strong covering of living tissue composed of protein and keratin are the best candidates. These are the implants that doctors have a hard time cutting the outside membrane of the implant using a scalpel. The tissue for these implants is the same composition of human hair or fingernails. Most of these implants when in the body contain strong electromagnetic properties. Some scientists have determined that the metallic composition of an implant seems to have meteorite origins, because the isotopes of the metallic composition cannot be found on our terrestrial landscape.

Photographs and Video Footage.
Again, should be kept in a centralized location for analysis. Especially photographs and video footage taken from reliable sources, such as NASA. Video footage should be analyzed for intelligent movement of craft. Photographs don't particularly have to be UFOs, it could be of The Bridge structure seen on the Moon. Science Editor John J. O'Neill and British Astronomer Dr. H.P. Wilkins confirmed there was a bridge structure on the Moon, 12 miles long. Any photographic evidence of this structure should be collected for further analysis.

Statements of Witnesses.
In 1979, when Linda Napolitano was taken from her Brooklyn apartment in Manhattan, there were many witnesses to this event called the Brooklyn Bridge Case. All statements should have been gathered of these witnesses for future reference. All of their contact information should be collected for future interviews. If we had started early in collecting statements, we would have the 1957 statement of Antonio Villas Boas, the Brazilian farmer who later became a lawyer. He was subject to an abduction and had sex with an alien female. He later claims that he was angered by the abduction, because the aliens were looking for a good stallion to improve their stock. It would be nice to have Betty and Barney Hill's statements of their abductions. It would be nice to have Mac Brazel's statement on what kind of debris he saw during the 1947 Roswell fiasco, before government agents shut him up for being one of the gunmen who killed Pat Garrett. Since there is no statute of limitations to murder, Mac Brazel became quiet on what he saw in 1947. Note: Pat Garrett is the deputy that killed William Bonney aka Billy the Kid. Double Note: When I was a kid, I went to New Mexico and visited Billy the Kid's grave. Little did I know, when I was sitting on Billy's tombstone, that Billy would have a connection to the Roswell Incident. The irony of it all.

My Conclusion.
If UFO investigating groups would start sharing their information and setting a goal of having a centralized computer for all of their evidence, perhaps one day, we will have the evidence we need to show the jury, to show the public that UFOs do actually exist and that we are truly being visited by extraterrestials.

Movies at UA Laguna Village and a Look at Quetzalcoatl

I enjoy going to UA Laguna Village for three reasons. The movies, close location to my home and I am able to visit with Nick, the father to my god-daughter Nicole Mila Phangaroune who works there as a security guard. Now that I have furlough Fridays, thanks to Arnold, I am able to see more movies. Recently at the UA Laguna Village, I have seen:

He's Just Not That Into You. This movie is comical. Women see how men see things, when it comes to dating. The movie is more for a female audience, but it can be fun if the guys take their date to this movie. My rating: Three Ghosties.

Taken: Action packed. Girl is abducted by Albanians and will be used as a sex slave. Her father with extraordinary past government skills seeks out his daughter and causes mayhem for the bad guys! My rating: Four Ghosties.

The Uninvited: Definitely scary. A surprise ending that I didn't expect. My rating: Four Ghosties.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D: This movie is not scary at all. The 3-D effects are horrendous. Not once did I jump out of my seat. The 3-D glasses made my nose itch. My rating: 1 Ghostie.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop: Please, this is crap. The funniest parts are on the previews. Paul being clumsy is funny one time, but throughout the whole blamed movie? Enough is enough. My rating: 1 Ghostie.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: What a concept. Born old, grow young. A love story to boot. Well made movie that has historical highlights. Reminded me of Forrest Gump. My rating: 5 Ghosties.

Gran Torino: Surprise ending that made everyone cry. Clint Eastwood still has it! Glad I met Clint when he was in downtown Sacramento filming Pink Cadillac. The man is a superb actor and I laughed at his old school ways. My rating: 5 Ghosties.

Slumdog Millionaire: Great Bollywood movie! Very dramatic and kept me right on the edge-of-my seat. Please tell me why the one guy was harvesting children's eyeballs. There was never an explanation for that. Does anyone know? My rating: 4 Ghosties.

So, if you have a chance check out some of the movies that got 5 Ghosties..or even 4 Ghosties. Sure to be classics. Tonight, I will just relax and watch on DVD: Josh Brolin's W, the story of former president George W. Bush and a Sundance Classic: Scotland, PA.

Below is a look at the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl. When I went to Chichen Itza, Mexico with the Penn & Teller Show, I wanted to know more about Quetzalcoatl. The Mayans call him: Kukulcan.

When Shannon McCabe (President of HPI) and I, went to Chichen Itza, we were walking through history. A find that may have it's roots in East Asia, India, Crete and with an extraterrestrial alliance. Quetzalcoatl was described as a white god with pale skin and blue eyes. Quetzalcoatl and his away team all wore black coarse robes and traveled in foreign ships with swan wings. The hulls of the ships glowed so brightly, that it was hard to look upon by the Indians of these indigenous cultures. Quetzalcoatl was known by several names. The Toltecs and Aztecs refer him as Quetzalcoatl. The people of the Incas called him Viracocha. The Mayans called him Kukulcan. The Chibchas called him Bochica. The Aymara from Peru called him Hyustus. It appears that Quetzalcoatl must have had a fast flying vehicle that could take him from Mexico to Central America to South America. What kind of ship could transport a fair skinned god around the country like that?

Quetzalcoatl even became the fifth king of the Toltecs during AD 977 to 999. Even though he was a king of the Toltecs, he was busy visiting other tribes of Indians. He brought the Toltecs laws and science. He set down laws that there was to be no more killing of animals and that the Toltecs would feast off vegetables and fruits. There would also be no more human sacrifice. At some point of time, Quetzalcoatl was tempted by sin and fell into disgrace. The disgrace that he faced, brought him shame and he decided to leave in his ship. He promised all of the tribes that he will one day return.

Who was Quetzalcoatl and where did he actually come from? Examining the Mayan script, it is very similar to Cretan symbols and script. Could Quetzalcoatl came from Crete? If you look at the Maize god of Copan, you will notice that this sculpture has an East Asian and Mediterranean influence. It is also interesting to note that the Jaguar men of the Olmecs were good at working with jade, so were the Cretans.

Then things get a bit confusing, because the Warrior Temple at Chichen Itza with all of its columns and thousands of pillars is somewhat reminiscent of Egypt. Now we have an Egyptian influence. Shannon and I, remember walking in between these pillars and were amazed at the accuracy and precision they were built and how they were placed in alignment around the Mayan pyramid.

What is also interesting is that there is a reptilian influence. Representations of reptiles like serpents are seen with the cultures I mentioned above. The reptilian influence is saturated throughout Egypt, East Asian, India and the list goes on and on.

I believe the reptilian influence represents ancient astronauts that resembled reptiles. The reptile influence can even be found in our own bible as it was the serpent that influenced Eve to bite from the forbidden fruit. The lotus motif seen at the Mayan Jaguar Temple has an eerie resemblance to the water-lily ornament found at the temple town of Amaravati, which is located on the East coast of Southern India.
But, we talk about a white god. There are not too many people with fair complexions in India, Egypt or even Crete. But most of the gods that are described in ancient times have a fair complexion or are reptilian in nature. Looking at the ancient scripts of India, there is talk of Vimanas, flying machines that can take the gods from city to city, country to country and planet to planet. Yes, there are 3 type of Vimanas. The Vimanas that took the gods from city to city or country to country almost appear to be airplanes, while the Vimana that can take a god from planet to planet appears to be a starship.

Could it be that ancient astronauts back long ago were living amongst our advanced cultures like the Phoenicians, Egyptians and bringing their knowledge of science, math and astronomy to cultures like the Olmecs, Toltecs and Mayans?
As the pieces of the puzzle come together, it appears that Erich Anton Paul von Daniken may have been right all along.

Before I close this article, I will talk about an interview I did with Judy Hu. This is what I learned from Judy:

On February 10, 2009, Tuesday, I interviewed Judy Hu at Starbucks and she had some interesting stories to tell me. She told me for the longest time she was haunted by her deceased mother and father. Her mother would move her favorite chair all the time, while her father would open and close her bedroom door. When they finally went into the light, she had no more problems with hauntings from her deceased mother and father. Judy is from Taiwan and while in Taiwan she had a friend that knew a man that had to marry a female ghost. This man went to a home and took an item that the female ghost was attached to. The female ghost would aggravate the man on a daily basis, even after he returned the item. He went to a medium and the medium said that the only way he would be rid of the female ghost is to marry her. The man married the female ghost and the female ghost was pleased and went into the light. This marriage news found its way into the newspaper. Judy had one more paranormal experience, she once consulted a medium and the medium spoke in the voice of her deceased grandfather.

Off the Hook TV: A Night at the Sandbar

This is going to be one of the craziest nights I will ever witness, probably crazier than any night I experienced while in Brazil or Aruba for that matter. Tonight I am heading over to the Sandbar with my news photographers Chantal Apodaca and Mark Greer. The owner of the Sandbar is setting us up in the VIP Section.

Leatherface and The Executioner had their infamous masks on. Masks that remind you of movies like Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Friday the 13th, but a whole lot scarier. One girl next to me looked at Leatherface and when she looked at me, her face looked like an innocent doe caught in the crossfires of two big game hunters and sheepishly says…”now that’s scary”.

As the DJ plays T-Pain’s Bartender, everyone is going crazy on the dance floor, gyrating with body dance moves that have a strong R rating can be seen across the dance floor. I kept thinking…”am I at Springbreak in Cancun or something?”. Leatherface threw me into the female entertainer/dancers that yanked at my pony tail and gave me a night I won’t forget for a long time, as cameras flashed and video cameras were rolling! That was a harrowing ordeal, I am still having traumatic flashbacks of being engulfed by gorgeous women. I remember after the ordeal, I had to go back to the VIP section to recuperate. I just hope that I don’t have Post-Traumatic Syndrome after this experience. But, let me stop talking about this, the memories are too painful. Let’s talk about some of the people I interviewed.

It was time for me to do the interview process and one lady I interviewed was sitting in the VIP section and I asked her, how she is associated with Off-the-Hook TV or the Sandbar. Come to find out she had family connections in the Sandbar and I asked her if she always sits in the VIP section and she exclaimed…”that’s how I roll!” Here are comments from some of the patrons I interviewed, let’s roll:

Nick Edens: I am a regular her, Sandbar is awesome, can’t think of anywhere else I would want to be. Tonight is going to be good!

Kristi Emenck: I never seen Off-the-Hook before, but looking forward to their antics. I have been to Sandbar a few times and love it!

Amy Eaton: Sure, I used to watch Viva La Bam, I know who Off-the-Hook TV is. Also, now that you gave me your business card, I heard of your name. Don't you write things about UFOs and ghosts? I read ghost stories all the time! Is my name going to be in Fortean Times? I love that magazine!

Jennifer Gouge: I am a regular, my boyfriend does promotions for Sandbar. I love watching people act stupid and have fun. If I am not partying here, I love barbecuing with friends!

Matt Waters and Rob Hilarid: We love the Sandbar. First time we heard about the Dirty Twig Show and Off-the-Hook TV, but we are anticipating a good time.

Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe: Don't bother me, I am working this gig, don't you see me holding a video recorder? Geesh!

My assistant Chantal Apodoca is a great people hunter. She surveys the dance floor and pulls people out of the crowd to be interviewed. I thank my assistant for doing such a fine job!

I can see why everyone loves the Sandbar, the place is huge and has an outdoor patio. It has a big dance floor and a pretty nice crowd of party revelers. You probably want to know how I met up with a crazy crew like Off-the-Hook TV and the cast of The Dirty Twig Show. One day, I got a call on my cell and some guy calling himself ‘Face’ wanted to video my paranormal investigations. I looked up Off-the-Hook TV on the Internet and discovered they were involved with Viva La Bam, MTV, Jackass and were connected to LA Ink and ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). Sure, these guys have the credentials, they can roll with the ghosthunter/demon warrior. Face aka Leatherface is now a full fledged paranormal investigator and rolls with me on many of my investigations. Leatherface introduced me to the insanity of The Dirty Twig Show and I have been on the show a couple of times.

When the Gap Band bellows out the lyrics from their song Humpin’…”where are all the humpin’ people at? Humpin!” They need not look any further. They are at the Sandbar.

Strikes!

It's time to have some fun in Elk Grove and that fun is today! Today is February 6, 2009, Friday. There is a new bowling alley in Elk Grove and it's called Strikes Family Entertainment Center! Located at: 3443 Laguna Blvd. Everytime I drive by this bowling alley, the parking lot is filled with cars. Hmmm...what is all the fuss about? I think it's best I call my two news photographers and find out. Chantal Apodoca arrives at my home with camera in hand and says...."let's party!" We head over to Strikes and meet up with my other photographer Mark Greers. The band playing tonight is called Solsa. This band plays R&B classics and of course, they play Salsa music. The lead singer is incredible, her vocals bellow out through the whole club and before you know it everyone is on the floor dancing!

I have been to many nightclubs in the Sacramento area and when the doorman/security guard has to pat you down, you know something is wrong. At Strikes, the security is exceptional. You feel safe in this club. I look around a packed house and everyone is smiling, the dance floor is filled with dancers. The Elk Grove police make their presence known and when they come in, they have smiles on their faces and greet people. Elk Grove's Finest is there to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and assure the peace.

Another thing, I love about this club (Coach’s Bar and Grill) is there is no age prejudice. Anyone 21 and up is welcome in this nightclub and you find people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s all partying together and having a great time. This club almost reminded me of many bay area clubs where there is no age prejudice and anyone can walk in and just have a great time mingling and socializing with everyone. If you love sports, there are HUGE TV screens on the walls. You can watch all the sports action and almost feel like you are in the stadiums.

I had my photographers roam the club and take pictures of the festive crowd. I found two of my friends having a good time there, they were Isabel Naranjo and Rosie Carmona. Both Isabel and Rosie were enjoying the band and pulsating with the beat. This is a place that Elk Grove needed badly, a place where people can enjoy a festive atmosphere and be around other people for great social conversations. Like I said, the security is great and they place arm bands around your wrist indicating that you are in the legal age limit to drink alcohol. The kids have their own section in this bowling alley where they can also listen to music and dance and of course there is bowling!

If you live in the Elk Grove area or anywhere in Sacramento County, you might want to check out Strikes for some great entertainment, food and dancing! I didn't talk about the food, but there is a variety of great dishes to choose from. On this night, Chantal and I munched down on hotwings, chicken strips, chips and salsa! Yep, it's party time in Elk Grove....like Black Eyed Peas says..."Let's Get it Started!"

The Superbowl Party

Everyone loves Superbowl Sunday. It's a time for people to gather and cheer for their favorite teams. It's a time for competition, conversation and exhilarating excitement. To be honest with you, I don't watch too much football since my son Jason moved out of the house and lives in Texas. Since I am a freelance writer of paranormal articles and a paranormal investigator, my time is limited in front of a television. Jason an avid sports fan, who now works for a Texas newspaper as a sports journalist does keep me informed about the games. Even though Jason now lives in Texas, I will still participate in watching the Super Bowl.

Well, this is Super Bowl XLIII. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

As I wait for Chantal Apodaco and Rita Reyes to arrive to my house, I turn on the pre-game interviews. The interview is with Larry Fitzgerald. An interview that is candid, smooth, honest and emotional. He talks about how much he loves his mother that passed away from breast cancer. I was able to relate to his pain and sadness for this loss. He wished he had seen his mother before she passed on. I can't imagine what that would have been like, but I went through something similar. I was there to see my mother before she passed on. I was at her bedside. I told my mother, that I had to take care of some errands and that I would be right back. My mother nodded 'yes'. When I finished my errands and came back to her room, her bed was made and her room was cleaned up. My mother was not in her hospital bed. I thought she was being tested somewhere or perhaps they moved her into another room. I asked the nurse, where my mother was, because her bed was made, as if she never slept on it. The nurse asked if my mother's name was Rosemarie Roberts. I said 'yes'. The nurse tells me that during the time I was doing errands, she had passed away. I couldn't believe it, because I only was gone for a couple of hours! Even though this was very traumatic with me, I was glad that I was there to see her before she passed on. Larry must keep his mother's legacy alive and he proved that tonight as he took a clean shot through the middle of the field holding the football. Larry's mother would have been proud!

Chantal, Rita and I, headed over to Danielle Graham's home. A beautiful home with many people watching the Super Bowl. The cheers, the sighs of disappointment could be heard. Conversations were taking place everywhere. Bellowing laughter became apparent when the commercials played. Chantal, Rita and I, joined Lui Saelee and Malena Harvey as they both saved us seats to watch the game.

I brought over an apple pie and there was tons of food and drinks all around. Hotwings, hotlinks, hotdogs, ribs, macaroni salad, tossed salad, cut-up sausages, fried chicken, sodas, adult beverages, fruit and other assorted goodies. During a Superbowl party, you will never starve.

The party was festive and fun. There was a bonding amongst strangers. Differences were placed to the side, unless you supported the opposite team. Hugs are given showing comradry. Superbowl Sunday is definitely a time for people to come together and show their love. During this moment of time, people are not thinking about the war in Iraq, the economy, global warming and the other negativity's of the world. They have come together to enjoy the company of others. A fulfilling bonding of human support. Super Bowl Sunday is a good day for all humanity. Bruce Springsteen showed that positive force during half time. As I looked around the crowd, everyone was flowing to the music of Springsteen. Yes, everyone has forgotten their every day worries and were enjoying this beautiful day in front of a wide screen TV rooting for their favorite team. Ahhh...yes, we need more positive days like this.

Trouble in China: Vampires & Ghosts

Case # 0352093834. But, with this case, I need to do a follow-up, so henceforth the case number. Only the cases that I need to look back upon with a follow-up, get case numbers and this is one of them. The date is January 31, 2009, Saturday. This morning I get an urgent call from a mid twenties Asian girl that calls herself Sonye. Sonye is a science major at UC Davis and a foreign exchange student. She was born and raised in Shang-hai. Before, I talk about Sonye, let me tell you how my Friday went.

This has been a busy weekend, Gina De La Rosa (HPI Scout), met with me at Fanny Anns in Old Sacramento on Friday, where I tried to do some EVP work, then she showed me another haunted location in Old Sacramento, a nightclub called 2nd Grand Saloon - 200 K Street. My EVP work was unsuccessful this night, due to all of the human traffic in and around these areas. Izus Lohcins, a patron outside of 2nd Grand Saloon tells me that I need to check the place out late at night. Because around 4am, there are sounds of dancing and laughter. The sounds of a possible residual haunting. I left Old Sacramento and headed over to Strikes (a new bowling alley) in Elk Grove to go over my recordings using Audacity on my laptop. I found a quiet spot in the lounge to try and analyse any strange phenomenon that I may have recorded. No such luck. Friday was a disappointing night for ghosthunting.

Now that it is Saturday, I am hoping my urgent call will be something of interest. I meet with Sonye at Starbucks in Davis. Before Sonye begins the interview, she asks to talk with Valerie Rankin. She has heard about Valerie in my articles. I call Valerie and Valerie gives Sonye a reading over the phone. Sonye comes back after the phone conversation and begins her story. She tells me about the paranormal con artists of China. She tells me that on the streets of Shang-hai there are many people that claim to be psychics and can channel the deceased into their bodies. This allows the deceased to talk through their bodies. They of course have an expensive fee for the person that wants to talk to their deceased grandmother. Another paranormal con artist is the fortune teller that uses an assortment of coins to predict your future. Another fee is charged to the misfortunate and misinformed.

Besides the paranormal con-artists, I now wanted to know what was troubling this young lady. She tells me that her uncle is haunted by the Kuei. The Kuei are ghosts in China that have either died a violent death or committed suicide. These type of ghosts are evil. Her uncle encountered a Kuei one day in his apartment. The candle that was lit on his desk started burning green, this is a strong indication that the Kuei are nearby. He looked in the bedroom mirror and saw an apparition with a red hankerchief over it's face. After encountering this entity, her uncle had 3 years of misfortune fall upon him.

Another incident that happened in her family is when a Chiang-Shih (Chinese Vampire) attacked her young female first cousin. She tells me that a Chiang-Shih is usually a violent vampire that died a violent death during the commission of a crime. Her cousin one night was walking down an alley and a hopping corpse chased her down the alley. I asked Sonye why does this vampire hop? She tells me that a newly dead vampire is set in rigor mortis, so therefore it hops, because it cannot move it's limbs properly. Later on as a vampire, it will become more agile. She tells me that this type of vampire has a strong blood lust and is seen with large talons and fangs. It has such fetid breath. The breath of this vampire is so ghastly, it can make you pass out. To avoid this kind of vampire, she has learned that if you hold your breath, it may walk right past you, because it seeks out its victims by smelling the victim's breath. She goes on to tell me that the vampire that was following her cousin was attacked by this vampire. The attack was sexual.

