The Crescent Club Speakeasy will host the second annual Vampire Ball this Saturday, a party for vampire fanatics and Halloween revelers alike, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Romanian League in Defense of Animals (ROLDA).

This year’s event will be modeled after HBO’s “True Blood,” said Shannon McCabe, event organizer.

A staff of 25 helped her put together a party six months in the making, including professional set designers, vampire go-go dancers, two local DJs and actors who will be playing roles from the “True Blood” cast. Food will be served by Café Americain.

“I want to feel like I’m in the town of Bon Temps,” McCabe said, alluding to the fictional town where the HBO vampire series is set.

Fans of the show will recognize characters like Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman, among others, as costumed actors mingle with the crowd. The indoor café will be renamed “Merlotte’s Grill” after a restaurant from the series. The courtyard will be transformed into a blue bayou, McCabe said, to emulate the feel of the show’s small Louisiana town.

There will be a dance floor named “Fangtasia” with DJ David V and another called “Dracula’s Castle Dance Hall” with DJ Natalie Liquori, which will draw guests after they spend time at the “Hair of the Dog Bar.” Others can wander the three stories of the historic mansion or take a break in the rooms on the third floor that will be playing vampire films and “True Blood” episodes throughout the night.

McCabe said she created this event after becoming a fan of the “Twilight” saga. After 15 years of being a professional event planner, she thought, “How can I bring this to other fans so that they can experience it and not just watch it?”

She is also the founder of Haunted & Paranormal Investigations International (HPI), which hosts ghost-hunting classes and overnight stays at haunted locations, as well as investigates claims of paranormal activity.

“The owners of the Crescent Club Speakeasy have had paranormal ghost experiences,” McCabe said, adding that this was part of the reason she chose the location for the Vampire Ball, as well as the “crazy Victorian décor and chandeliers and vampiric atmosphere” of the historic Governor Newton Booth mansion.

“You aren’t required to dress up,” McCabe said, “but it will heighten the experience.”

During the night, a charity raffle will be held to raise money for ROLDA. McCabe, a member for almost two years, said the idea made sense because “Romania has animals in need and (was the home of) Dracula. I love animals and vampires, and so I have the Vampire Ball to help Romanian animals.”

Tickets are $12 online (available here) or $15 at the door.

A Sacramento teen is trying to get an early start on a film career with the launching of an Internet-based talk show.

“Sci Fi Stories” is 16-year-old Joseph Cady’s show, which will cover all things paranormal and unexplained in Sacramento and beyond.

Among his subjects: ghosts, UFOs, extraterrestrials, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

“I wanted to do something out of the ordinary,” said Cady, whose father, Brian Cady, will be helping him produce the series. “It will be weekly on Sundays, and we’ll upload the videos to Youtube in the afternoon for people to watch.”

Each program will be 20 or 30 minutes long, and sometimes will consist of sit-down interviews with local experts, while other shows will be filmed on-site.

“He’s almost getting out of school, and we wanted to do something together before he leaves the nest,” Brian Cady said. “We have personalities that collide sometimes, so we’re going to do this together.”

He said he hopes the show ill be something that can help them bond as they work toward a common goal.

Brian Cady said Joseph is very goal-oriented and sets what seem to his father to be impossible deadlines, but always manages to meet them.

“I hope he gets a little bit of attention,” Brian Cady said. “He’s pretty good, and if he puts his mind to it, he’ll do really well.”

Joseph Cady said he has always been interested in science fiction and the paranormal. He was inspired to start his own show by the radio show “Coast to Coast AM,” which covers UFOs, strange occurrences and other similar topics.

The series will premiere on Halloween, with the topic of ghosts.

The following week’s show will be about UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

“We’re hoping to eventually take it to the next level,” Joseph Cady said. “We’d like to get a public access show, and then maybe go on from there.”

Through his website, he encourages viewers to share their own stories, and submissions can be made to scifistories101@yahoo.com.

Interviewed by Paul Dale Roberts, President www.jazmaonline.com
General Manager www.hpiparanormal.net

Question: Tell us something about yourself, your personal life, recreational activities and hobbies.

Answer: I have been working in the tattoo industry for almost ten years. I started as a shop girl at Aces tattoo in Reno, NV and soon was asked to manage the shop because of my ingenious business sense. (Giggle) I stayed with that shop for over 3 years during which we grew from a tiny street shop to the primary custom shop in Reno. Having the combination of both powerhouse ass kicking rock’n roll street shop and the privilege to work with amazing artists such as Kevin Cox, Lee Hanna, Jason Freeman and a long list of rock star tattooists that