The reason Sonye wanted to meet with me is to find out the results of my investigation in San Francisco, when I interviewed vampires. She wanted to know if I believe in ghosts and vampires and she wanted to know my encounters with ghosts and vampires. I told her that the vampires I interviewed in San Francisco believe they are vampires and it may all be a mental delusion that they are having. I truly did not think they are real vampires. Do I actually believe in real vampires? Perhaps, but I have never encountered one. Are there ghosts? From my experience as a paranormal investigator, I would have to say that there appears to be life after death. I have encountered many ghostly activities since I have been a paranormal investigator.

After I fully explained my answers to Sonye and told her about some of my paranormal adventures, she felt satisfied knowing that perhaps her uncle and cousin did encounter something truly paranormal and that they are not losing their minds.

After my meeting with Sonye and as I walked alone into the Davis twilight night, I thought I glimpsed a pale young man. Someone yelled...Edward...Edward Cullen! I thought to myself, this couldn't be THE Edward Anthony Mason Cullen, bio: DOB: June 20, 1901. Status: Vampire. Date of Transformation: 1918. Special Abilities: Ming Reading, Super-Speed and Extraordinary Strength. Nah...just my mind playing tricks on me. I've been watching too many movies.

The Martinez Home Haunting Investigation 22nd & H Street

The article below was written in 2007. After this article was published, the owner of the house on 22nd and H Street contacted me. He claims that his home is NOT haunted. He also makes claim that there was NEVER any Martinez family that lived in this home and where that name came from is beyond him. He believes that the urban legend of his home being haunted was started by his sister and it grew out of proportion and became the urban legend that it is now. Paul Dale Roberts. - Now to the story that I wrote in 2007:

I think before I talking about our haunting investigation, I want to talk about a few other things to get this article started. First off, before I became HPI's ghost writer, I was merely a freelance writer that wrote about anything under the sun. I wrote travel articles, political articles - especially after 9/11, lots of comic book articles and comic book reviews. In fact I had my own monthly column in Vamperotica Magazine by Brainstorm Comics and Just Comics and More - The Caribbean's Only Monthly Comic Magazine! Yes! I am also in the comic book business. I promote aspiring writers and artists who are trying to break into comic books and animation. I do reviews of comics and ever once in a while I will find a quote of mine plastered on some comic book someplace. I also interview many comic book creators and artists from Boris Vallejo to Joe Quesada, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics! You can find all my comic book stuff right at my website Jazma Online! at www.jazmaonline.com Comic books cover all genres, from sci fi to fantasy to horror to drama to real life relationships. Many comic books have become movies from Sin City, Road to Perdition, Men in Black, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Ghostworld, Hellboy and the list goes on and on. Now to other things, I was a guest 4 times on Sonoma's Wine, Spirits and Song Paranormal Radio Show, in which I discussed my involvement with the US Army's Military Intelligence and the Intelligence connection to UFOs. We also talked about ghosts. Carla Heine, the host of the show said that Sonoma is the most haunted city in Northern California. I now have to disagree with her, I think every city in the world is haunted, you just need to look for haunted locations. You will find out they are easy to find. Sacramento has a lot of notorious history. When I lived on W Street in Sacramento in the 70s, so was Patty Hearst and some of the SLA. Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme was trying to kill former President Gerald Ford in Sacramento. This type of criminal activity does not leave ghost traces, because no one died. But, other notorious criminal activity in Sacramento may leave ghost traces, such as the infamous cases of Charlene & Gerald Gallegos, The I-5 Killer, Dorothea Puente and Richard Trenton Chase aka The Vampire of Sacramento. These horrifying episodes in Sacramento history may leave residual haunting activity, where a murderous act may play out over and over again. The victims to these crimes may not be at rest, because their lives were taken early in life and they may have some unfinished business to attend to. These are areas of interest for HPI. These are areas we will investigate and other areas of Northern California. We will never run out of cases.

It seems that everyone I talk to has a paranormal story, either they have seen a ghost, saw a UFO, came across a shadow person, etc. Even as I was talking with my own dad, he claims that when my mom passed away, it was only a few days later, he saw her glide down the hallway into the bedroom of his Greenhaven home. He was making repairs in the bathroom and a cold chill came over him. He never experienced anything else paranormal again, but he will never forget that image.

I used to live in Monterey and one of the urban legend ghost stories that I will never forget is that during the 60s, a soldier out of Ft. Ord, California was hitchhiking off base to see his family during Thanksgiving. Two ladies in a convertible picked him up. The girls in the car were drinking, playing their music up loud, some people say they were listening to In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly when the car pulled up to pick up the soldier. The girls were having fun with the soldier in the car while driving and took him to Carmel Valley. They pulled the car over and began seducing the soldier and persuaded the soldier to allow them to tie him to a tree. When the soldier obliged, he found himself partially nude, tied to a tree. One of the girls pulled out some LSD, the three of them all took the hallucinogenic drug. At some point of time one of the girls pulls out a very thin glass tube and inserts the tube into the soldier's private area. When the tube was fully inserted, she breaks it off in the middle. The girls drive off and leave the soldier bleeding to death tied up to the tree. It is said that people driving down a lonely stretch of road in Carmel Valley see the ghostly image of the soldier bleeding from his groin area. So, you see stories about ghosts are everywhere and if a tragic event like this did occur, there was enough negative energy blasted into the atmosphere to leave a good residual haunting for that area in Carmel Valley.

Sometimes I have a tendency to ramble on, so let's get to the investigation this evening. The date is July 17, 2007, Tuesday. First off, we had a meeting at the Sierra 2 Center in Room 11. Alicia Perry demonstrated to the HPI Paranormal Investigators on how to eliminate background noise using a program called Audacity, when searching for EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). I introduced a guest that I worked with on a few paranormal investigations, her name is Janet Michalk. She is a certified hypnotherapist and intuitive. For more information on Janet's work, she can be reached at: intouchhypnotherapy@yahoo.com and intouchhypnotherapy.com. She is a paranormal investigator with In Touch Paranormal Investigations. After our meeting we investigated the infamous Martinez Home on 22nd and H Street.

The paranormal investigators that attended this investigation after the meeting were: Shannon McCabe, Tim Hawkins, John Wachter aka Vlawde, Michelle Paykel, Michele Stump, Chris Grissom, Jennifer 'The Jen Girl" Baca, Lisa Holt and her nephew Jessie Ibarra, Mary Casiano, Alicia Perry, Brian Colbert, Paul Dale Roberts, Lou Paman & Dee Pizarro. Lou Paman and Dee Pizarro were also my guests and this was their very first paranormal investigation. Lou & Dee are part of a band called Taal and I saw them both play last Friday at the Stockmarket Grill off Folsom Blvd. Both are great musicians and with the enthusiasm I saw in both of them tonight, I believe they will make very good investigators.

Let me describe this house. The house looks like the Munsters or Addam's Family's home. I kid you not. There are gargoyles in front of the home. The house is an actual mansion, that is over 100 years old. The house is abandoned. The house is located at 2131 H Street, corner of 22nd. There are huge palm trees in front of the house. Lisa Holt's nephew, Jessie, an intuitive or what you may call a sensitive, sensed a entity crossing one of the upstair rooms in front of the window, and he and Alicia suggested to John that he take a picture. And he got an amazing bright white orb that shows motion. The house is absolutely spooky to behold.

Alicia Perry and Mary Casiano did a scouting investigation of the home on their own, and when they got back in their truck they smelled a man's cologne. Figuring they were being followed by an entity, Alicia proceeded to tell their "guest" to leave. Fortunately they were doing an audio recording at the time, because they picked up an EVP that says, "I'll git." At least the ghost was a gentleman!

As digital cameras flashed away, gorgeous orbs were taken around the house. (already mentioned above) Vlawde takes a picture that almost looks like an orb coming out of the window. Jennifer Baca takes a picture of the window and it appears that an apparation is peering out of the window.

The neighbors of this abandoned home came over to see what we were doing and here are some of the stories they told:

That Dr. Aden Hart and his family lived in this home. There has been some deaths in the house. That at one time, one of the tenants of this home, would take his wife to the cellar and torture her, she eventually died in the house. One story goes that a man went berserk and killed his whole family in the house. None of these stories can be substantiated. The stories are all urban myth. The Martinez family lived there and they were the last occupants of the house, before it became abandoned. Now below are some possible facts:

Fact from a researcher of the Martinez House:
"The occupants in 1907 were Dr. Arden C. Hart and Alice Hart. Arden founded Sutter Hospital. They lived in that wonderful house until around 1950. I do not know if one or the other died there. The house was then sold to (last name not disclosed). One of the pair's sons inherited the house. I assume he grew up there. That is when, 1976, it was vacated. In 2000 the grandson lived there very briefly. He was scared away."

Information from a neighbor:
"One day, I was lounging about on our front porch. I saw the owner's son run out of the house, and then back in. That afternoon he had packed up and moved out.

In a later conversation, the lad told me this. "I was upstairs. I had the radio going on in the kitchen. I was alarmed, when the radio began changing stations. I went down to see who was doing it. There was no-one. I went back upstairs. The radio once again began changing channels. I ran down this time, no-one again. I ran outside and around the house. There was nobody in sight. That is when I decided to move out. It was the last straw."

Other Information Gathered On the Martinez Home:
Some claim that there was never any Martinez family that resided there. The Martinez family story could be another urban myth. It is said that the Amaruso(s) bought the home in the 50s and still own it. Paranormal investigator Brian Colbert received 3 EVPs and HPI is in the process of analyzing the EVPs that he picked up this night. Some of the investigators smelled cologne or smoke that emanuated from the house. At one point of time, I smelled cologne that came and went. Alicia Perry and Mary Casiano also smelled cologne on their separate scouting mission to this home, before this initial investigation.

Paranormal Investigator Brian Colbert dug up this information:

"The trouble seems to have started three weeks after Mrs. Lillian Martinez and her family moved into the remodeled house in 1973. Sounds of crashing glassware and noises of a struggle in the kitchen started late at night, but nothing was there.
Then 15-year-old Angie began seeing a gray and white cat fade in and out of reality. Upstairs, a "panting presence" started following people around and later materialized as the ghost of an Oriental man wearing a white coat.
The ghost of a woman wearing a yellow flower-print dress was also seen by Lilly Monica, Tyrone, and Diana Martinez. Husband Julio reported the ghosts of two children hiding in doorways. Rumors of a family murder in the house have never been confirmed, but other tenants down through the years reported similar activity. (The house is now a private residence near 22nd and H Street in Midtown Sacramento.)
Background research-
I've had several people tell me the story behind the house is that the original builders and owners of the house were a prominent & historical family of both Sacramento & California in general. The patriarch of the family, apparently suffering from an unknown mental disorder (dementia?) murdered his grandchildren, the house servants, and family pet.
Searching in the Sacramento historical archives, I have uncovered some information that lends some credence to this legend. Moving backwards through the owners, I found the original owners: the Hart Family. The original owner of the house is listed as one "A C Hart". Cross referencing through the Sacramento Directories, the full name is Aden (or Aben, but I believe this is a typo) C Hart, physician.

HPI Chronicles: West Roseville: Why is this Area So Haunted?

Date: January 22, 2009, Thursday. I am still on vacation, after my trip to Aruba and Venezuela. I am taking a vacation from the vacation, getting rested up, I have until the end of this week and then I go back to work on Monday. When I am at home for my vacation, I love sleeping in. But, today is an exception, I am up early and its 9:30am and I am here sitting at a Starbucks waiting for my client TJ. TJ lives in a new home in West Roseville and her home is haunted.

I am preparing the interview process and will be asking TJ a series of questions. TJ has just walked in. With soft brown eyes, she gently extends her hand to shake my hand. TJ has an interesting story to relate to me. She tells me that her home was built in 2005. There are rumors that pagan rituals have taken place on the property area, where TJ's home was built at. When TJ moved into her home, she got sick instantly, she felt like her life energy was sucked out of her. In one incident as she pulled up into her driveway she has felt like her head was in a vice and she has had some extreme headaches. She has had several various attacks, in which she feels ill.

Some of the activity that she has witnessed in this home are: a) vision of a little girl with golden blonde hair hanging by her neck from the ceiling, b) watching a girl with long silky brunette hair either 14 to 20 years of age walking up the stairs, she was unable to see her face, c) seeing a full body apparition that appeared to look like the Ice Witch of Narnia, that appeared to be watching TJ and her children, d) 3 shadowy entities in the shape of humans moving while attached to the walls, e) hearing footsteps and objects being moved around by unseen forces, f) when first moving into the home, TJ found rocks set in formation in odd ways, like peculiar lines or in circles, g) some homes near her home have experienced unnatural phenomenon indicating that other homes in the area may be haunted.

Date: January 23, 2009, Friday: Friday night is here and the investigation is ready to commence. Paranormal Investigators present: Robbie Thomas, Kathy & Tom, David Mace, Mandy Lewis, Tammy Straling, Chantal Apodaco, Rita Reyes, Annie Rolls and Valerie Rankin.

Equipment and Other Essentials Used: Digital cameras, digital audio recorders, dowsing rods, holy water, prayer beads, video camera, temperature gauges, EMF Readers.

Two teams are created with Tom and David Mace leading each team in the areas that they are assigned to. The home is a large two-story home and one team would take the 2nd floor level, while the other team would cover the first floor. 45 minutes would be the duration for each team to conduct their investigation in the areas that they would be covering. After 45 minutes, we would go over the collected evidence and have a short 15 minute meeting, before each team would trade investigative areas and go for the 2nd phase of the investigation.

Experiences Felt by Investigators:
Some investigators felt a heaviness on their chests. Some investigators felt a heaviness in the air as they entered one of the closets. One investigator felt depression or sadness. Three investigators smelled something foul, almost like stale vinegar. The smell comes and gos. The smell would last maybe a half a minute. Tom felt a headache as he entered the laundry room. He felt a shooting pain around his temple areas, later he would feel lightheaded. Investigator thought she saw a dewy mist go past her. At one point of time, I thought I saw a white fleeting figure by a 2nd floor window, it could have been my mind playing tricks. Robbie felt a brushing warmth that went across her face and later she thought she saw a quick moving shadow.

FINDINGS:
Investigator gets what sounds like the word 'dodgers' EVP. The EVP sounded like a man. The word sounded like 'dodgers' or 'dodge her'. Another EVP was what sounded like 'Moslo' when the question was asked: 'Is Anyone Here?' Moslo could have been a 'Must Go'. Tammy Straling received EVP that sounds like a woman sighing. Kathy takes a picture in the back room on the first floor that looked like a twisting tornado with a bright light at the base of the tornado. Could this photograph be of a vortex/portal? All EVPs and Kathy's vortex photo need to be further analyzed. Robbie takes a picture with a black shadow moving across the ceiling. Her 2nd photo shows no shadow moving across ceiling. I had Tom take Robbie back into the same area to try and recreate the photo and the photo could not be recreated.

CONCLUSION:
With the possible EVPs and the unusual vortex photo. This place seems to have possible paranormal activity.

Many homes in this area make claim to hauntings. The homes are fairly new, such as this home. It is possible that the land is haunted? A rock quarry near this home was once a place for Irish miners during the 1800s. Some of these Irish miners were rumored to practice Pagan rituals that they brought with them from the old country. TJ showed us strange burn marks on her patio seat covers. She does not know why these patio seat covers have burn marks on them. TJ discussed how she may have been hexed once in her life by a person from Louisiana. The hex, also known as a mojo or evil eye could be the possible source for the haunting activity in this home. Valerie did a cleansing on TJ using an egg. This type of cleansing allows the egg to gather any supernatural energy that surrounds TJ's body. I did a Catholic blessing of the home that included a hedge of protection prayer around TJ and later dispelling any entities in this home by the use of my prayer beads and holy water. The 4-Winds prayers were conducted in the backyard and front yard. When I touched the forehead of TJ with holy water, she felt her stress leave her body.

I will be checking up on TJ and if the activity does continue, a further investigation will be warranted and other type of cleansings/blessings will also be conducted to dispel the entities from her home.

Penn & Teller invite Shannon McCabe and Paul Dale Roberts to the “Bullshit” of 2012!
It’s Columbus Day as I sit down to write this article. The funny thing about it is, as Columbus was a discoverer so am I. My writing partner Paul Dale Roberts and I were just called by the Showtime Network, and they have asked us to go down to Cancun Mexico with them for the Penn & Teller, “Bullshit” show. They want us to discover the mystery of 2012. Now, if you have ever seen the Penn & Teller “Bullshit” show, you know that they will be ripping us a new one on just about everything we “discover”. Bring it on I say! Let me tell you a little about the Maya people and their calendar that ends on December 21st, 2012.
The Mayans were a very intelligent society that excelled in Mathematics and Astronomy. They were also very prolific writers. The Mayans were so well versed in Astronomy that they predicted that the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way, would come into alignment with our Sun possibly causing a huge Axis shift that could send us into catastrophe. They predicted this to happen in 2012.
On a metaphysical level, some think that 2012 will bring our planet to a higher spiritual transformation.
If you ever listen to Riley Martin on Sirius Station, Howard 101, he claims that in 2012 the world will come into a spiritual transformation, and that the Biaviian (pron. Be-Ah-Vi-An) aliens will actually come down out of the sky and let us on to their Mother Ship.
On a more scientific level some believe that 2012 could end in an apocalypse and the end of our modern world as we know it.
My question is what should humankind expect on Dec. 21, 2012, when the Maya's "Long Count" calendar marks the end of a 5,126-year era? Did they just run out of rock to carve and trees for their paper? God only knows…

In the late 18th Century explorers discovered pyramids, monoliths, temples, and plazas all deep in the Guatemalan Rainforest decorated in carved pictures and hieroglyphs. The ancient Mayans had been keeping very good records of their civilization through these carvings which brings me to the wonderful man named, Diego De Landa.

De Landa was a Spanish priest, and in July 1562 he found carvings of what he found to be the “Devil’s work”. These carvings were of human sacrifice. He was so self- righteous that he had 5000 Mayan Idols demolished, along with all but three of their papyrus books. This is probably why we don’t know much of the Mayan civilization today. Luckily the temples and pyramids were made of stone and were not easily destroyed and we can still visit them today.

On a good note, De Landa did not destroy one very important book, the Relación de las cosas de Yucatán (1566). It was reprinted in 1864 and gave us a phonetically accurate look at the Mayan Hieroglyphs. Another book that was very significant was the Dresden Codex. The Dresden Codex was named after the city it was found in.

In 1880 a German scholar named Ernest Forstemann cracked the code of the Mayan hieroglyphs so that many of the carvings on the existing pyramids could be translated into what we now know as the Mayan Calendar.

As I mentioned earlier, the Mayan Calendar is called a “Long Count” calendar. It spans over 5000 years and happens to end at December 21st, 2012. There are many ways to look at this: One, The end of our modern civilization as we know it. Two, the beginning of a spiritual awakening where the world will be peaceful and serene. Three, Nothing will happen and the world will go on just like it did on January 1st, 2000. Remember Y2K? Funny wasn’t it?

There are many unsolved mysteries to this Mayan Calendar and the 2012 mystery. And I, Shannon McCabe, plan on finding out just what they are… Stay tuned, in the next month when I return from Chichen Itza I will recount everything I saw, felt, heard, and experienced at the Mayan Ruins. In fact, Showtime has gotten me a really cool HD, infrared camera to record a digital diary of the trip. I will also be bringing all my other equipment so that I can possibly capture some EVP’s and maybe even some UFO activity, remember the “Mother Ship” that Riley Martin talks of? And although Penn & Teller are probably going to rip me to shreds for my findings, I welcome them with open arms. I have been a very big fan of their skeptical humor, and those who know me, know I am a skeptic myself. I am sure as Bullshit that they will make me look like a complete idiot and I am lovin’ it! The Dire Circumstances of Dyer Lane: Urban Legend or Truth

Below is an investigation we did on May 27, 2007, Sunday. Many people in the Sacramento Area think that Dyer Lane is haunted. This is what we found:

Today is May 27, 2007, Sunday - Memorial Day weekend. The time for barbecues and family get togethers. If my life was normal perhaps I would be doing these things. I guess it's somewhat normal, I did attend a wedding in Lockeford Springs on Saturday and I had a guest coming in from Stockton, that stayed with me until Sunday. That is when the normalcy of my life fades, because this Sunday night I was doing a paranormal investigation at Dyer Lane in Elverta, California with H.P.I. (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations of Northern California). My friend from Stockton left Sunday afternoon and I started getting things ready for this investigation. Hmmm...I guess it's pretty simple, all I need is my digital camera, pen and notepad. The tools of the trade for a ghost writer. Since, I got ready so quickly, I decided to prepare for this ghost hunt by reading a good paranormal comic book, which is called O.C.T. (Occult Crimes Task force) #4 by Image. Since I started freelance writing, by reviewing comic books, many comic books have used my quotes. I love to get a feel for the paranormal comic books out on the market today, such as B.P.R.D. (Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense) by Dark Horse Comics. They are just so much fun to read before a true ghost hunt! If the reader of this article doesn't know it already, H.P.I. is coming out with their own comic book. A comic book in which I wrote the script. H.P.I. is sent by the C.I.A. to Transylvania to deal with none other than Dracula and his breathren, they are terrorizing Romania. So, look out for this comic book when it comes out, the artwork is being done by famous Haunted America Tours artist extraordinaire Ricardo Pustanio! He is also the art director for the "Krewe of Mid City" that makes floats for the New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade.

Anyway, back to this ghost hunt. I head up I-5 North towards Redding, playing Men in Black by Will Smith. The only paranormal song to psyche me up that I could find in my CD collection. At 9pm, I meet up with HPI paranormal investigators at Taco Bell on Elverta and Watt. Shannon gives us a briefing and checks to see what equipment we are utilizing for this investigation. While she was doing this I was looking at the #2 Special on the Taco Bell screen.

Before I went on this investigation, I got a call from my cousin Patricia Boyd in Texas. Patricia was telling me that when she lived in Sacramento that she had to travel down the famous Dyer Lane one time to get to her friend's house. She saw a man walking down the road by himself. The man was wearing an Army jacket and looked haggard, his appearance frightened her. She looked in her back rear view mirror and the figure of the man walking down the road was no longer there. When I arrived to Taco Bell, I encountered two new investigators Nick & Christie Martisko. I asked them how did they get interested in the paranormal, here is their story.... Christie says that when she lived in Dundee, Oregon, the house that she lived in had many paranormal disturbances, such as a mirror that hovered above her and slid through the air until it finally settled down. She goes on to say that the lights would become brighter, or dim down to a lower level of lighting on their own accord. Her husband Nick when living in Hillsboro, Oregon, outside of Portland lived in a home in which he saw a shadow move across the hallway and his wife Christie said he was as pale as a ghost. Nick and Christie now seek out answers by becoming paranormal investigators for H.P.I. I can see why.

The time for the investigation was about to begin. We all had to caravan to the location about 1/2 mile away. I went with Cherie Vincent and Jennifer Baca. Cherie was driving her suped up muscle car that vibrated on every bump on the road. It was an experience to ride in the backseat of this maverick vehicle with Cherie in control. Cherie zips around corners as if she is an experienced Nascar driver.

The reader of this article is probably wondering how this investigation came about. Here's how it started. Tim Hawkins, Secretary and lead investigator for H.P.I., interviewed a young man a few weeks ago who had this to say..."My friend and I both heard the name "Ellen",and then we both saw an apparition by the side of the road." The road he is referring to is Dyer Lane.

The original email to Tim Hawkins said: "One month ago my friend and I accidentally passed the turn off to his house and went a mile and half out of our way. the intersection we passed was antelope and P.F.E. road which is located in antelope CA.(very close to Elverta,CA) I began to look for a place to turn around (still on Antelope) I saw a street sign which read "Dyer Lane". I thought to myself "what a creepy name" I began to turn onto the street just enough so I could back out on to the country road and do a three point turn, when my friend Kaleb began to freak out on me. He told me not to go there!! He said the street was haunted. Naturally, I then had to travel down it.... We decided to come back that night. We experienced several strange happenings. voices, random temperature changes things had been moved between the night and day travels. All of these things are logically explained but the feeling one gets when traveling down this road can only be explained as other worldly. "

Tim Hawkins did some more research and took this off of Wikimapia.com : "Dyer Lane can be accessed from Watt Avenue, between Center High School and where Watt ends in Antelope. Dyer Lane leads directly into Tan Woods Road, and then into Kasser Road. These roads are supposedly haunted. Whether they are actually haunted or not, they are still pretty creepy. Large trash such as old couches and refrigerator boxes litter the sides of the roads, while the roads themselves are often covered in chalk graffiti including satanic messages, racist hate speech, and outlines of bodies. Most of this can be seen on Tan Woods Road. Probably the creepiest thing about these roads is that they don't seem to actually lead anywhere. Kasser Road just ends at 16th Street in Elverta. The two roads off of Dyer Lane, labeled here as "driveways," are gated off, and appear to lead to abandoned houses out in the middle of the field. Outside of those, and a few houses along Kasser Road, there does not seem to be any apparent purpose for these roads. I can't for the life of me think of why anybody living on Kasser Road would want to take Dyer Lane to get home. In the mid-80's Bill Mullen, a Rio Linda High School student, was killed on Dyer Lane in a racially charged gang fight. Rumor has it that if you come here at night, park your vehicle at the corner where Tan Woods Road turns into Kasser Road, turn off the ignition and the lights, your car will not start again. The person who told me this rumor claimed to know from personal experience."
H.P.I.'s members all tried this experiment, and we all were able to start our vehicles. One member lost her keys, but after we found them..no problems.

Tim and Shannon brief the H.P.I. investigators and tell them according to folklore, in the 1930s and 40s the K.K.K. (Ku Klux Klan) would hold secret meetings in this area. And that there was once a cop killed on this stretch of road. Some people think they see that ghostly cop in his ghostly police car, thundering down the road with his lights on. As the ghost police car gets closer, it dissipates into thin air. Yep, this is a good urban legend! H.P.I .tonight will determine if this is only an urban legend, or is there some foundation of truth to the stories. As Cherie drove down this very dark unlit street, I noticed a sign that read: "Subject to Death". Death was in the shape of a dog skull that Cherie later found that night. The teams broke up into 3 parts, of course Shannon, Tim and I, floated around to the different teams to see what their finds were and teach some of the newbies. All 3 teams had walkie talkies, so each team knew where the other teams were at all times. Jimmy and Suzy captured brilliant orbs on their digital photos and are enthusiastic to show their findings. Jennifer and I were walking down the street and we felt something following us. Was it a ghost? No, it was a lost cat that was constantly meowing. The cat actually followed us everywhere we went and before we knew it we actually had a large herd of cows following us. I felt like Doctor Doolittle. Could it be that these animals were following Jennifer and I because of the smell of my musk cologne or could they smell the enchilada I ate earlier? Whatever it was we definitely had cows and one lost cat following us. While Jennifer and I were having this adventure, there was a team that consisted of Bruce Farrington, Lisa Holt, Emily McCarthy and Anne Temple that began hearing contemporary rock music. It was playing from a source that no one could figure out. As they sought out the music, they found nothing and the music faded away.... Lisa captures a moving orb on her video camera. A sweet smell emanating from the trees hits this teams smelling senses and as fast as the smell came, it also resides into nothingness. Emily feels compelled to walk towards a certain tree and she feels her hand twitching. She becomes apprehensive to go any further towards the tree and in her mind the name "Margie" comes into focus. Could Emily have a sixth sense? I ask her and she is unsure if she is a sensitive, she can only tell me what she felt.
As this investigation came to a close, Cherie Vincent pulls out her Ouija Board in puts it on the trunk of her car. With Nick Martisko and Shannon McCabe, she tries to entice a spirit to make it's presence known. The Ouija Board relates a 60 year old man with the initials BF is trying to communicate with them. All of the investigators have their fingers so light on the planchette that their fingers shake. Bruce Farrington comes up to me and says...'hey, B.F., that's my initials!' Jimmy Campbell produces a EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recording where a spiritual voice says 'whoo hoo' or something to that effect. We'll have to analyze it further to see if it is truely something or an Owl. Needless to say, it was a fun filled night and as the investigation came to a close, there was good news for the lost cat. He now has a name, Anne Temple gives him the name of "Rascal" and is taking him home! Rascal will now have a home to live in free from starvation and fleas... Yeah for Rascal! Is anyone taking home those crazy cows?

there in car wreck, well, so the story goes.
I told Chief (name undisclosed) about the road used for cornering practice and he went down it once and didn't like it at all. He will not ride there anymore. Jess and I went on this road at midnight, on Halloween, that's when I heard the ghosts are active and we didn't see a thing. I have gone down there many times at night on
purpose and haven't seen a thing. But it's uncanny how the farmer whose land exits to Dyer can get his tractor to move so quickly and cut off motorcyclists moving at high speeds. He did it to me so many times I started to expect him to do it
and he seems to just drive down the road really going nowhere come back
a few minutes later and there will be no trace of him or the tractor. I
have made a high speed rung down the road passed him and got to the other
end turned around and rode the full length of the road and there will be
no sign of him anywhere along the full length of the road and this was in
broad daylight. It wasn't funny the first time he pulled out on me I was doing about 80 on that little yellow Suzuki and I almost ran into him after the second time. It seemed like an actual tractor it blew dust around and was noisier than hell but next trip back was in less than a couple minutes there was no sign of him and he moved real slow except getting out into the roadway."

"They (Renee's family) all reported having really creepy feelings, hearing strange things, and funny things happening to their car radios. One niece actually saw 'people', although she rarely talks about it anymore, (it scares her) she has seen the same little girl (ghost) every time she's gone out there - strange????"

"I don't know much about Dyer Lane, but your story brought back memories of when I was in Washington state. I was 12 years old and lived in a haunted house. The ghost(s) were most likely in the upstairs room. The ghost(s) would affect my mother, one night her eyes were glazed and she just went into a staring mode, then she hissed like a cat. It was so weird. Some of the family members remember being touched or tapped by an unseen entity. We would hear running up and down the stairs. One night, my dad had a strange ghostly face in his face. I was very happy when we moved out of there! "

CONCLUSION: Shannon McCabe, President of H.P.I.- "Well, Dyer Lane is certainly a creepy stretch of road. I didn't see much that would make me believe it was haunted. I have to go through hours of audio to make sure. I'd say another investigation down the road might be in order. Hey, at least the little cat found a good home, I'm satisfied!"

HPI in Aruba: In Search of Natalee Holloway Part 3

The Captain of the ship decided not to turn over his ship to the Dutch Marines, so he scuttled the ship. He safely had the crewmen go to the shore. He then heated up the boilers and opened the sea cocks. When the cold water hit the hot boilers, the ship exploded, ripping the ship in half. It sank in eight minutes. An Arubian that does not want to be identified tells me an Arubian ghost story. A man who would go to the beach by himself, would at times see a small boy in a t-shirt, that had no arms. The boy would stare at the man and walk towards the trees and vanish. The man thinking it was some boy that lived near the beach, thought nothing of it. Then one day, the boy with no arms appears again and approaches the man. The boy seemed to have a sinister look on his face. The man felt no threat from the little boy. As the boy got closer, he bit the man's leg viciously. The man had a stroke. The man screamed and people on the beach hearing the scream assisted the man. It was determined he had a stroke on the beach, but there was also a large bite mark on his leg.

Today spent most of the whole day at the Havana Beach Club, sipping pina coladas. Met another Columbian girl. Her name is Yuli Cacezes, she is an aspiring writer and I was giving her tips that may be beneficial for her future writing career.

On this night, went to another beach area for an EVP session. I asked about 20 or so questions. One questionable EVP is this one, that needs further analysis:

Paul: Natalee, how did you die? EVP of Woman: Don't know.

Well, today is Saturday. Time to lay out at the Havana Beach. I was walking over to the beach and they have artificially colored blue rocks and to my surprise there is a Chameleon, the Chameleon was a bright blue. Amazing! As I was in the water, I struck up a conversation with Pablia, another lady from Columbia. Now check this out. I don't speak any Spanish, sure...I know certain words and Pablia doesn't know how to speak English. But, with sign language and certain word recognition, I was able to gather this information. Pablia is from Columbia, she has 3 children, she loves the water. She is not fond of the Venezuela president and feels he may invade Aruba, because of the oil. She has a large family in Columbia, but a small family here in Aruba. She has been to Orlando, Florida and she understands I am from California. Now, that is mind blowing. Not being able to speak Spanish, but having a full on conversation and understanding what is being said. I amaze myself sometimes.

Enough of that, tonight went back to Mambo Jambo for more interviews. With 4 long island iced teas and 2 jello shots, I was still able to conduct interviews. The first interview tonight was a Columbian girl named Dora Zapata. She pointed the way to Cafe Bahia which was formerly known as Senor Frog. Yes! Senor Frog is the club where Natalee Holloway was last seen. After some Salsa dancing at Mambo Jambo, I will attempt to get some EVPs at Cafe Bahia. Tonight, I salsa danced with two ladies from Venezuela (Asdreina and Andrea). I really felt my salsa dancing sucked, but some Latino guys came over to tell me that I did a great job, especially when I started spinning them around and around and around. So, who knows. Perhaps I did good, perhaps I didn't. It is not easy to dance Salsa, especially if you are not familiar with the music. While I took a break from these ladies, I talked with Nolan Howe from Michigan. Nolan plans to join our HPI Michigan Branch Office. Nolan was completely fascinated with my stories and was quite knowledgeable about the paranormal. I was impressed.

After the nightclub ended, I went over to Cafe Bahia and took some pictures and tried to get some EVPs. Tonight I was unsuccessful in getting any EVPs. I made about 15 attempts at Cafe Bahia.

Special Note: People I interviewed claim that Natalee Holloway was last seen at the Senor Frog and not Carlos 'n Charlies like the newspapers reported. The 'don't know' EVP was obtained near the California Lighthouse.

Today is Sunday. I promised I would take it easy today, because I fly out on Monday. So, I did some EVP work at Pinchos Grill & Bar on the Pier. No success in obtaining EVPs. Then laid out at the Havana Beach Club, where I met two Columbian women - Jenny Castano and her girlfriend Angela Guitterez. They speak no English and I just know a few key words in Spanish and got into a great conversation with them, using a lot of sign language. Jenny fed me some Special K peaches and berries bars and in turn I bought them two pina coladas. Now I have committed myself to take them both to Mambo Jambo for dancing. As Jenny's girlfriend drove me back to my hotel from the beach, she played some Salsa music that she loves. I'm getting used to this Salsa music. It doesn't seem like I will be getting any rest tonight...sigh. It's not easy being a ghosthunter in an exotic land. No wonder they call Aruba - One Happy Island.

7pm and Jenny Castano & Angela Guitterez are at my door. We all hop in Angela's car and head downtown. They show me where Carlos 'n Charlies Restaurant and Bar is. They claim that Natalee Holloway was at this bar and it was the last place she was seen, not Senor Frog. But, Senor Frog is very close to Carlos 'n Charlies Restaurant and I can see how the Arubians could get that confused. Angela allowed me to drive her car on the streets of Aruba, that was a blast! On this night the three of us had Columbian dinners at Carlos Arango Dario Hincapie Jierras Colombianas - Schektstraat No 58. Wow! Columbian food is quite delicious and satisfied my pallet immensely! Afterwards we went to the Well Well Restaurant where Angela works as a bartender. We then finalized the night at the Wing Hung Restaurant and Bar (this is a Columbian bar), the prices are very good for drinks. The ladies had several drinks and shots and it cost a mere $20.00. Jenny taught me how to Columbian Salsa. My Salsa was top notch tonight and people at the bar were clapping. Ahhh...I still have it! What an exceptional evening and spent it looking at the billions of stars in the night sky with Jenny. No EVP work tonight, if you can catch my drift. I will miss Aruba. Tomorrow is the day I go home....double sigh.

Monday is here and I am jetting back home. Seated next to me is Kim and Andy Miller from Oakland. I love this couple, we had such a captivating conversation for most of the time heading to Oakland from Boston. Kim is very well traveled and we discussed the many countries we have visited. Kim had a great ghost story about the Mt. View Cemetery in Oakland. The very same cemetery where I had a scouting mission. Here is the story, that occurred in the 1800s. A wealthy doctor married a young gold digger women. He bought her a whopping diamond wedding ring. During their marriage, she became ill and died suddenly. The good doctor discovers after her demise that she had cheated on him. One night he heads out to the Mt. View Cemetery and digs up her fresh grave to get his ring back. As he pulls off her ring, she sits up from her coffin. The doctor has a heart attack on the spot and dies. It was discovered that his wife was accidently buried alive. This concludes my investigation in Aruba. While I was in Aruba, I did some promoting of HPI and Ghost Girls. The 4 female bartenders of Mambo Jambo allowed me to place Ghost Girls business cards on all of the seats of the club and the DJ announced that Ghost Girls business cards were placed on the seats, because an American ghosthunter and ghostwriter is in Aruba. That was some great advertising by Mambo Jambo and I thank them for this!

FINDINGS:
I interviewed dozens of people on the streets of Aruba. Many who are not even mentioned in this article. Many people confirm that a blonde phantom woman does walk the beaches of Aruba. I cannot confirm that this blonde phantom woman is Natalee Holloway. During my EVP sessions, the two EVPs I received are from a woman, but she does not confirm she is Natalee Holloway, even though the 'don't know' EVP, I do ask a question directed to Natalee and received the EVP.

CONCLUSION:
With the many witnesses that claim to have seen or heard about the blonde phantom woman of the Aruba beaches, I do believe they are seeing something that may be paranormal. With the two EVPs that I received, there is a strong indication that there is paranormal activity. I gathered no positive proof that the EVPs are from Natalee Holloway, nor did I ever see a blonde phantom woman on the beaches of Aruba. Many people believe Joran spiked Natalee's drinks with drugs. Many people believe that Joran's father took Natalee on his boat and dumped her body in the ocean. One person I interviewed that calls herself Sasha, says he received this information from the circle of friends that were associated with Joran. My thoughts, when rumors are this strong, there appears there may be some type of foundation of truth and this matter should continue being investigated by the police. As long as Natalee's death is not confirmed, Aruba cannot truly be 'one happy island'. There must be a conclusion to this and justice must be served! Natalee will always be in the hearts of millions. She is an innocent girl that confronted evil and paid a terrible price. God bless Natalee.

HPI in Aruba: In Search of Natalee Holloway Part 2

Vasilisa has her own ghost story from Jaimaca. When she was 12 years old, she saw a woman in white holding a handbag near a big tree. As she watched the woman, she vanished in front of Vasilisa's eyes. Here in Aruba, her friend was jogging and saw a man with no shirt, as he passed the man with no shirt, he vanished in front of his eyes. Vasilisa works at the Mambo Jambo and put on Conversations with a Serial Killer from Shannon McCabe's website and everyone at Mambo Jambo was watching Shannon and I talk about Richard Trenton Chase for Two Four Productions. Vasilisa had to check out my credentials and started reading some of my articles at Alien Seeker News. Vasilisa's desire is to meet celebrity psychic Nancy Bradley. I told her, I will hook her up when I returned back to the States.

The next person I interviewed was Fanny Rodriguez. Fanny is a proclaimed psychic and she says when she drives 60 mph, she can see ghosts walking along the road. She at times astral projects from her body. One night as she laid in bed with her boyfriend, she saw her boyfriend standing over her, but yet her boyfriend was still next to her in bed. Either we have a ghost that does a good impersonation of her boyfriend or her boyfriend astral projected himself and that is what Fanny saw.

I met Darierre del Roxario on the street and she attests that Natalee Holloway is actually seen walking along the beach, this is the blonde phantom woman of the beach.

My next victims, I mean interviewees were three women from Italy. I met the lovely Susy Serra and her two girlfriends, they are here from Italy. Instead of telling me ghost stories, these ladies wanted me to tell them ghost stories. So, I talked the night away about one encounter after another. All three women were fascinated about the paranormal.

After the three Italian women left, I went to another club, it was so jam packed, that people were dancing on the streets, outside the door of this establishment. Here I met a Swedish girl that has no interest in the paranormal, but had a strong interest in Salsa dancing. I showed her some quick moves and she was hooked. We danced in the street during a down pour of rain that lasted for 15 minutes. We were both soaked.

Looking at the time, I had to attempt to get EVPs of Natalee Holloway. The Swedish girl who wishes to remain anonymous tagged along with me via taxi to a location where Natalee may have been. Asking a series of questions, it appears I may have gotten one EVP of a woman.

Paul: Natalee are you here? EVP of young woman: Help me please.

More EVP attempts are made and nothing is found for this night. I close this story for now, as the Swedish girl is bringing me a long island iced tea, as she sips on an Arubian beer. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Well, tomorrow is here. It's Thursday! I woke up before 10am! Yahoo! I didn't miss the breakfast buffet here at the hotel! After I finished eating, went down to the Havana Beach and laid out. This beach is a trip, it has big lizards walking around on the beach. Also, you might note, there are big green Iguanas that walk around Aruba parks. The parks in Aruba do not have squirrels, they have big green lizards. But, let's get back to the beach. When you go into the water, you have fish swimming around your legs. The water is crystal clear and warm! On the beach I met Patricia Howard from the Southern part of London. It was an enjoyable conversation with Patricia, since I have been to London and I told her all of the places I visited while in London.

It's nice to pass time with people that are worldly, you get a better perspective of life. Worldly people are always captivating. On this day, I was very successful in something I wanted to do since I have been out here. To travel over to Venezuela. But, I will tell you about that in a minute. As I walk the streets of Aruba, people have reggae music or salsa music blasting from their cars, from their homes, from their businesses. You can hear reggae artists such as the classic Bob Marley and the Wailers and the newer reggae artists such as D' Angel, Lady Saw, Barbee. On this day, would visit the Eet Cafe - The Paddock and Iguana Joes. I encountered a lovely lady named Leslie Kain from Cincinnati. Cincinnati, Ohio is just another place I have been to, so it was easy to talk with Leslie about her home town. But, what I didn't know about her home town is a place called Bobby Mackeys. In this old bar and restaurant she tells me that the cellar of this establishment is very haunted. She says objects constantly move around and many patrons have seen full body apparitions while frequenting this place. Okay Leslie, you have me convinced, if I ever get back to Cincinnati, I will definitely check this place out!

As I was sitting at the Burger King #14524 - Caya Betico Croes #81, Oranjestad, Aruba, I met Captain Crowley. I was choking down my double Whopper with cheese and large coke, that cost me a mere $7.60. This is better that the other prices I have been paying for meals. I'm starting to watch my budget now. I got into a conversation with Captain Crowley and he told me he has a vessel called the Smidgen parked off the docks. I told him how desperately I have been wanting to go over to Venezuela. Captain Crowley said he could oblige for a sum of $200.00. So, much for my budget...sigh. The only problem is that he will not be able to dock his boat in Venezuela, but he promised me that I could see the coastline and that I will be in Venezuela territorial waters. I can make the claim that I have been in the territory of Venezuela. I agreed and handed over $200.00 cash. This is a trip that would be well worth it. It's only a mere 15 miles to Venezuela and the reason why they have no ferry boats going over to Venezuela is because there is some bitterness between Venezuela and Aruba. The Venezuela president has been rubbing shoulders with the Russian president and both have been eyeing oil wells near and around Aruba. Aruba is afraid that Venezuela may take claim of their island. The 15 mile ride seemed to go on forever, but finally I was in territorial waters and could see the gorgeous coastline of Venezuela. One of the boat hands is from Venezuela, his name is Fredrico Perez. I asked Fredrico are there any cattle mutilations in Venezuela, evil gnomes or UFOs.

Fredrico in his own words says: Some people say that silver discs fly in and around the capitol of Venezuela. There have been cattle mutilations back in the late 80s. I don't know about gnomes, but it is said that there are little people living in the forests of Venezuela. Some of these little people have been seen near landed UFOs. I have a friend who says that he saw a little person on a high tree branch. As my friend looked at the little person, he could see that his skin seemed leathery, his color was sort of bluish and his eyes were red. My friend was very scared and ran from the tree.

I enjoyed my boat ride and the feel of the wind in my face was ecstatic. When I got off the boat, my hair was completely wind blown and I must have frightened many tourists with my wind blown appearance. Time to refresh myself back at the hotel. Goodbye Punto Fijo, Venezuela.

As I relax at my hotel bar sipping on an Arubian beer, I start a conversation with Lila Megens. Lila is from Venezuela and I easily place her into a conversation about ghosts and asked her if she ever had a paranormal experience. Lila tells me that when her sister was 7 years old, she complained about headaches. Then one day out of the clear blue, she passed away. Her mother was completely traumatized from this experience and would prepare a place on the table for her daughter, as if she was still alive. Every day her mother cried. Lila and her other sister had a vision that they were playing with their sister that passed away. The deceased sister stated to both living sisters, that she was still there, but she cannot be touched. She explains to both living sisters that she does not belong here, but to tell mother to please let her rest. Both visions were similar. When the mother heard of this, she finally calmed down and the visions stopped.

I ended this night by going back to the Mambo Jambo and listening to Madonna's song 'Holiday' and having a few laughs with the lady bartenders. On my way back to the hotel, I made some more EVP attempts at the beach and I was unsuccessful. Okay, it's time to sleep, tomorrow is Friday!

It's Friday! This week is going by fast. As I look out from my hotel through the palm trees that hold large coconuts, I see a multi-colored designed bus. These buses that travel throughout Aruba are referred to as Bar Hopping Buses. At night time, they carry party revelers throughout Aruba and they make stops at various nightclubs and bars. You don't see things like that in Sacramento. Yep! I am not in Kansas anymore.

Today I went on the Atlantis submarine tour. I have never been on a real submarine, but I did this time. I have been on a 1/2 submarine in Tahiti, but this is something I have never experienced. Besides seeing the spectacular coral reefs and an abundance of colorful sea life, you also get to see two shipwrecks. One of the shipwrecks is the Antilla. This was once a German U-boat supply ship. During World War II, Dutch Marines gave the ship 24 hours to surrender.

This is the start of my vacation. The day is 12 January 2009. I am headed for Aruba. I stop at Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe's home, she has offered to drive me to the airport. I tell Shannon, that is really nice that you will drive me to Oakland. She exclaims...Oakland? I thought you were flying out of Sacramento? Paul: No, I said Oakland. Shannon: I can't go to Oakland, I am sorry, I thought you were flying out of Sacramento. Paul: Don't worry about it Shannon, I can get to Oakland by myself. Shannon: I am really sorry man. Paul: Don't sweat it, just make sure to watch my dogs HPI and Pika. Rukesh Kumar, my neighbor will be watching them too, I am glad you and Rukesh have met. Shannon: Don't worry about the dogs Paul, I will even walk them!

Now you are probably wondering why I am headed over to Aruba. I am headed over to Aruba for pleasure and to investigate the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

Quick History Lesson on Aruba:
The wind-swept island of Aruba was discovered and claimed for Spain in 1499, later acquired by the Dutch in 1636. Aruba was once part of the Netherlands Antilles, but they withdrew and subsequently became an independent member of the kingdom of the Netherlands. At one time oil refining and even gold mining was the major industry in Aruba, but when tourists discovered this island, things for Arubians changed and it changed for the better. This sunshiny place of balmy perfect weather, sandy beaches, duty-free shopping has one of the most fascinating ecosystems on the planet, is surrounded by the warm, aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea. Yes, Aruba is paradise.

Where Will I Be Staying?

On my way to Aruba, I am cramped in with an older couple. The older guy is right next to me and he is elbowing me throughout the whole trip. Later in the flight, he takes off his shoes and socks and starts fiddling around with his feet. The thoughts in my head were unimaginable. I did everything in my power to hold down my breakfast. I was so happy arriving to Aruba and getting as far away as possible from this guy. When the jet landed, they started playing the Beach Boy's Kokomo song.

The next thing is the fun part, negotiating with taxi drivers on their prices. Finally found a taxi driver with somewhat of a reasonable price. $15.00 cash to get from the airport to my hotel. What the? It was practically an 8 minute ride. Since the taxi driver was not too friendly, I stiffed him a tip. Man, this was one grouchy taxi driver, nice taxi drivers get tips, grouchy ones don't get anything.

I love my hotel, you can feel the island breeze, a cute outdoor patio and bar, beautiful swimming pool and the interior of my hotel room is everything I wanted. Yes, I can see why this hotel is called The Talk of the Town. Big price though, over a thousand bucks for 6 nights. Ouch! Oh well, I am on vacation.

On the first day, I am exhausted and jet lagged, but my curiosity is at an all time high. I want to see the town. On this day, I would check out the Marketplace, Seaport Casino and Parlament di Aruba.

This Tuesday night, I had the pleasure of meeting a gorgeous dark haired Colombian girl named Sandra Osono. Sandra has given me many details of her country in Columbia and why she has moved to Aruba. Sandra was a pleasure to talk to and I will be keeping in touch with Sandra. This night, I would get lost in my thoughts as I listened to the reggae and salsa music at a club called Mambo Jambo and sipping on my pina colada.

It is now Wednesday and I would stop over at the Beach Bar Havana aka The New Havana Beach Bar and Restaurants. This is right across the street from my hotel and to my surprise, the Arubian women are parading around this beach without any tops. I instantly thought, just perhaps, the Arubian women might be poor and are not able to afford a full piece bathing suit, so minus the tops. Perhaps, when I get to America, I will start up a charity for these poor women, so they can have full piece bathing suits and they will not have to walk around the beach without their tops. I felt saddened at their plight.

Today, I would spend much of the day souvenir shopping and when I got hungry I would have some beef chop suey at the Kowloon Restaurant. In a location near the Kowloon Restaurant, I met Sasha (not her real name). She asked why I was walking around taking notes. I explained to her that I have heard stories about a blonde phantom woman that walks the beach of Aruba and some people think it is Natalee Holloway.

I explained that last night, I did go to the beach late at night. A beach location that some people believe that Natalee was taken to and attempted to get some EVPs. Some of the questions I have asked are: Natalee are you here? Natalee if you are here, speak to me. So far, I have not gathered any EVPs. I will continue trying.

Sasha laughed. Sasha: You are a ghosthunter, this is funny. There are many ghosts here in Aruba and many stories. The blonde phantom woman, is probably the Lady of the Mist. The Lady of the Mist is a ghost of a woman, that may have drowned. If you want to know how Natalee died, I know some of Joran's (Joran van der Sloot) circle of friends. I was told that Joran placed some drugs in her drinks and when he got her out to the beach, she went into convulsions. He had one of his friends drop her out in the ocean. Joran was scared when Natalee went into convulsions, because it was his drugs that killed her. Joran could only think of getting rid of any evidence and that was disposing of the body. That is why Joran did not call the cops, he is a coward.

Paul: Sasha, why haven't you told the cops? Sasha: The cops already know and they do nothing. I don't want to be involved and please do not use my name in your article, not my real name, you can call me Sasha, that is okay. Paul: Wow! I was expecting to just try and get some EVPs, I didn't realize I was going to talk to a person that has some inside knowledge.

After my meeting with Sasha, I watched her as she walked into a crowd of people at the local mall and vanished. I can only wonder what other information, I will find while in Aruba?

As I walked back to my hotel, I sort of was in a trance after talking with Sasha. A Mercedes pulls up and a dark haired Arubian girl stops the Mercedes and opens the door and tells me to get in! As I prepared to get in, a horn blows and I realize I was merely daydreaming. The person blowing the horn, was a large old woman in an old beat up Chevy. I was daydreaming the James Bond (Quantum of Solice) scene.

Hey, what do you expect? I am in paradise, the island of dreams...I can daydream a little bit. But, I know that this vacation is becoming an adventure and the night has not even arrived yet.

Okay, the night is here. It's Wednesday night. It's time to get friendly. It's time to interview people. My first interviewee is: Vasilisa Henriquez. Vasilisa verifies the story that Sasha told me and doesn't mind that I use her real name in my article. Vasilisa looks like a model and she has this sweet Jamaican accent. Instead of calling me Paul, she calls me Pol. I like that. Vasilisa Henriquez also tells me that Joran called his father when Natalee supposingly died. It was Joran's father that took Natalee on the boat and dumped her body. This is the story that has been told repeatedly here in Aruba.

Question: It's been a while since I interviewed you. This is a chance to tell the audience about your life and who you are.
Not a lot to say I guess. I grew up on comics & abandoned them for girls & music as a teenager. I rediscovered them a few years ago & started making my own. Besides the comics I also make music, run a record label, & paint.
Question: Why small comics, why not regular sized comics?
I think the mini-comic format has a lot more physicality to it. You hold it your hand & it feels like a special object. Also of course they’re easier to afford to make.
Question: There is a lot of drama in these comics, would you say you have witnessed a lot of drama in your life?
I can’t complain. A lot of people have had a lot more drama than me, but I suppose I have had my share. The whole thing is I try to create emotional accuracy in my comics & people thinks that makes them autobiographical. My murder stories are just as based in my life as the personal trauma tales.
Question: Does the drama in your own life, inspire you to write these stories?
Yeah, I suppose it does, but sometimes the drama is from a dream or something. The stories kinda start with a single scene or idea & then run through to their logical conclusion. Then with Lost Kisses I go back & add in some jokes. XO has generally been one gag of “I accidentally kill people,” but it will be getting a little more serious. Worms is different of course because it really is absolute fiction & just me emulating some stuff I like (Kafka, Lovecraft, Burroughs, etc.) & doing the best I can to take one scene I have in my mind & building around it.
Question: When do the next issues come out?
Melissa already has the next issue of XO & is working on it, so I’m hoping it will be soon. It’s part of an origin story from high school & does have a basis in my real life & that makes it even funnier to me (as much as killing people & disposing of bodies can be funny).
Lost Kisses #7 & #8 is a two parter about breaking into a girl’s house. & I already have the scripts & just need to draw the panels. #9 is half scripted & about how I alienate my friends girlfriends/boyfriends. #10 is about people saying “I love you” inappropriately. After issue ten I plan to tell stories that are seemingly less autobiographical with female lead characters for a few issues.
Worms I need to write issue #3, but first I need to figure out exactly what is happening myself.
I went through a lot of crap in the past year that kind of kept me from working on my comics, but I am trying to get more going again right now & have some ideas for other books that will get going if I can find artists for them.
Question: Do you ever plan to place these comics on the Internet or on CD?
Yes. In fact I just got a grant from North Carolina Arts Council to make a DVD of Lost Kisses cartoons. I haven’t got the digital versions of all the newest stuff up yet partially because of trying to get things done for the Lost Kisses DVD (I want ten issues on it). I just got turned on to the CBR/CBZ digital comic stuff & I do plan to make some versions of the comics incorporating that.
Question: Here is an off-the-wall question, have you ever witnessed anything paranormal in nature?
I’ll tell you a story that probably should be in a comic one day. The family that lived in my parents’ house prior to them, their daughter killed herself on her wedding day. When they were checking out the house her dress was still in one of the closets. Anyway, you always got this creepy feeling walking at the landing at the top of the stairs. So this girl I was going out with had a rental car & she swears that whatever that feeling was got in the car with her & she traded the car the next day. That feeling is no longer really at the top of the stairs. I don’t know that I believe in ghosts though.
Question: What hobbies, recreational activities do you enjoy and do?
I used to walk a lot. Several miles a day. But lately I don’t have time. My situation right now is I help to take care of my 92-year-old grandmother with dementia & that takes basically 90 hours a week. I try to keep things balanced so she can stay in the house without driving my mom & dad crazy & them throwing her back into a home because those places are horrible, even the ones that cost $60,000 a year are still not good places to live. So right now I try to make enough money to scrimp along doing odd jobs for other musicians (doing promotions & mastering) & running Silber Records & in my spare time I’m working on my own music & the comics. I don’t even know what I’d do with spare time if I had it. I just barely have time to think & barely get to read books at all. But if anyone reading this has a telecommute job I could to do while sitting next to my grandmother, I could use the money.
Question: What cartoons, TV shows and movies do you enjoy?
I really dig Venture Brothers lately. The classic cartoons I dig most are probably Thundar & Pepe LePew & I’d like to give a special shout out to the Roughnecks: Starship Trooper Chronicles cartoon. For modern live action shows I have been watching Sarah Connor Chronicles & fairly recently discovered Grounded for Life (I’m behind the times a bit). For movies I’m mainly into a lot of really old stuff, I really like the Mickey Rooney teenage comedy stuff & anything with Lon Cheney, Sr. I think Cronenberg is probably the best director alive. I believe however that some of the 1980s shows I watched repeatedly like Growing Pains, Cheers, Magnum P.I., & Miami Vice might be the biggest influence to my writing style.
Question: What comic books and books do you read?
I don’t really buy any monthly comic books except Glamourpuss (actually bi-monthly). I just have too much on my mind to be able to read things in that way. Plus there is a lot of old stuff to catch up on. I’m pretty into Cerebus & Will Eisner & Grendel & I grew up on Marvel comics & have a special fondness for Killraven, Daredevil, The Hulk, The Thing, & Captain America. For books I’m currently reading Robert E. Howard’s People of the Black Circle, Studs Turkel’s Working, Proverbs (The Bible), & Super Folks by Robert Mayer. I often name Wet Work by Philip Nutman as my favorite novel.
Question: If you could have 6 dinner guests, 3 fictional and 3 non-fictional, who would they be and why?
Hmmm. I’d like to give the stipulation that the assumption is we’d all speak the same language fluently. I think I’d like David Cronenberg because he just seems like a good guy & smart & not an ego-maniac. Robert E. Howard because I have always been amazed by his work & the certain mystery of him as a human being. Justin Broadrick the guitarist for Godflesh & Jesu because he gives great interviews & seems really interesting to me. For fictional I think Killraven (from Marvel Comics) because he’s been important to me for unknown reasons & I also think it would be interesting to see Howard’s reaction to him. Raskolnikov from Crime & Punishment because I always liked him & felt like I could relate to him a lot more than I wanted to. Martin Blank (John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank) would be good because he could give me ideas for XO. Of course if I could delve into my own fiction & get my own characters so they could write their own stories instead of me that would be nice.
Question: If you could get into a time machine, what year would you stop at and why?
I’d probably go to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Seems like one of the more important events of the past 2000 years since our whole date keeping system is based on it. But I’d rather have the ability to send my mind now back into my body when I was in high school & maybe do things a little differently in my life.
Question: This ends the interview, any last words of wisdom?
If you want to do a comic or write a novel or make a movie or write a song or whatever, you should just do it & not worry about if it’s good or if anyone wants to read it. The only way to do something is by doing it.

Comments: Lost Kisses, Brian talks about women in general. It appears the information is brought on from the experiences found in his life. The woman in focus in this story has a history of mental abuse and other type of abuses. She is a pathological liar. She has been in terrible relationships. The boy in this story is somewhat shallow and remarks on the aberrations he finds on her body. She appears to be a gold digger, her intimacy seems faked. You get two sides of this picture. In a second story, it seems like a dream come true and the other story is horror around every corner. Some of these stories remind me of my Starbucks coffee dates. There are personality conflicts, they don't look like their picture, they live beyond their means, they are shallow and egotistical. To find the perfect woman is as hard as capturing a Bigfoot. In Worms, you have a woman that has a gun battle with a policeman, she finds herself tied up on a gurney and taken to a hospital where they are intravenously giving their patients a solution that has tiny worms in it...yep, we have a big mystery and it will continue.... In XO, a guy is a good Samaritan and saves a girl from a brutal attack by some ruffian guy. The good Samaritan breaks the ruffian's finger, punches him in the face and accidentally kills him. He now has to clean up this accidental murder. He should have minded his own business. SilberMedia has extreme entertainment in small packages. I am headed for Aruba and Argentina, I can carry these comics in my shirt pocket and read them on my layovers, it can't get any better than that!

A Funny Thing Happened at Traffic Court

At Laguna Blvd and Franklin Blvd, they placed these automatic cameras that take a picture of your car if you run a red light. It finally happened to me. I made a right on a red light and didn’t stop and proceeded on. I received an automatic ticket in the mail. On the ticket it tells you where on the website you can see the crime of running a red light. I went to the website, put in my password and I could see my car clearly running that red light. Or did I? There seemed to be a fraction of a second stop and my brake lights were on. Hmmm.

I went to the courthouse on Bicentennial Way, where they have a zillion no parking signs along the street, so you will pay for parking at the courthouse parking lot. Yep, they try to squeeze every dime out of ya. When I talked with a representative of the D.A.’s office, he looked at the video and said I made a ‘California Stop’. He asked if I wanted to plead no contest, which in legal terms means I am pleading guilty. My answer was no. I wanted to have my day in court.

I went to my court appearance and two of Elk Grove’s finest greeted me and basically introduced themselves and showed me the compelling evidence, they suggested I go with ‘no contest’. I smiled and shook their hands and told them I would proceed with a no guilty plead. They looked surprised.

When it was my time to step up and present my case, I heard the evidence again from Elk Grove’s finest and they played the video twice for the judge. The judge then asked how I would plead after seeing the evidence. I pleaded not guilty and the judge was curious on why I would plead not guilty. I told the judge that I saw the video many times over and noticed my brake lights were on and that I may have stopped for a fraction of a second. I then told the judge that a representative of the DA’s office said I made a California stop and that I wanted to ask the Elk Grove police just one simple question. That question was……….“now that you have shown us the video, would you call that a California stop?” The one Elk Grove police officer hesitated and with two fingers balancing her chin says…”sure”.

I did my Columbo impersonation and started rubbing my forehead and said “that is where I am confused.” The judge looks at me and asked how I was confused. I told the judge that the representative of the DA calls it a California stop, the Elk Grove police consider it as a California stop and I have a Webster’s dictionary with me and it defines ‘stop’ as: cease to move, to halt. So no matter what you call the stop, you may call it a Hollywood stop, California stop, Michigan stop, Hawaii stop…a stop is a stop. There is no official definition for California stop.

At this time there was some snickering in the audience. The judge explained to me that it was a slang term. I then said, “that is my point your honor, it’s slang, it’s not official.” The judge explained that this term is used by the judicial system and by the police since the invention of the automobile. I explained that this term is incorrect and should not be used and a defendant like me becomes confused with this type of terminology. The judge blurts out that the term rolling stop is also used. I then said…”there you go again…that would be an oxymoron. How can you be rolling and stopped at the same time? That would be a contradiction of the term.”

We went on and on and when I noticed that the judge was turning red in the face and somewhat flustered, I told him I no longer want to argue the point.

The judge then said that I was still guilty and that I would pay the full fine and also granted traffic school. Total bill: $402.00.

I guess my point is, that if everything is supposed to be legal and correct in our judicial system, then correct terminology needs to be used, not slang.

Question: Tell us something personal about yourself, your family life, schools you went to, etc.

Last year I began working on a project I’ve wanted to do for quite awhile- retelling the story of my life in “segments”- essentially for the benefit of my children. I published the first book “Stories from my childhood” in 2008 and sent it to a handful of longtime friends. It was very well received. If there’s enough interest I may release it to the general public as well. Now I’m working on the second book- stories from my teen years. My goal is to finish one book in this series per year.

Question: What was the first comic book you ever read?

The second-hand DC and Charlton war comics passed along to me by my older brother Joe.

Question: How did the concept of “Ancient Tales from the Future” (ATFTF) come about?

I’ve always felt that the kids of today have a difficult time relating to the Biblical stories replete with camels, tents and robes. They are not in our experience. I wanted to take the same characters and events and place them in a futuristic setting which would be of interest to today’s generation of readers. “Jonah 2056” is the first of that series.

Question: What was the motivating factor for ATFTF?

I wanted to do a comic that expressed my feelings about God but in a creative, entertaining manner- not “preachy”.

Question: Will there be other issues?

I hope so. I have several of them plotted already.

Question: Is there a message you are trying to relate to the readers with this comic book?

I think there’s a lot in the story of Jonah. It tells of a very human person not a little tin god like the religious figures and political demagogues of today.

Question: Do you have anything else in the works?

“Followers of the All” #1, an allegorical science-fiction series, is scheduled to come out this Spring, God willing. I’d also like to release “Tales from the Seventh Galaxy” #3 and a couple of other books this year as well.

Question: I know you know, that I am the President of Jazma Online! But, you may not realize that I am also the General Manager and a paranormal investigator for H.P.I. (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations) of Northern California at www.hpiparanormal.net and I am their ghostwriter. Anyway, I must ask you an off-the-wall question. Have you ever had a paranormal experience and if you did, can you tell us about it?

I really had to put on my thinking-cap for that one. It’s not an experience I had directly but it was very unusual. My grandparents had a very close relationship and when my grandfather died my grandmother was very distraught. Later she related to me a story of what she said happened to her shortly after his death. She was sitting up in bed one afternoon when all of a sudden she felt very strange. She then saw my grandfather sort of “float” into the room. He was still wearing his hospital garments and my grandmother said the little tie-strings were fluttering as if in a breeze. She was startled and called out a term of endearment she’d always used with him. He simply looked at her and gently smiled. Then he “floated” back out the doorway and was gone. After that she said she felt at peace because she knew he was happy and had come to reassure her. Coming from my grandmother who was a very serious-minded, no-nonsense German woman whom I had never heard make a religious comment in her life- yes, I believe it did happen.

I’ve never been to one, believe it or not.

To be honest, there’s no one I’m terribly interested in meeting- other than Jesus Christ- there’s a lot of things I’d like to ask him.

It’s funny- that’s a question I’ve asked many people. I guess it comes from being dissatisfied with our present lives or the present world. For me, I’d like to go back to 1950 as an adult and relive the twenty year period from 1950-1970. There were so many wonderful things that were produced during that time- comic books, classic paperbacks, TV shows, science-fiction movies. And it was just a nicer time period.

Question: What TV shows, movies, cartoons do you like?

Mainly I watch shows with my kids. Children’s movies. I picked up the “Leave it to Beaver” DVD set and they loved it. Also, “Snow White and the Three Stooges” went over real big recently.

Question: What books do you enjoy?

I love to read. Mostly science-fiction books from the 40’s and 50’s or true-life survival stories. Also true espionage or wartime escape accounts.

Question: What comic books do you read now?

I like the “Marvel Essentials” series which reprints the old Marvel Silver Age comics in black & white. It really showcases the beauty of the art.

Question: What gives you your creative energy?

That’s always come from within- it’s part of who I am. I could sooner stop breathing than stop creating.

Question: If ATFTF became a movie, who would play the main character parts and why?

I’d like to see “Jonah 2056” done as a high-quality animation similar in style to the “Barbie” movies style of realistic animation.

I think it was the Chinese who said, “the longest journey begins with the first step”. Goals can be achieved but they require taking one step at a time- plus a lot of patience and perseverance!

Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe got the call on this case via our HPI hotline. Shannon notifies me and asked if I wanted the case. My answer was simple. "Yes".

I heard the frantic anxiety in his voice. The call was taken at 4:00am. Kareem Butler: "Paul, when are you coming down here?" Paul: "Soon, I will be at your home on January 2, 2009, Friday at 7:30pm." Kareem: "Paul, it's getting out of control, the entity calls itself Al and it text messaged me and said that it was going to kill my family! It has also threatened one of my children and said we are all going to die! We are seeing black misty shapes, shadows darting here and there, the TVs turn on by themselves. The lights go off and on. It also tries to speak through my cell phone! We need your help!" Paul: "Hang in there brother, we'll be down tomorrow, tomorrow is Friday!"

Friday is here and I assembled my HPI Paranormal Task Force. Paranormal Investigator Roll Call: Jen S., Kathy & Tom, David Mace, Angela Fellines, Face aka Leatherface aka Telly Blackwood, Tammy Straling, Valerie Rankin. Lead Investigator: Paul Dale Roberts. Everyone has a role in this investigation. Jen S, Kathy & Tom, Tammy Straling with their superb paranormal investigating skills. Tammy also does secretarial work for me and takes on the role as a case manager, calling the client and retrieving needed information for our investigation. Kathy is one of the sensitives of my group. David Mace handles all the technical analysis, he became technical savvy from the work he does with his real job. He also is a superb researcher in gathering data on the history of the land and history of the houses we investigate. Valerie Rankin is a psychic from the bay area and is knowledgeable about cleansing homes. Angela Fellines is a professional in the metaphysical arts and also knowledgeable about blessings/cleansings. As for Face, this was his actual first time working in the capacity of a paranormal investigator and not in the role of media/videographer. Face prepared himself with temperature gauge, night vision goggles, video camera, EMF Reader.

Equipment Used: temperature gauges, EMF readers, video cameras, digital audio recorders, regular tape recorders, Listen Up Sound Enhancers, K2 readers, flashlights, Toshiba laptop.

For the cleansing/blessing of the home, we were equipped with: holy water, crucifix, rosary beads, sage, vibrating sound bowls, cleansing salts.

Occupants that greeted the HPI Paranormal Task Force were: Kareem Butler and his wife Megan Butler. Kareem's sister Cassandra Celestine.

The home is a two-story home. According to Kareem most of the activity centers around a tent in the backyard, the 2nd floor and at times the living room. On this night, we would have 2 free-for-all roaming investigations for the investigators to explore the home on their own. Later we would break up the group into two teams. One team to explore the 2nd floor and the other team to explore the first floor, backyard, front yard, garage. Later we would switch areas, so all teams will have the chance to fully explore and investigate the home. During the time we are prepared to switch into different areas, there would be a brief meeting with the occupants to see what sort of evidence we were gathering. After this investigation is over, Valerie Rankin would cleanse the home using salts and sage. Angela Fellines would do a blessing/cleansing using her vibrating sound bowls, meditation and sage burning.

I was prepared to execute a Catholic blessing, but it was not necessary in this case.

After the investigation, blessings and cleansings were done, I had a final debriefing with all of the investigators with occupants present. Interviewing each investigator, this is what I discovered and evidence was presented to the occupants:

Tom: No EVPs gathered, but Tom felt cold spots. Witnessed a moving shadow that resembled a bird or a mask on the ceiling.

Kathy: Witnessed a shadow moving in the closet on the 2nd floor. Gathered two EVPs. One that sounded like a screeching and the other EVP that said "huh?" Some photographs show orb activity. Note: Orb pictures are inconclusive. Another photograph that Kathy took, there is a red glare on the closet ceiling, 2nd photo there is no red glare. A very unusual photograph that Kathy took shows a shadow anomaly. I can only describe it as a big black glob. 2nd photograph there is no big black glob.

Tammy Straling: Felt cold spots. Gets EVP of an older woman saying: "Reach out and pick it up!"

Jen S.: Felt cold spots, received goosebumps from the experience. One room she noticed it got darker and lighter for no apparent reason. Her camera for a while, did not work properly.

Face: Takes photograph in the living room, an anomaly shows up in the photograph that appears to be a black and reddish mass near a large painting. Status: Needs further analysis.

Angela Fellines: Felt cold spots. Most of this whole night, she worked on cleansing the home.

Paul Dale Roberts: No photographic anomalies were taken. Two EVPs. I asked the question, what is your name and got back a man's voice saying Tashiba or Tasha. Occupant says her daughter is named Tasha. 2nd EVP sounds like whispering, inaudible.

David Mace: Felt cold chill down his spine. At times he felt lightheaded at the stairwell. Felt cold spots. He had electronic problems with his equipment. Example: His flash would not recharge. Picked up what he heard were footsteps in the closet. David discovers a cell phone tower 500 feet from the house. This could be the strange noises that sound like electronical voices over Kareem's cell phone, something that Tammy and I, both heard while talking with Kareem.

Tonight, I was prepared for many blessings/cleansings of this home, in case the black mass or black shadows that the family was witnessing could be demonic. A close family member died in this home and the activity seemed to become active after his demise.

An interesting aspect of this case is that Valerie Rankin picked up that someone in this family didn't know how to make cornbread. She also picked up the State that this family was from. She also described clothing that certain family members would wear for certain occasions. I interviewed the occupants and they said she had all the information correct. I talked with Valerie and she thought that there was an American Indian that would watch over this family from the backyard window. It is rumored that this land was built over an American Indian graveyard and other homes in the area were proclaimed haunted. Four neighbors of the Butlers moved away, because they claimed their homes were haunted. This area according to Kareem is one of the most haunted areas of Stockton.

As my investigate team were busy conducting their investigation, I looked over my notes that David Mace provided me. This is what David discovered in his own words:

"I spent hours doing research on the Internet without a lot of luck. I did find that Stockton does have a lot of history with Satanic type rituals, groups, etc. I even found articles back to 1923, one dealing with the murder of a Satanic cult leader. However I have not found anything related directly to this location. Just prior to this housing complex being built, it was a somewhat remote orchard of some kind. The client's house would have been located almost directly in the middle of it.

The other avenue I looked at was the native Americans than lived in the area.

When Europeans arrived, they found the Yatchicumne, a group of Northern Valley Yokuts people, living in the Stockton area. The Yokuts built their villages on low mounds to keep their homes above floods. A Yokuts village called Pasasimas was located on a mound between Edison and Harrison streets in Stockton. When Europeans arrived in northern California, many Native Americans were forced into missions or died from new diseases. However, many Native American people still live in San Joaquin County today.

The Manson Family had been in Stockton and may have been involved in at least one murder there. There are still many missing persons that associated with the family.

After this investigation was over, I looked over the material we already have. Here are my findings and conclusion.

FINDINGS:
Numerous EVPs are gathered. Photographic anomalies are discovered. Photographs need further analysis. Other evidence is still pending from the investigators.

CONCLUSION:
From the EVPs that we gathered this night, I do believe there is some type of paranormal activity in this house. Some of the photographs are quite unusual, especially the one that Face took of a black reddish mass and Kathy's shadow glob. We sought out demonic activity and no demonic activity was detected, but there appears to be ghost activity in this home.

Creating our Own God.
Is it possible to create our own god? The answer is yes. The Internet is a vast cyberspace universe teeming with information. What if we placed true artificial intelligence into a desktop computer? The artificial intelligence unit would connect with the Internet super highway and absorb all knowledge of the Internet. You would have a pure energy god that now has every tidbit of information that is flowing on the Internet. We would have created our own god. May this god be benevolent or malevolent? One day we may encounter this and find out.

What are Ghosts?
Did you know that we lose 21 grams at the instance of death? What are those 21 grams? Is it access skin, blood, gas? No, it's the energy that we generate everyday leaving our bodies. Kirlian photography has shown an energy mist leaving the body of a recently deceased person that seemed to be exiting the forehead area. Could this energy contain all the knowledge of the deceased person? Could the intelligence remain with the energy? The energy would be the deceased person’s aura. I would say...why not? On the Quantum level, our matter bodies are pure energy. We are made up of atoms. Our material bodies harbor intelligence, so why couldn't our energy auras harbor intelligence too? Einstein says that E=MC2, energy can be converted into matter and matter can be converted into energy. So it would seem logical that energy can be transformed from our material bodies into an energy aura. Our own material existence is baffling, but here we are, we exist. If we exist, why can’t ghosts exist? The existence of ghosts would appear logical.

One more time: Information Just in on the House of Nightmares:
Wow! I thought this House of Nightmares story was ended for now, but got this late night email from one of my investigators, here is what David Mace says in his own words:

An interesting ending to the investigation. I got home at about 12:15 AM. I walked in the door and started to take my shoes off when my home phone rang. No one was there. I looked at my cell phone and noticed that it had called my home phone. No big deal, I obviously hit a speed dial button while taking off my shoes. I put on my robe, put my phone on my dresser and went out to check the TV. About three minutes later my home phone rang again. I answered it and no one was there again. I went back into the bedroom and sure enough, laying on the dresser was my cell phone dialed up to my home. My cell phone does not have an automatic redial option. My wife was laying in bed and she said she heard the cellphone beep just before the house phone range. This time I turned my cell phone off. I have no idea how that happened. Perhaps someone wanted me to know that my cell phone tower theory wasn't correct. Have a good evening.

Saga of the Demon Warrior: The Process Church of the Final Judgment

That's me standing off in the corner of the Catholic Church gathering holy water that is strategically placed inside the big doors of the church. I am wearing a black trenchcoat, black turtle neck, black slacks and shoes, large silver crucifix dangling from my neck and I am wearing sunglasses. Let me introduce myself, I am Paul Dale Roberts aka The Demon Warrior.

If I get a call in regard to a demon possession or a demonic haunting, I won't turn it down. Some of my fellow paranormal investigators call me a demon hunter, demonologist or like I said above, a demon warrior. I won't turn down the challenge. There was a call I received from two ladies from Lathrop (not the real city, because I don't want to identify the city in which they are from, in case they are reading this article). Their claim was that they had a demon in their home. A demon that would appear as either a large dark shadow, a black mist or black smoke. One of the ladies claimed the demon was having a sexual liaison with her and that it would happen late at night, usually around 3:00 a.m.

The ladies that lived in this old home were roommates, the older woman was living with her 28 year old god-daughter. They lived in a home with 8 parrots. Both claimed they had teeth marks on their chest area and inner thighs. The teeth marks were bites from the demon, claimed the older woman. With laptop, holy water, crucifix, rosary beads, Bible, digital camera, video camera and digital audio recorder in tow, I went to investigate and prepare my interview with the two ladies.

The older lady said she once lived on Haight Street and was once a member of The Process Church of Final Judgment and for a while participated in rituals with members of The Process Church of Final Judgment and also with the Church of Satan. She feels she has a demon that followed her throughout her life from the time that she participated in these rituals.

As I interviewed both ladies, they were not shy in showing me the bite marks on their chest area and inner thighs. Both started drinking Vodka straight and continued with their stories. I learned that they both played around with a Ouija Board and Tarot cards. As I continued the interview process and the more they drank, it appeared that both women's facial expressions were changing. From a good natured calm look, to a more sinister look. The soft spoken voices, now became abrasive and loud.

Both told me that they had visions of killing men. They described taking a baseball bat and bashing a guy's brains outs. They both told me how they were abused by men. As they talked, I thought to myself that they probably gave each other the bite marks and that they may have a lover's tryst between them. The god-daughter of the older woman started playing around with a baseball bat in the living room. I became nervous and agitated as I wrote their stories on my laptop. I knew it was time to go, or I could become a victim to these potential serial killers. These women didn't have a demon in their house, they are possessed by demons or completely mentally disturbed. The older woman continued with her visions and explained to me that she has seen herself stab a man in the stomach as his intestines rolled out. I closed my laptop and told them that they had a great story and I was going to make sure it was published. I told them that I would bless the home the next day. They were reluctant in seeing me go, but I knew I had better leave, I felt my life was now in danger.

When I got home that night, I killed the story. A few weeks afterwards, the ladies of this home called me and emailed me and asked why I didn't publish their story. I felt the story was very sick and that they needed either some serious psychological help or they needed the assistance of a priest. I felt both women were evil incarnated.

They were both very angry at me for not publishing their morbid tale. As I think back, this older woman may have been connected to David Richard Berkowitz the Son of Sam, or also known as the .44 Caliber Killer and Charles Manson. How? It is rumored that Charles Manson when released from prison went to Haight Street and encountered members of The Process Church of Final Judgment. Robert & Mary Anne DeGrimston, former Scientologists founded this Church that lead towards Satanism. Robert & Mary Anne and Charles Manson all lived on Cole Street, but there is a confusing time lapse to when Charles lived on that street and if it coincided to the time Robert and Mary Anne lived on the same street. Could Charles really have met Robert and Mary Anne in San Francisco? It is also thought that members of this same Church were in New York and participated in rituals with the Son of Sam.

As we all know the Son of Sam killed 6 people and wounded 7 others during a reign of terror from 1976 to 1977. Son of Sam thought messages were being related to him by a demon dog named Sam. Sam was actually his neighbor's dog. Son of Sam who most likely was possessed by a demon during his activity in Satanic rituals went on a murder rampage that left Carl Denaro, age 25 and Rosemary Kennan, age 38 dead in their car. Carl & Rosemary were in a secluded area in Flushing, Queen when they were viciously attacked. When their car windows exploded, they met the face of death.

Two more victims, Donna Lauria and Jody Valenti were parked outside of their apartment and were discussing the fun they had at the Peachtree (a New Rochelle discotheque) when they were shot by the madman known as Berkowitz. Luckily Valenti survived and was able to describe to the police her attacker. Son of Sam continued to kill others until he was finally apprehended by the police. A parking ticket on his car, lead to his arrest.

If The Process Church of the Final Judgment created monsters like Charles Manson and the Son of Sam, then most likely the monsters were in these two ladies from Lathrop. With Demonology there is a lot of gray area on what could be mental health issues or what could be true demon possession. Perhaps there is a fine line between both, but what I can tell you is that my encounter with these two diabolical women still gives me goosebumps. This was a time the Demon Warrior was actually scared, I will be much more prepared the next time around.

If you are a paranormal investigator, tread lightly when investigating demonic activity. Ghosts are nothing to worry about. It's evil people that you must be concerned about.
On a lighter note, on December 26, 2008, Friday, HPI held their CWASK (Conversation with a Serial Killer) Premiere at Vegas in Old Sacramento. Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe and Paul Dale Roberts gave Laura Miller, Bryan Coleman, Natalee Black, Carol Gillis, Dianne Davis, The Bree aka An American Werewolf in Fremont, Chantal Apodaca, Cherry, Rita Reyes and others a ghostly tour of Old Sacramento. The highlights were Fulton Underground Restaurant in which a ghostly couple in old fashioned clothing are seen dining; La Llorona legend that has taken place at the Sacramento River. This is an urban legend that reaches out to Mexico, parts of Texas and even here in California. The story is of a crying mother that takes her two babies into the river and drowns them. Her ghost is supposed to haunt areas of rivers and lakes and she is known to grab the feet of a swimmer and take them under. This legend may have started by the Hispanic community to keep their children from swimming in deep water. I explained to them about the campers along the Sacramento River that saw a shaggy fisherman that walked up to their camp and asked if they caught any fish. When the fishermen campers left their camp and were on the road, the shaggy fisherman was standing in the middle of the road, they swerved to avoid hitting him and when they looked back he vanished. As we continued on, we explained the ghostly activities of the Delta King, the Railroad Museum, Evangelines, how the 2nd Disco King Steve Vestneys in the 70s danced on top of the Sacramento River bridge tower with his disco queen, the little school where HPI took a ghostly photo that looked like a crab. What is funny is that Joe's Crab Shack is behind the old school. At the old school, the swings will move back and forth on their own, as if children were swinging on the swings. Then we ended the tour by taking them to Fanny Anns and explained how Wild Pete Dirkman caught his saloon girl fiancee at the bar with another man, walked up the steps and shot his fiancee Angie. Angie is sometimes seen walking sadly in this area and vanishes into a wall. After the tour was finished, we headed back to the very haunted Vegas to watch Conversation with a Serial Killer: Richard Trenton Chase, in which Shannon McCabe, Paul Dale Roberts, Chris Grissom, Jennifer Baca and Holly DeLaughter of HPI make their TV debut. After the premiere, Shannon put on some disco music and we boogied into the night. Special Note: We captured some ghostly ectoplasm in a photograph at Vegas, see information about this photo below and see the photo! One more added note: The Bree, a self-proclaimed werewolf got into a heated debate with Carol Gillis, a self-proclaimed vampire. It was werewolf vs. vampire at the premiere! Hammer Films would of loved this!

The Angela Fellines Story: A Metaphysical Journey

The cosmic chessboard of fate compelled me to walk my dogs HPI (Hi-Pee) and Pika down the street. As I was approaching one area of my street, I saw a lovely woman getting things out of her vehicle. I saw that sign and said what the heck, with the workouts I do at the gym, I might need a massage one day, maybe I should ask her for a business card. I introduced myself to Angela and with a radiant smile, she told me the types of massages that she does. Massages that open the minds to her clients and take them into a metaphysical journey towards calm and peace. A metaphysical world that has connections to other realms. As a ghosthunter, I identified the realms as something mystical and paranormal. Yes, something I would be interested in.

I made plans with Angela to write her story. The day has come where I would now go to Angela’s home and get an out-of-ordinary massage. Angela has a peaceful calming effect when talking. She places you at extreme ease. As I lay down on the massage table, Angela’s soothing hands gently began to center me as she placed essential rose oil onto my body. Not only did I feel a flesh-to-flesh connection, but it appeared that our souls were reaching out and touching. Angela placed me in calm with her soothing touch, she told me that she was clearing her mind, centering towards nothingness and setting up her connection with me. Some of the experiences of this first phase of my massage, were the energetics touch, which works with aura, energy fields and meridians in my body. The energetic touch on my feet, re-sets the organs in my body. She flushed my lymph system, reset my immune system, released toxins from my tissues all through the power of a basic therapeutic massage. She also uses various basic methods such as: pettrisage, effleurage, tapotement and kneading. When she finished her basic therapeutic massage with me, I noticed I felt like I was in a different state of mind. She wasn’t finished, she then brought out a series of quartz crystal bowls that she strategically placed on various parts of my body. She would then allow the bowls to vibrate with a reverberating sound that resonated throughout my whole body. The sound vibrations also connect to the core sounds of the universe. What I think I am saying is that it is connecting the energy of my body and soul to the deluxe magnitude of the universe in whole.

Now let me tell you what I was experiencing and I must say that it was of a paranormal nature. As Angela walked around my body, centering my energy and placing close vibrations from the palms of her hands to my aura, I actually felt a presence near my right leg. Angela was at my head area, but yet I could feel someone at the area of my right leg. Then I felt a distinct hand placed on my right leg. Angela was busy using both hands on my shoulder area and there was no way that she could have placed an outstretched hand on my right leg. So, who was touching my right leg? It was a touch of reassurance, of comfort. Then as the session continued, I felt a ripping of my aura from my mortal form. A vibration was lifting my aura from my body. I became fearful of this new unknown experience and my aura fell back into my body and a calmness came over me. Angela has a power, in which she uses her mind, her touch and her inner calmness to bring out a positive force in any of her clients. She has a gift and she knows how to use it in a way, I must call ‘angelic’. I ask myself, did her touch allow me to experience partial astral projection? I sit here and now ponder this thought. This was truly an incredible experience.

But asking Angela, she does not take credit for this power, she explains this is a power from a higher source. A power that taps into the universal properties that makes up you, me and everyone in this world.

Some of the things that Angela expressed to me were these important facts in her life:

a) You are more than your physical body,

b) Your intentions are set in motion by you, you are your own existence, you must probe for your inner truth, step out of your story and be part of all levels of existence and connecting fully with the universe,

c) Unconditional love, acceptance of all expressions of life is the key, forgiveness when it becomes apparent, not holding back our positive nature, die to the past every moment – good or bad – it is all expression, love is everything. Note: Angela’s expression of die to the past is her explanation that we must continue to move forward and not dwell in the past. Even though the past may have been good or it may have been bad, we must strive to move forward and embrace life as it comes…

d) Angela uses a word frequently, she says ‘story’. Story is defined as: minds taking control and playing tricks on you. Story is the world of mind, it’s not real. Story catapults you into the past or into the future, but it doesn’t allow you to experience life as the way it was intended for you. It is important to step out of story, step into the now and become one with what is,

To conclude this article, I will allow Angela to explain in her own words on what we should expect in life, what we should expect as being part of this magnificent universe, what we should expect in our every day surroundings, how we can prosper from this majestic experience.

‘You’ are the source, perfect and whole, happy, healthy and one with everything, here and now. ‘You’ are master of your mind- know this now, remember and come into the beingness that you are. ‘Your’ self connects with Higher Self, Core Self. Let go and turn your mind over to the intention of all that is, which is you! When thinking of the ‘my’ self, as in myself, be only forgiveness, unconditional acceptance. The ‘me’ of self functions only in pure happiness. Move through your journey in happiness. Remember, happiness is not about the end destination; what you get- rather, it is the attitude you express with ease as you encounter each moment. Know that the ‘I’ of your experience is untouched by this world. ‘I’ cannot be hurt, killed, saddened, wronged, etc., it is all expression and a story of earth life. I only experience existence and cannot get it wrong. Be kind to yourself, be truthful, and stop beating yourself up. Keep your thoughts centered and now – for there is no “time out” in creation. Remember and stop all your confusion. There is nothing to attain or do or accomplish, but to come into the now and flow with the love and creation of life, existence itself. Detach and become witness to every movement of the form of life. Which, as you know by now, is ‘you’! May you connect with intention and be one with all levels of self. Love, light, and the highest vibrations in all you are.

I have never been to Iceland, but I have flown over this beautiful country on my way to England. I have always wondered why so many people of this country believe that there are little people living on their island.

In Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, road workers are weary of blasting out any kind of foundation for a roadbed. They are honestly scared they may disturb the little folks.

With boiling geysers, wind-blasted precipices, frozen barrens and razor-sharp lava rock, this is not what hinders construction workers. They are actually more concerned about the dwelling places of the little people.

Why are Icelanders so adamant that their land is inhabited by Iceland elves? Why would they go through the process of re-routing roads to avoid the lairs of these little creatures?

There was one time that they were laying down the foundation for their first shopping mall and the people were very concerned that the electrical cables and underground installations may disrupt the abodes of gnomes and fairies.

Icelanders believe that the land is populated with elves, gnomes, trolls, light-fairies, lovelings and a unique species called "huldufolk," or hidden people. It is rumored that at one time, some of the little people were known to steal children.
The tales of little people go back to the late ninth century AD when the Vikings of Norway and some Gaels from the British islands came to settle this land.

Some Icelanders theorize that these elementals may be inhabiting the same space of Iceland, but on a parallel dimension. They are able to step from their world into our world via a gateway between dimensions. It appears that the little people do not seek out any harm with humans and have been known to invite humans to their cliff dwellings for pancakes.

We can look at this as people with over active imaginations, but I find it odd that the little people of Iceland were once known to steal children. How similar those stories are to stories told by alien abductees who claim that they were impregnated on a UFO vessel and later the fetus is removed. The alien abductee’s doctors are baffled and claim the phenomenon as a false pregnancy.

So are UFOs seen in Iceland? The answer is yes. UFOs are seen all over Iceland and around the Arctic. On March 29, 2003 in Lyngdalsheidi, a man takes a picture of 2 snow mobiles moving away from him. When the photo is developed there is a clear picture of a UFO in the sky near the snow mobiles. There are stories that Icelanders will place food out for the small creatures of the glaciers, especially the Snaefellsjokull glacier. They describe the little people as having gray skin. Here is a direct connection for little people and the infamous ‘grays’.

A naval source recently in Iceland witnessed 3 large UFOs over Iceland, while Icelandic fisherman describe UFOs coming in and out of the surrounding waters.

Many UFO sightings are centered in the Langeness Fjord area of Iceland and of course there are many sightings by pilots of Icelandic Airlines.

What I believe is that there is a UFO base near and around the landscape of Iceland and it probably has been there since the beginning of time. This is why there are so many stories about little people inhabiting this island. Iceland is a hotbed of UFO activity and little people are actually aliens that Icelanders are seeing.

When people see fairy circles, are they actually UFO landing spots? When people say that they encounter a fairy, sometimes the fairy will point a wand and they will be temporarily paralyzed. Would this actually be an immobilizing weapon used by the Grays? There are too many similarities between Grays and the little people of Iceland. I believe the Grays and the little people of Iceland are one and the same. But, that is my opinion.

It’s not Friday the 13th, but it is December 13, 2008, Saturday and it’s a big full moon.
Renee Martine and Face of Off-the-Hook TV meet me at my house and we head over in Renee’s car to 1002 N. Pershing Street, Stockton, California. We have a scouting mission at this legendary home. The reason why it is legendary is because it has a reputation as being the most haunted home in Stockton. Note: There is going to be a further investigation after this scouting mission with Ghost Girls Legendary Celebrity Psychic Nancy Bradley and Shannon McCabe – Ghosthunter Extraordinaire. Of course the investigative team of Robert Reppert, Bob King, Paul Dale Roberts and Jennifer Baca will be there.

Special Note: Jennifer Baca in her new 2008 Chevy Silverado monster truck affectionately nicknamed The Lethal Injection took Shannon & me to The Dirty Twig Show in Placerville this December 11, 2008, Thursday. During this segment that is broadcast internationally over the Internet we discussed Ghost Girls and the upcoming investigation in Stockton. Sorry about that, sometimes I get side-tracked on other subjects, let me get back in focus. Please allow me to tell you why the home in Stockton is reputed to be the most haunted home in Stockton:

Legend has it that a man that was jilted by his fiancée hung himself in one of the bedroom closets. Another legend is a small child tied up in the basement was left to starve to death. Other legends are that people walking past the house at dusk will see a small child looking out through the attic window and occupants will only live at this home for a duration of 6 months and move out due to the paranormal activities of this home.

Tonight we will be seeking the answers if this home is haunted and why there are so many stories told of this mysterious home that looks like something of a medieval castle and a German hillside cottage.

As Renee drives Face and I down I-5, I had Renee make a quick stop at a local gas station. Lord and behold, there is Fox 40 TV news crew at this location. I introduce myself to Rowena Lugtu-Shaddox and tell her about the investigation. She is excited and tells me that she will send over a news crew later to watch our investigation.

Getting back on I-5 and finally arrive at our destination, I find my HPI scouts waiting for me, they are: Eileen A. Verhulst, Donna Jackson, David Hirschman, Adriane D. Mendez-Herrera, Amber Cordero, Soni Carbonel, Cynthia M. During this investigation I gave everyone a briefing about the legends of this house. I explained that there would be 3 teams. The 3 team captains I selected were David Hirschman, Laura Miller and Renee Martine. Each team would investigate certain areas of this home. A duration of 45 minutes would be spent at each location. After 45 minutes are up, we would all come together to the front living room of the house and have a briefing on the findings. We would share photographic evidence, EVPs and have our chance to talk about our findings. After the briefing and analyzing the evidence, the teams would go into new areas of the house to continue their investigation. There would be 3 shifts total with 3 briefings to share evidence.

I also conducted an experiment having non-sensitives conduct a free-for-all investigation of roaming the house to gather evidence, while the sensitives would conduct their own investigation in certain areas of the house, not having any communication between the sensitives to see if their experiences coincided with other sensitives. I would later bring in Bobbie Lawson/owner to ask questions that only she knew the answer and if there are any entities in the house, the entities should know the answer. There were some conflicts with the answers and my final conclusion with this experiment was ‘inconclusive’. The sensitives used the pendulum method of obtaining answers.

Fox 40 TV Crew showed up and I briefed them about the home and had Bobbie Lawson brief them about the home. I took the Fox 40 Crew into the backroom and showed them the McCabe EVP Method of obtaining EVPs. A method utilized by Shannon McCabe (President of HPI). A quick and dirty way of obtaining EVPs, by simply asking a simple question. “Is there anyone here?” Pause, allowing the entity to respond and playing back immediately. After 4 tries, the 4th try was successful. I asked “Is there anyone here?” I received an EVP that was distinct and clear, it was a man’s voice. Want to know what he said? Then watch the Fox 40 episode of this investigation and find out. Yep! I am a booger! What was so nice about this EVP is that it was caught while cameras were rolling! Using the McCabe EVP Method, you don’t have to let your recorder run all night to get an answer. If you ask someone their name, why would they wait 4 hours to say their name? Ghosts, once being people should be able to answer you immediately. Use the McCabe EVP Method, you will like the results.

Next we conducted a séance in this very same room. As the lead investigator, I commenced the start-up of this séance with a hedge-of-protection prayer. I asked the entity to gather the energy from us and show us a sign. I asked the entity to move the chain hanging from the bedroom lamp. While Fox 40 cameras were rolling, the chain moved! John and Howard of Fox 40 were skeptical, but left this home as witnesses to the paranormal, or something they can’t explain with logical reason.

FINDINGS:
1. Face had a recorder in his hand and it literally jumped out of his hand, went into an arch and landed smack dab in front of a group sitting in a circle. Face was shakened from this experience. A multitude of witnesses saw the recorder leap from his hand and go up into a high arch before landing on the floor.
2. EVP obtained of a whistling noise.
3. EVPs in which a man is saying ‘no’, that he does not want to go into the light, or that he does not like being at this home.
4. Door knob falls out of door by itself. Some witnesses involved.
5. Group of scouts using pendulum for communication hear a man sigh next to two female scouts.
6. EVP in which the answer is ‘slowly’. Again a man’s voice.
7. Basketball and teddy bear move across the room, witnessed by about 5 scouts.
8. EVP of man saying ‘Ray’, when asked what his name is.
9. EVP that sounds like Simon and the Chipmunks.
10. Woman screaming is heard. People inside thought scream came from outside. People outside thought the scream came from inside.
11. Kitchen cabinets in photograph are shown closed, later all kitchen cabinets are found open. No one makes claim of opening cabinets.
12. K2 meter lights up several times, no apparent cause.
13. During séance, chain from lamp moves on it’s own accord. Fox 40 videographer captures movement.
14. 4 people in séance feel hotness on their faces.
15. Scouts feel cold spots throughout house.
16. Some scouts feel nauseated.
17. One scout feels pain at the back base of her spinal column.
18. Photographs of orbs and strange light anomalies are taken. Inconclusive photographic evidence.

Equipment Used: Multitude of video cameras, digital cameras, digital audio recorders, tape recorders, night vision video and still cameras, flashlights, pendulums, Nancy Bradley – ectoplasm dipped dowsing rods, EMF Readers, temperature gauges, K2 meters.

With all the EVPs that we gathered this night and with no explanation on how the chain moved on its own accord from the lamp during a séance, I must say that there is some unusual activity in this house. There was no breeze that caused that chain to move. There were no unusual vibrations in the house that could have caused the chain to move. We will continue to analyze the evidence and I will update you with the results. This investigation ended at 0300 hours Sunday. My scouts were exhausted after this scouting mission and on my final meeting with everyone, I went over all the evidence we collected and then did a protection prayer to finalize this eventful night. Back in the 70s, I did a Sociology report for college. The report was about certain cults that existed in America. What better way to do that was to go undercover to various cult churches and talk with the cult members one-on-one. I actually investigated the Hare Krishna in San Francisco, Peoples’ Temple in San Francisco, The Church of Satan in San Francisco and the Church of Scientology in Sacramento. I will detail my past findings about these groups, after you get to read Shannon McCabe and my interview with ex-Mormon Trisha Stevens. Shannon and I, became 'cultologists' for this interview, take it away Cultologist Shannon McCabe!

Shannon: How did you get involved with the Mormon Church?

Trisha: When I was 11 years old, my mother married a man who was a bit of a lowlife. He was a Mormon by baptism, but didn’t practice. When he lost all of his money to gambling and cocaine abuse, he turned to the Church for help. The Church sent missionaries to our home to teach us the ways of the Mormons. After an eternity of teachings, my mother and I were baptized as Mormons, I was 11 years old at the time.

Paul: Would you say that the teachings at the Mormon Church were similar to teachings you received at school?

Trisha: No! Sister Meriam Thomas, my Sunday school teacher, told me not to listen to my science teacher, because they were trying to derail the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Shannon: Could you elaborate?

Trisha: My Sunday school teacher told me that some of the science that we hear about in school was made up by Satan. I asked her about the dinosaurs I saw in the museum and she told me they were put there by Satan.

Shannon: How long were you a Mormon?

Trisha: 2 years.

Paul: Why didn’t you stay longer as a Mormon?

Trisha: My mother and I didn’t understand what they were trying to teach us; because it went against everything we knew. Once my mother caught my stepfather being a peeping tom, breaking into women’s houses and stealing their panties, their relationship was over and so was our relationship with the Mormon Church.

Shannon: I understand that Mormons stockpile food, why do they do this?

Trisha: Yes, they stockpile food for the end-of-world or a catastrophe. What I didn’t understand, is that they will refuse to feed a neighbor that is not Mormon, even if they are starving.
Paul: Looking back at this, do you feel the Mormons do things that are not of the norm?

Trisha: Definitely, their family ideals and moral values are very good, but I cannot believe in something that goes against science.

Shannon: Do you ever feel like you were being brainwashed?

Trisha: By their constant preaching of don’t believe in science. How I was told that dinosaur bones in museums are fake, that you MUST give ten percent to the Church and don’t associate with people that are not Mormon as they will lead you astray.

Paul: Why do you feel the Mormons are a cult?

Trisha: Because they try to warp your mind and have you believe in their way of thinking. Really, how can I believe in some tablets that were talked about by Joseph Smith? These tablets are what the entire Mormon religion are based on, and they were never even found!

Shannon: What do you believe in now?

Trisha: M-Theory. Yep! I love science now!

The Mormon Church's Connection to the Paranormal:

In 1823, Joseph Smith said a heavenly being or angel named "Moroni," appeared to him in a vision. Moroni told Smith he was the son of a man named Mormon. Mormon supposingly died in 400 AD. Moroni, told Smith that there were hidden written records on "golden plates" that describe a tribe of lost people who once had a great civilization in America. These plates were conveniently burried just outside the town where Smith lived. But they were written in an unknown language Smith called "Reformed Egyptian." Moroni instructed Smith to use two special peep stones to look through, which would enable him to translate the plates. Smith said he uncovered the golden plates, translated them with these stones and the end result is now known as the 'Book of Mormon.' And the angel named Moroni is now commemorated as the golden figure perched atop Mormon Temples. The golden plates later vanished, transported to heaven according to Smith. Of course there is no historical evidence that the golden plates or the civilizations recorded in the Book of Mormon ever existed.

That was our interview with Trisha and how she feels about the Mormon Church. When I conducted my undercover investigation of various cults, this is what I discovered:

Church of Satan. It is a requirement to completely read the Satanic Bible and understand the teachings of this Bible. When I told them that I only partially read the Bible, they told me not to come back to the Church until the Satanic Bible was thoroughly read and that they would quiz me later. Their connection to the paranormal: Satan.

Church of Scientology. Instantly they wanted money for various sessions that would teach me the ways of Scientology. There were various levels of Scientology that I needed to learn and everything costs a huge amount of money to learn. They kept doodling on a piece of paper, explaining how a mind gets clouded and that Scientology or Dianetics would uncloud my mind. Everything that was told to me in my first session, I would counteract with the opposite. Finally I was asked to leave the Church and not to come back. I felt the purpose of Scientology was to take their members money, anyway they can and to give allegiance to a science fiction writer named L. Ron Hubbard.

The horror of Scientology is that they appear to be a religion as a cynical ploy to avoid taxes and investigations. They use pyramid schemes in which is a method to sell self improvement courses. The suicide rate for Scientologists is high. I can only wonder why. It was L. Ron Hubbard that once said…"The way to make a million dollars is to start a religion." He knew what he was talking about. Their connection to the paranormal: UFOs.

Hare Krishna: While the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) sets out to have their members abandon their old way of life and live on the street preaching the Krishna way, it has had trouble along the way. Some of their main gurus have landed in prison after allegations of child abuse or member abuse. Brainwashing is set forth through their teachings. Many members have left this cult in disgust after numerous sex and money scandals that their leaders were involved in. Their connection to the paranormal: Mysticism and different states of consciousness.

Peoples’ Temple: The members I interviewed were very disenchanted with the Church. They felt Reverend Jim Jones felt he was the Messiah, that he wanted control and ultimate power from his followers. We all know the legacy of the Peoples’ Temple. A legacy of death, of mass suicide. There connection to the paranormal: Reverend Jim Jones felt he was the messiah.

How do Cults Seek Control?
• A cult teaches that they are right and everyone else is wrong, see Trisha’s comments in her interview about how science is the work of Satan. When the Church told Trisha that science is Satanic, they wanted her to believe this.
• A cult often teaches, that you should never ask questions. They want you to accept their teachings as fact.
• A cult teaches that something negative will happen to you, if their teachings are not followed.
• A cult might ostracize and reject a member who disagrees with the group. That member becomes a social outcast.
• A cult may avoid any person that doesn’t follow their ways, including family members or friends to cult members.
• A cult tries to control its members with strict rules. Example: Who to marry, what to wear, whom to talk to. This way the cult will affect all aspects of a member’s life.
• A cult may try to reduce outside influences, declaring such influences as misleading and are evil temptations.
• A cult may require members to change their name or other identifying characteristics to symbolically reject their former selves.
• A cult may require members to permanently mark their bodies with tattoos or scars to identify themselves as members of the group.
• A cult may require members to abuse themselves or somebody else to prove their devotion. This abuse may take the form of physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, psychological abuse.
• A cult may teach that others are trying to stop them from spreading the truth, creating an us-vs.-them mentality.
Cult leaders may interpret readings through psychic phenomenon, ancient scriptures or their own misinterpretation of the Bible. They will expect their followers to believe all of their teachings.

Since I place my contact information into all of my articles, I get contacted by individuals from all around the world, who make bizarre claims. Let me introduce you to Charles Germaine (Note: Charles is a fictitious name to protect the interviewee). Charles contacted me via cell phone. His claim is that he is no other than the immortal Comte de Saint-Germaine. Yep, I am talking about the one and only immortal Saint Germaine! This is a big claim and I had to meet this guy, he seemed pretty familiar with the legend. The date is December 6, 2008, Saturday. I decided to meet him at Center Court Restaurant, 3600 N. Freeway Blvd. The reason why I picked this restaurant is the fact the Department I work for had their Christmas Luncheon/Party here on Friday night and I had a blast and brought with me Ghost Girl Shannon McCabe. The cheeseburgers and fries are incredibly delicious. After Shannon and I finished off our lunch we played the White Elephant Gift Exchange, Shan won a salad mixer and I won a cheese/sausage package that included a mini-meat cleaver. I later got lucky and won the liquor gift basket filled to the hilt with assorted spirits and a $30.00 VISA gift card. Oh yeah, it was my lucky night, so I figured if I met Charles Germaine at the Center Court, I would get lucky again. My luck would have me actually interviewing the extraordinary real Count Saint Germaine! Well, no such luck.

When Charles came up to the bar at the Center Court, he appeared to be in his late 20s, his ID card confirmed he was 28 and his last name was really Germaine! I knew he was a fraud instantly, because he stood at 6’ 1”. The real Count Germaine was known to be a small man. 6’1” is not considered small. I talked with Charles a bit and he made claim that he has gone through many names and that he was also known as Judas, the man who betrayed Jesus. Another discrepancy with Charles is that when Count Saint Germaine made his first appearance in France in 1756, he appeared to be about 50 years old. Charles here is 28. Does immortality make you younger and grow taller? Hmmm…something doesn’t smell right here. I asked Charles if he knew anything about medical science and what he knew of music and paintings. Charles ignored my question and told me that he was once friends with Madame de Pompadour (mistress of Louis XV). I again asked Charles about what he knew about medical science. He said he knew enough and would not elaborate. I then at this time shook Charles hand and excused myself and departed. Charles was somewhat surprised and shocked that I didn’t want to hear anymore of his story. I usually will stick around and listen to a story and relate it to my readers and allow them to make their own decisions on what is true or what is not true. But, there were too many obscene discrepancies. The two that stood out was his height and his age. I should have been talking with a small man that looked to be in his fifties and not a tall man that was in his late 20s.

Comte de Saint-Germaine, probably not his real name, spoke many languages; he was very familiar with medicine and was known to be a chemist. He was known to wear black velvet and a white satin cravat. He was quite the conversationist and would entertain a group of people with his wondrous adventurous stories. He was known to be pompous and arrogant. When he walked into a room, he commanded attention. He had to be wealthy, because he was seen with servants and wore many diamonds. He would have made Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs blink. He definitely liked his ‘bling’. He was known to contradict himself, at times he would say he was 300 years old and other times, he said he was 4000 years old. He could identify paintings with a glance. His popularity skyrocketed when he once saved a lady from mushroom poisoning. Count Saint-Germaine’s life was as adventurous as the life of James Bond, he was able to charm the ladies, and others became envious of his good fortune and conspired to have him arrested as a spy. Count Saint-Germaine had an ace up his sleeve, he had important connections. One of those connections was King Louis, who trusted Germaine and sent Germaine over to Holland as a diplomat. One living legend that didn’t like Germaine was Casanova, who would try to discredit him later in life. Legend would have it that Germaine was involved in the Russo-Turkish War of 1768-74 and claims were heard throughout the land that Germaine could transform lead into gold swept through the land. The sightings of Count Saint-Germaine continued for many years, all the way up to 1972, when an individual by the name of Richard Chanfray appeared on French TV and made claim that he was the real Count Saint-Germaine.

Unless an immortal has the ability to transform their appearances, Charles Germaine that I met at Center Court was not the real Count Saint-Germaine. Of course, I am not immortal and maybe, just maybe I walked away from the legendary Count Saint-Germaine. Well if I did…….my bad.

Now, let me talk about other paranormal matters.

I have been told that orbs are not paranormal, that they are either dust, pollen, skin flakes, or moisture. I absolutely agree, see Troy Taylor’s article below:

Now, that you have read Troy’s article, you can see why it is important to prove the orb is paranormal in nature. How do you do that? With a video camera and monitor. Sit yourself on a chair; tell the moving orb to sit on your lap. In one case we had the orb actually hover over my lap for a good 5 minutes. Another time, we told the orbs to move towards Shannon McCabe’s outstretched hands and a series of orbs started darting towards Shannon’s hand several times over. This shows some sign of intelligence and is hard to discount as mere skin flakes that caught the reflection of the camera’s flash.

I have been reminded by a reader that high EMF readings may cause the occupant of a haunted home to have delusional thoughts and paranoia. Case example, a haunted home has a toxicology report done on the land. The land is contaminated with various toxins. These toxins may have brought on neurological issues, paranoia and hallucinations.

The same reader provided this information via email, in his own words:

”This theory is also backed up by scientific studies involving the number of reports of paranormal activity in conjunction with EMF’s. One such study was done by Dr. Michael Persinger, Professor of Psychology at Laurentian University, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Persinger was inspired to conduct his study based on a previous study that he was involved with. In this previous study, Dr. Persinger compared thirty seven years of haunting incidents reported in Fate magazine to geometric activity occurring on the same dates as the reported incidents. He found enough correlation between the two that he began his own study in order to further develop this theory.

In his own study he was able to duplicate similar incidents of paranormal activity by bombarding the subject’s temporal lobes with elevated electro-magnetic energy. Through his experiments he was able to prove that increased EMF exposure—even short term—can cause frontal-lobe hallucinations. Some of the reported effects of being exposed to higher-than-normal electro-magnetic energy were very similar to those of paranormal activity. The study participants reported feelings of a presence in the room, being watched, fear and general paranoia, seeing blurry dark figures out of the corners of their eyes, and hearing unexplained noises. This of course does not prove that all paranormal phenomena are caused by EMF’s, but it does prove that higher-than-normal EMF’s can produce similar effects on subjects in a laboratory, which is a big deal when it comes to science.”

How interesting that I would receive this information, because the O.S.I.R. (Office of Scientific Investigation) was actually an environmental research organization and due to their environmental research, it lead into the paranormal. The OSIR sought out answers by looking into conventional environment solutions when investigating paranormal cases. On many investigations, when I interview the occupants, they tell me how they see darting black figures via their peripheral vision. A few of those cases, there was indication of high EMF readings. So, this theory does sound like it has some substance to it.

I totally agree with the reader, that a sound thorough completed investigation would include toxicology reports and concise EMF readings. Plus, investigators should never, never jump to the conclusion that all orbs are paranormal in nature. When you are able to show that you are getting intelligence responses from orb activity, then just maybe you have something that is truly considered ‘paranormal’.

Date: November 29, 2008, Saturday.

On this day it’s time to have a scouting mission. A scouting mission consists of many paranormal investigators and ghosthunters-in-training. We would meet up at Starbucks at 15th and Broadway in Sacramento for the briefing of what they may find at these two locations. I had Shannon talk about the McCabe Method of gathering EVPs, we took our historical group shot and the signing off of release forms.

Paranormal Investigative Scouts attending this event were: Laura Miller, Chantal Apodaca, Rita Reyes, Bryan Coleman/Videographer, Natalee, Karen Mace, Dave Mace, Tim Hawkins, Shannon McCabe, Christine B./Hostess of Paranormal Radio KFOK, Rob Hays, John Shue, Tanya Curtis, Christina George, Kristen Sheley, David Hirschman, Valerie Rankin and some other scouts. Lead Investigator: Paul Dale Roberts.

Our first stop was the Esquire Imax Theater, in which the manager Wendy Russell gave us the grand tour of this beautiful theater. A place filled with history, the murder of Jim ‘Spats’ Pantages/local musician who was killed in front of this theater. Grace, a small girl entity, along with a small boy that rides a tricycle also haunts this theater. Since, I have already written about this theater, I will not get into too many details. We came to this theater to investigate and later in this article you will see what we found.

After the Imax Theater, we went to a private residence in Natomas. A place I call ‘The De La Rosa Residence’. We know this place is haunted, due to the fact we have investigated this home two times before and acquired EVPs and photographic anomalies that we can’t explain rationally. When we arrived at the De La Rosa Residence, the occupant Gina De La Rosa greeted everyone cheerfully. After our investigation of both locations, I interviewed everyone separately and this is what they had to say:

Karen Mace: “Paul, my EMF reader went off, when someone was talking about their father haunting this home (De La Rosa Residence). The lights went out on my reader. When Valerie (another scout/proclaimed psychic) talked about how Gina’s father may haunt this home and how he looks, the reader went off again. I used my temperature gauge and the temperature was fluxuating from 74 to 64 degrees.”

Laura Miller: “I took a photograph of a possible full body apparition in the kitchen.” Note: I had all investigators look at the photo for their opinion and everyone agreed the photo was odd. Then I had all my investigators try to replicate the photo with their cameras. The photo is now being analyzed. “I took many photos in which orbs appeared. I felt a male entity in the living room and back bedroom. In the living room he felt carefree. In the bedroom he felt confused. I feel he had an air of machismo; there is a lot of sexual energy. I would say he was 5/8”, slender, Hispanic or Italian, dark piercing eyes, good looking. I tasted alcohol in which I associate with the male entity. He appeared to be 45. When I went into the bedroom, I felt an electrical charge from head to toe, my skin was crawling, it was intense and I had to leave the room.”

Tanya Curtis: “I got some orb pictures in the bedroom and hallway. EMF Reader and K2 Meter both went off at the same time. A sensitive was talking to the resident and they both went off at the same time. Valerie detected something over the pig knick knack and when I took a picture I got an orb instantly. At the Imax, I got some orb shots.”

Dave Hirshman: “I got some orb shots at the De La Rosa Residence and Imax. The equipment I brought was: EMF Reader, K2 Meter, Infrared laser thermometer, digital still and movie cameras, multiple flashlights, digital audio recorder.” Note: Dave is quite the character, he actually has a belt with multiple pockets in which he carries all of his ghosthunting equipment. It looks like a utility belt out of Batman, the movie! Talk about being prepared!

Christina George: “When I walked into De La Rosa residence, I felt sadness. The temperature would change in one of the bedrooms, from hot to cold. I didn’t feel anything at the Imax.”

John Shue: “At Imax I smelled roses, I felt dizzy and lightheaded.” At De La Rosa Residence I used my camcorder and I think I may have actually seen a full body apparition.”

David Mace: “ I will be reviewing my audio recorder. I may have heard whispers in the kitchen using my sound enhancer. I may have gotten an EVP in one of the bedrooms, it sounded like a loud sliding noise. I brought with me: DS 30 Olympus digital recorder with bose headphones, Canon Rebel XT digital camera and X2 and two different EMF Readers.”

Rita Reyes: “At the Imax, I felt lightheaded, I felt a heaviness in my chest, and I felt nauseated. When I went downstairs, I felt fine. At the De La Rosa Residence, I went into one room and briefly felt a headache and a heaviness in my chest. In the front yard, I felt warmth, even though it is a cold day. The warmth started from the bottom of my leg and went into the inner part of my leg.”

Chantal Apodaca: “At the Imax, I felt nothing at the first level. When I went into the office, I felt unbalanced; I felt vibrations where a vortex was. At times I felt like I was on a rocking boat. At the De La Rosa residence, I felt the presence of 2 entities. I felt the strong presence of a Hispanic man with mustache, dark hair and dark eyes. I also felt the presence of an elderly woman in a black flower dress. She appeared overweight and she appeared to enjoy cooking, making tortillas.”

Bryan Coleman: “I got some unusual spikes with my EMF Reader at the Imax.”

Valerie Rankin: “At the Imax, I felt nothing. At the De La Rosa residence, I picked up on Gina’s grandmother. I felt residual anger from her father. I also felt sexual energy from that resonated from her father. There appeared to be discord with Gina’s father and grandmother. I sensed some orb activity with my eyes.” Note: Valerie describes Gina’s father and grandmother and Gina says the descriptions are accurate. Laura and Chantal picked up similar descriptions.

Interesting Mentions:
a) Rob Hays detects my aura during my briefing and saw my aura change to a multitude of colors. He tells Christina B, this is very rare. Rob worked as a medic and saved a few lives, because he can see auras that give tell tale signs of dire circumstances.
b) Two vortexes are pin pointed at the Imax by Nancy Bradley – Celebrity Psychic at a previous Ghost Girls investigation. Wendy Russell points out where the vortexes are located and some scouts felt a feeling of swirling vertigo.
c) After I was leaving the Imax Parking Garage and paying my $10.00 to get out, a security guard sees my HPI sign on my car the Ghost Tracker. He stops me and tells me that the parking garage is haunted and that an entity once walked right through him.
d) During our tour of the Imax, we were able to pause and get a glimpse of the new release ‘Eagle Eye’. Yep, looks like a good movie, I am going to see it!

Disclaimer: As a reporter, I am reporting the comments of the scouts. What they feel or observed is not evidence that is supported by HPI or Ghost Girls. No confirmation can be obtained by psychic impressions.

FINDINGS: Psychic impressions that cannot be confirmed on a scientific level. Orb photographs that cannot be determined as paranormal. One possible EVP at the Imax, which sounds like a little boy saying ‘Panda’ acquired by scout John Shue. Further analysis is needed on this EVP.

CONCLUSION: Past investigations at both locations have confirmed there is haunting activity. On this night, the entities were not performing and additional evidence was not obtained.

I ended this evening by driving home to a new CD that Shannon made for me, that had songs like: Dancing in the Sheets - Shalamar, Caribbean Queen - Billy Ocean, Dancing on the Ceiling & All Night Long by Lionel Richie. Even though I was tired, those songs picked me up on the long road home. Thanks Shan!

The Christina Garcia-Barrett Story: The Astral Jumper.

First off, let me tell you about Christina. Christina is a mother of two girls ages 18 and 15. Christina is the youngest child of 4 siblings. She always felt having insight with one of her sisters. Christina always felt connected to her father mentally and spiritually, it was almost like they had telepathy. Christina was born in San Jose and had a series of jobs like working as a medical insurance biller, retail service and owning a business called a Broad and a Broom (cleaning services). She is now a Shift Manager at the Ione Hotel. Her nickname is the red peach as she stands out in a crowd with her flaming red hair.

Christina had many paranormal experiences, they started at the age 14. At this young age, she started seeing silhouettes sitting on her bed and they would talk telepathically with Christina. It appeared that they wanted to protect Christina and her family. When she moved into the San Andreas house a mere 3 years ago, she would see herself as a woman from the 1800s, wearing a flowing dress. She first noticed this while gardening, she knew that she was in another body from another era. Another time, she had a past life regression, in which she was an Indian man running with a herd of deer and being chased by 5 wolves. She feels she is an old soul and has felt these past lives take over her newer vessel.

When she sleeps at night, she astral projects and finds herself flying with owls. In one experience of astral projection, she was able to find the home that she would soon move into, by flying to the city. The city was San Andreas. Another experience she had was flying to Mono Lake. She has never been to Mono Lake, but when she was shown pictures of Mono Lake, she knew she was there, because she astral projected herself to Mono Lake.

She would have odd experiences with numbers. Numbers that would be the same, but be in triple form, such as 777, 222, 333. She knew when this would occur, she knew something was drastically wrong and she would make changes in her life that would rectify the problem. When she was successful in rectifying the problem, the triple digit numbers would stop popping up.

On another incident, Christina came close to death. She actually had a near death experience. When she was giving birth to her first daughter, she was in labor for 2 days and they gave her pain medicine. The doctors did not know she was allergic to morphine, she actually was declared dead and this is when she first astral projected, she floated to the ceiling. At some point of time, an entity started rubbing her back and telling Christina that she needed to go back, she was needed for her children.

When she went back to her body, she had temporary memory loss and had to learn a lot about her life all over again.

Christina embraces her life as an Astral Jumper. She has the gift of going anywhere in the world without a passport. She has the ability to fly. When she is in her astral body, no one can touch her, no one can harm her. She has the power of watching people that are unaware of her presence. She embraces this new power that was given to her during her near-death experience.

Christina has a gift, a power. It was my pleasure meeting Red Peach, the Astral Jumper.

The Turlock Investigation: Return of the Ragmuffin Kid

7pm November 21, 2008, Friday. The cars start pulling up to my house. Paul’s HPI Task Force is ready for the investigation in Turlock. Paranormal Investigators showing up at 7pm are: Tom & Kathy, Mandy Lewis, Renee Martine, Tammy Straling.

The home in Turlock that we will be investigation was formerly owned by Cincinnati Reds Brad Lesley. The occupants that now live in this home are Chris & Tiffany Cameron and their two daughters. Chris’ mother Janice Cameron is my neighbor and she is riding up with me to Turlock. Meeting us in Turlock is independent paranormal investigator/sensitive Valerie Rankin.

The Ghosttracker (my car) has Renee, Janice and Mandy. Tom & Kathy & Tammy are in the other car. It’s a good distance from Sacramento, but we make it and are eager to conduct the investigation. I have written about the ghost of this home, that the Cameron’s have nicknamed the Ragmuffin Kid. The Ragmuffin Kid keeps their daughter up all hours of the night, insisting that she wants to play. The Ragmuffin Kid also wants to know how to play computer games! One of the games the Ragmuffin Kid wants to play is Spongebob. One of the daughters shows us a drawing she has made of the Ragmuffin Kid.

We had the Camerons turn off the lights and as pictures were taken, there were a slew of photographs depicting orb activity. EVPs were also gathered:

Renee asks “do you want to go into the light?” EVP answer – male voice: “Nooooooo.”
Renee asks: “are you afraid of being judged?” EVP answer – male voice: “Ahhhhhh”
Paul asks: “are you here?” EVP answer – male voice: “Yes” (sounds like a whisper).
Paul asks: “what is your name?” EVP answer – male voice: “Mark”.

When one of the investigators asks why don’t you want to go into the light, the closet light turns on by itself.

Certain investigators like Renee, Valerie and Kathy feel they are sensitives and pick up on certain activities around the house. Some of the psychic impressions they received is a Mexican girl named Louisa, a male entity with a small boy and small girl. Or a male entity and no children. Psychic impressions are not a proven science, but it is interesting to see the comparisons of their impressions.

A few of the investigators felt cold spots or felt something breezing by them. Some of the history of this house is that the bedroom door with lock on its own. One night the bedroom door locked on its own accord and locked in their cats.

We used the dowsing rods, and the dowsing rods pointed us into a bedroom where the entity indicated that it was present. Note: Dowsing rods are a pseudo-science and they are only used for experimentation.

David Mace, Paranormal Investigator discovered that there was a 7 year old named Rachel McClure that died in a car accident near the home and she was declared brain dead. There were other auto fatalities near this home.

As the lead investigator I broke up the task force into 3 teams, assuring that in each team we had a digital audio recorder and various cameras. The 3 teams would be dispersed into 3 areas of the home and later switched around.

Equipment used: 4 digital audio recorders, 5 digital cameras, pendulum, dowsing rods, EMF Reader.

FINDINGS:
Numerous digital photos show orb activity. The family has a long history of witnessing paranormal events that could indicate that the entities of this home could have followed them from a previous home. EVPs are recorded.

CONCLUSION:
After analyzing the EVPs, I conclude that this home is truly haunted. Note: I took notes on this investigation and somehow lost my notes. I wrote this article going by memory only. Let’s hope I did an accurate job in recording this investigation. I hate it when I lose my notes!

This was a long investigation and by the time we were finished we were pretty much tired. What we did not know is that on our way back to Sacramento, there would be a heavy fog on the road. We had to drive extremely slow on our trek back. Two of the investigators Tammy & Mandy decided to crash out at my house and wait until the fog lifted. I rather have my investigators in one piece, so they can be ready for the next investigation.

If my Turlock Task Force were to be caught or killed, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of their actions. Just joking, I thought I throw in a little Mission Impossible to this story! Until next time readers, perhaps we will get more than EVPs, maybe I will be able to catch a ghost in a mayonnaise jar and seal the lid as absolute evidence that ghosts exist!

Ghost Girls Tales: Back to the Ione Hotel

It’s going to be a long day. I have to be at Shannon McCabe’s home at 2:30pm and prepare for a full day of doing a Ghost Girl shoot and investigation. At Shannon’s home, waiting for me is Shannon & Natalee Black. Shan carefully drives us to the Ione Hotel where the shooting/investigation will be taking place. The reason why I say ‘carefully’ is because Shan just recently received a speeding ticket and she is not looking for another one. It was nice not to feel the G-Force that forces my face into her side window.

As we arrived to the Ione Hotel, waiting for us were people that wanted readings from Nancy Bradley – Celebrity Psychic. There were some people that were waiting for camera interviews, so they can explain their paranormal experiences at the Ione Hotel.

The Ghost Girls Investigative Team consisted of: Nancy Bradley – Celebrity Psychic/Ghost Girl; Shannon McCabe – Ghosthunter Extraordinaire/Ghost Girl; Jennifer Baca – Ghosthunter/Boom Operator; Bryan Coleman – Videographer; Robert Reppert – Videographer; Bob King – Coordinator/Equipment Specialist; Natalee Black – Coordinator and of course me Paul Dale Roberts/Ghosthunter/Ghostwriter. The owner Mahmood Ghani set up rooms for all of us. Staying in Room 5 is Shannon, Natalee and Jennifer. Room 13 is Robert, Nancy. Room 6 is Bob. Room 1 is Bryan and me.

Of course, being a ghostwriter, I wanted to get my own scoops on this brisk November day (November 22, 2008, Saturday). I conducted my own interviews with patrons of the Twisted Fork Bar. Here are my interviews:

Misty Coulter, Bartender: She witnessed 2 wine glasses flying off the shelves.

Lois Vimini: She actually knew George when he was alive. George is now a famous ghost that haunts the Ione Hotel. Lois first met George at Vim’s Club. George died in his room of unknown causes. Lois will never forget playing pool with George for a dollar and she won that dollar and George signed it, as if he knew he would one day be a local ghost legend.

Christina Garcia-Barrett, Shift Manager: Christina has experienced two little children ghosts that love pulling pranks, by jumping on beds in Room 11, they will also play with the TV. In Room 8 & 13, ghostly children play with the heat. Room 1, sometimes the door will lock on its own. Room 11, toilets will flush on their own, also the plunger will go up and down on its own accord. Room 2, there was a guest that was locked in their room for a long time.

Alexandrea Barrett: Has experienced heater problems in various rooms. In Room 13, she placed new soap into the room, then she left the room no more than 5 minutes and came back to find all the soap gone.

Dianne Reif, Pi Palomo and Linda Zanze: I met these 3 lovely ladies at the bar and they actually asked me all kinds of questions about the paranormal activity at this hotel. They actually plan to stay in various rooms of the hotel, so they can experience the paranormal for themselves.

Rhiannon Mehlhaff, Bartender: She has witnessed glasses and pictures flying off the shelves of the bar on their own accord.

Now one of the most unusual things that happened to me this night is the lady I interviewed Christina Garcia-Barrett approached me and took me outside, before I interviewed her. She told me things that jogged my memory from 14 years ago. Come to find out, this red-head once was a blonde and 14 years ago, we were dating. What a surprise this was and what a small world we live in! Would this be coincidental or paranormal?

After re-meeting Christina, Shan had us all prepare to conduct a séance at the former well, where there is now a large table over the well. At this well, a young 3 year old boy fell in and drowned. During the séance, Shannon says: “Do you like spaghetti?” There is an EVP voice recorded that says ‘yes’.

After the séance, we conducted a full blown investigation. Shannon felt someone touch her hair. Later Nancy felt someone touch her hair. Natalee felt something brush up against the back of her neck. While Jennifer and I were conducting EVP work in Room 5, I asked if there was anyone here. We captured an EVP male voice say ‘yes’. In Room 13 Shannon says: “Can you please, please say something?” EVP male voice says something that is inaudible and later says clearly “I care”. Shannon tries again and we record same male voice, EVP says: “I want you.”

We used the McCabe Method of recording EVPs. Say something, wait for an answer and play immediately back. We don’t just leave our recorders on all night. If an entity is going to speak, it’s going to speak immediately. If you ask what the entity’s name is, it’s not going to wait one hour to reply. Simple logic.

We ended this night by walking across the street to Tilly’s Bar and Shannon took over the whole karaoke bar by singing Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. Everyone got up and went wild to Shannon’s high vocals, she is truly a professional singer. Sunday it was time to pack it up and it was great to know that this was a successful investigation with a slew of EVPs gathered by the investigative team. Our last stop before heading home was at the Preston Castle, so Bryan Coleman could do some B Roll filming.

Before I close this article, I want you to look out your window, because the Ghost Girls may one day be on your street!

HPI Chronicles: Hauntings in Herald and Zephyr Cove

When it rains it pours. This upcoming weekend November 14, 2008 Friday and November 15, 2008, Saturday, I have two private investigations. I will discover at the end of this weekend that each investigation is very unique and intriguing. It’s like walking into a movie, that keeps you glued to your seat, but when the ending comes, you crave for more. There are so many unanswered questions that you want answered, but certain roadblocks you are not able to overtake or overcome. You are at the crossroads of the unknown with all aspects of the afterlife staring you in the face mocking your efforts in the search for the truth. Now prepare to take a seat as I walk you through the edge of darkness, where nothing is what it appears.

THE HERALD STORY

The Story:
Teresa Rosales is the occupant of this home. She lives in this home with her husband, their 4 children, 11 cats, 1 dog named Snoopy, 5 thorough bred horses and a handful of chickens and roosters. Teresa and her family moved into this home August 30, 1999. Teresa started experiencing activity in this home 2 or 3 months after moving in. Teresa and her family were sitting in the kitchen late in the morning and all of a sudden they heard a big bang in the garage. The chickens in the garage started running in all directions. The chickens were spooked from the loud banging. The family went to investigate and could not determine what or where the noise came from. Their second experience was hearing her husband’s voice say ‘Spot’ (the name of their former dog). This experience shook them considerably since their husband was at work and was not at the house. They determined the entity mimic the voice of her husband. Now I will highlight some of their main experiences in this article:

• Voice of a small boy in their bedroom humming with a humming teaser at the end.
• Teresa’s son sees a darting shadow in the hallway.
• Teresa’s 2 daughters video tape each other in various acting roles and acquire an EVP of a small boy saying ‘daddy’.
• DVDs in a pile move into two separate directions, falling to the right and falling to the left.
• Teresa’s grandmother feels an entity jumping on her bed.
• Legend has it that in the area where their house is built, 3 girls came up missing near their property, this could have occurred in the 50s.
• Teresa’s son was sleeping in the living room and heard dishes slamming into the sink.
• Constant banging in the closet is heard by Teresa’s two daughters; Teresa’s two daughters investigate and open up the closet only to find a big stuffed dog.
• Teresa takes a photograph and a large anomaly shows us, that appears to be ectoplasm. Other photos taken by Teresa and her family display orbs.
• During our investigation, while I was experimenting with my dowsing rods, 5 members of the family heard a little boy talking alongside the front of the house.

After I left, the entity or entities of this home may have not liked being visited by ghosthunters, because the whole family heard a loud bang. The cookie cutter from the wall came slamming down to the floor. Then the next day a ‘green rock’ that was given to Teresa from her son was placed in the middle of her garage after she cleaned it, as a sign of peace and harmony, since the green rock was originally given to Teresa as a gift of love from her son.

Equipment Used: Tape recorder, digital audio recorder, 2 digital cameras, dowsing rods, Toshiba laptop.

Paul’s Investigative Task Force: Lead Investigator: Paul Dale Roberts. Investigator: Tammy Straling.

Findings:
Unusual orb activity is found in the photographs. Double orb touching can be seen in the bedroom mirror. Note: Orb photographs are not definite proof that there is paranormal activity, unless we can determine intelligent signs in the movement of the orbs. EVP evidence was inconclusive due to outside interference, such as dogs barking, conversation, TV background noise, roosters crowing. Dowsing rods were used. Note: Dowsing rods have been used by ancient people to detect energy sources, such as water. Dowsing rods is regarded as pseudo-science and any results are not conclusive proof of haunting activity. Results of the dowsing rod experimentation indicated that there were two entities in this home. One of the entities is a boy 9 years old or perhaps 6 years old that lived in the 1900s. The boy’s name is Larry and lived out of state and was visiting this area. His father witnessed his death, as he fell off a horse. The boy loves the family and sees Teresa as a motherly figure. He is afraid to go into the light. The young boy is a protective entity that watches over the family. The second entity appears to be Teresa’s deceased mother that also watches over the family.

Conclusion: Further investigation is warranted. Final results: Inconclusive. A scouting mission will be conducted with more investigators in January 2009.

ZEPHYR COVE

The Story:
Sylvie, John and Amanda have lived in their home in Zephyr Cove since December 2004. They noticed the activity in their new home on the day they moved in. The day they moved in, there was a strong Winter storm. The significant activity has been:
• Amanda noticed her purses moving side to side on the door and banging against the door. One purse is 6 lbs.
• Sylvie has awakened to the smell of smoke, thinking the house is on fire.
• Basket of purses being pushed every night against the closet door, hindering the opening of her closet door.
• DC aka Damn Cat would constantly walk in circles. Sylvie noticed that her 3 cats would also notice something that was not there. Her cat Midnight would actually play with someone that was not there.
• Shadows have been seen in the back hall and in both bedrooms. The black shadow entity will actually stand in front of you, but will not cross the threshold to approach you.
• Tree in the backyard seems to have energy, an energy that seems to be of childish play.
• Amanda may be a sensitive and feels dread when the entity is around.
• Sylvie feels the entity is trying to communicate with the family.
• History of the area is that many of the new homes have been built over Portuguese cemeteries. It has been established that the Pocket Area is haunted in various paranormal literature.
• Sylvie had other paranormal experiences before moving into her Zephyr Cove home. She lived in homes in which she has seen an entity (her grandfather) sitting on the couch and the couch being pushed in, as if he was sitting on the couch. Note: Sylvie had another paranormal experience that is not a ghostly experience, she actually saw a Bigfoot on Hwy 295 near the Trinity Alps (near Redding). She saw the creature walking across the street with long strides.
• John had paranormal experiences before in which he saw a Bigfoot near the town he lived in. In his mid-town home, there was haunting activity, the house would get cold, a figurine would move alongside the bookcase. His brush would vanish and would actually re-appear. There was emblem inside the door, like a stylized monkey, a charm to keep something inside the home. An emblem that the former occupants had placed on the doorway of this home. Since both Sylvie and John both lived in paranormal active homes before, is it possible that the entities of these former residences followed them to this new home?

Paul’s HPI Task Force: Lead Investigator: Paul Dale Roberts. Investigators: Kristen Sheley, Tammy Straling, Kathy and Tom.

The Findings:
During the investigation, many photographs taken by the investigators displayed strange orb activity. Double orbs, designer orbs and orbs that seemed to hover over the family members. Tom takes a picture in the attic which displays an unusual red arc beam. Three EVPs are captured. I captured these two:

Paul: Can you say hello? Hello!
EVP Male Voice: Hel…..

Paul: Can you tell me if you are here?
EVP Male Voice: Here.

Tammy captures an EVP or a regular tape recorder; here is what her EVP says:

Tammy: What is your name?
EVP Older Woman Voice: Ruby.

The Blessing:
I am asked by Sylvie to bless the home, because her daughter Amanda is uncomfortable with the paranormal activity in the home. My investigators surround the family in a circle, holding hands and I conduct a ‘hedge of protection’ prayer for the family. Armed with holy water, a crucifix and rosary beads, I take Sylvie to the backyard and conduct a 4 winds prayer, we enter the home and I sprinkle holy water along all entry ways, corners of various rooms, so the entity or entities cannot hide in areas of the house, especially the two attic entry ways, where Sylvie feels the entities at times hide. I ask the spirit(s) of the home to go into the light and that they are not welcome in this house. We reach the front lawn and conduct another 4 winds prayer banishing the spirit(s) to the 4 winds and to the light. Sylvie says that she actually saw a small shiny orb dart past us and cross the street and straight up into the night sky. Afterwards the smell of fragrance in the house was detected by Kathy. A smell of fragrance is usually thought of as a smell indicating that the home is now protected by an army of angels. Now this is something I didn’t tell you. Before the investigation, I went outside to take a break and prepare for the blessing and I swear on a stack of bibles, I heard a growling noise coming from the roof of the house. Could it be that the entity did not want me to conduct the blessing and was growling at me to let me know it did not approve of the blessing? It was a very odd experience that I only experienced.

Like I said this was two very unusual investigations and the growling that I heard was one of the most significant events since I have been ghostbusting, it still reverberates in my mind as I sit here detailing the accounts of these two nights. The world of the paranormal is a strange one and I continue to move forward seeking answers….seeking the truth.

Conclusion: With the three EVPs that were acquired from the Zephyr Cove home, it would indicate that this home is truly experiencing paranormal activity.

HPI Hits the Streets of Hollywood!

Howard Nash, an independent New York movie producer 3 years ago discovered my comic book The Legendary Dark Silhouette and made contact with me. He liked the concept of the character and before I knew it, I was signing a contract to have my comic book made into a movie. Howard Nash has produced many movies, see his interview at:

Howard recently contacted me and asked if I could attend the movie premiere of his latest movie PJ at The Laemmle Grande 4-Plex Theater at 345 S. Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles on November 7, 2008, Friday. With a Hollywood party to follow! Shannon McCabe, Chris Grissom and I were on our way. My son Jason Randall Porter was supposed to go, but he missed his flight and we had to be on the road. Sorry Jason! I'll make it up to you!

Shannon, Chris and I got to the haunted Historic Mayfield Hotel. The same hotel where Arnold Schwarznegger's movie True Lies was filmed at. The very same hotel that I spent 30 days at during the Northridge Earthquake, in which I was working with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services/FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and yes, I was there for the filming of True Lies where I met Lindsey Wagner who came by to see Arnold. Our room was 1208 (almost like the movie 1408). One of the stories of the Mayfield Hotel is that outside in 1983 a prostitute by the name of Mesmerize was shot down outside of the hotel by her pimp 'Jack Hammer'. According to locals, an argument ensued between the pimp and the prostitute and the pimp shot her down in the street. According to some patrons of the hotel, she still roams the hallways and one of the rooms that she stayed in was Room 1208. While the three of us stayed in the same room, we witnessed nothing of a paranormal nature in our room during our stay in this room which lasted from Friday to Sunday. We still had plenty of time before the movie premiere and the Hollywood party, so we showered and got ready to hit the Santa Monica pier where there are many shops. The weather was perfect, in the 80s and 90s and on the beach of Santa Monica were people sunbathing in the month of November! We ate at places like Johnny Rockets, Bubba Gump Shrimp and even a little dive restaurant called Los Burritos on 4929 Sunset Blvd.

The evening was upon us and we headed over to the premiere to be greeted by Howard Nash, John Heard, Patricia Rae, the stars of the movie 'PJ'. A videographer was recording the event for posterity.

Review of PJ:
A very dramatic movie that touches upon a stroke of heroism in which the hero (Howard Nash) is instantly given a gift of incredible strength to save a young girl from a raging fire inside of an automobile that has crashed. Howard rips the doors apart, burning his hands severely to save the girl. He doesn't remember anything and a psychiatrist played by John Heard tries to piece together Howard's complex story. It is later learned that the gift that Howard acquired can be passed on to another. The movie keeps you glued to your seat and you wait anxiously to see what will occur next. This is one of Howard's finest moments!

Synopsis of PJ:
Who are you..? Who am I..? A man who calls himself P.J. (played by Howard Nash), has witnessed a horrific accident and subsequently retreats within himself. He barely talks, and doesn't even know who he is. He is brought to a state-run hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where the resident graveyard shift psychiatrist (Dr. Alan Shearson played by John Heard) tries to get through to him with the help of his assistant (Vincent Pastore) and P.J.'s bitter ex-girlfriend (Patricia Rae). All the while, the doctor is fighting his own life's demons involving his family (including his wife Evelyn played by Glynnis O?Connor), and an out-of-touch supervisor (Robert Picardo) who wants P.J. permanently committed. Relevant questions of God and faith are tackled in this dramatic, yet inspiring film based on Mark McQuown's award-winning play. Starring Howard Nash, Vincent Pastore (Sompranos), Patricia Rae, Robert Picardo (Stargate SG-1/Star Trek), Hallie Kate Eisenberg, Glynnis O'Connor, John Heard.

After the movie, everyone that had a hand in the movie discusses their role in PJ. When it was time for John Heard to talk, he made many comical comments that had the audience laughing hysterically. While we were taking pictures inside of the theater, Shannon was getting unusual designer orb shots of the same orb, that seemed to be hovering over the actors. I took a picture in the direction Shannon was photographing and captured the same orb. Shannon and I, could only wonder if this theater was haunted. Talking with an employee that does not want to be identified claims that a patron watching a movie had a heart attack in the movie theater and was pronounced dead on his way to the hospital. Perhaps it is this man, that haunts the theater. I can only wonder.

After the premiere we all headed over to a Japanese Restaurant called Oiwake Karaoke Restaurant for the party. There was karaoke, dancing, drinking and fun! Shan, Chris and I, started networking with everyone in the crowd. When the party was done, we headed back to the hotel, but Shannon and I weren't finished partying yet. There was a nightclub on the 2nd floor of the Mayfield Hotel and Shan and I headed up there to dance the night away.

By the time we hit the sack we were out! The next day Chris woke Shan and I up and said it is time for the Dearly Departed Tours! See website at: http://www.dearlydepartedtours.com We hopped into the van and with the Dark Shadows theme song playing we learned of the Rebecca Schaeffer murder in 1989 and saw where the shooting took place, conducted by her stalker Robert John Bardo. John afterwards calmly had lunch at Jan's Restaurant near her apartment complex. This tour will explain how the movie industry moved into Hollywood in 1912, starting off with Universal Studios. You will be shown Cedar Sinai Hospital where many actors and actresses met their demise.
You will see the following homes of: Jean Harlow, Marilyn Monroe, the infamous Mendez Brothers who shot their parents, the home that Bugsy Siegel was gunned down, Frank Sinatra, Tom Cruise. When George Michael's song comes on "I Want Your Sex', you are given a break at the infamous public restroom where George Michael was arrested for violation of 657 (A) PC.

As the tour continued we saw more homes, the homes of the Osbournes, now Christina Aguilar's home, 1537 Orange Grove where the boogieman known as Michael Myers committed his slayings in the movie Halloween, 5620 Harold Way - the home of Bela Lugosi, 970 Rossmore - the home of Mae West, the Cunningham Home of Happy Days, Rob Zombie's home, 435 Rimpau Blvd - the home of George Takei of Star Trek fame (also known as the Chia House), 180 McCadden - home of Judy Garland - 172 McCadden - where they filmed "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?' with Betty Davis, 166 McCadden - where they filmed 'Bringing Down the House' with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. As we continued on our 3 hour tour, we also saw the Greystone Mansion, Sierra Towers, the Hamlet, Key Club where they filmed 'A Night at the Roxbury', the Roxy, Whisky A-Go-Go, the Viper Room, 77 Sunset Strip, House of Blues, the actual carwash where they filmed 'Carwash'. We also saw where they filmed the apartment stairwell escape for Pretty Woman, the bar that Black Dahlia aka Elizabeth Short and Ed Wood would hang out at, Capitol Records where they filmed Hancock, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, We saw the homes where the Bianca/Tate murders were committed by the followers of Charles Manson and finally El Coyote Restaurant where Sharon Tate had her last meal...chili rellenos.

This was a very interesting tour and with all of the historical aspects of this tour, you can only wonder just how much residual haunting activity are at these locations. Many tourists say that their dogs will stop and bark at nothingness at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

After this tour was over Shan, Chris and I partied at a nightclub called The Flat in downtown Los Angeles. A festive atmosphere where they have coed bathrooms and everyone gets in sinc to 'Lean like a Cholo'.

We ended our adventure by investigating a nearby church that is reputed to have haunting activity and may have picked up some EVPs, but further analysis is warranted.

As I left Hollywood, I will never forget how in 1980, I was sitting in a bar in Palm Springs and an unknown actor by the name of Dennis Farina was sitting next to me. Dennis words were: Hollywood is a tough business. Dennis is now a very well known actor and he has experienced what Hollywood is all about. I can only imagine.
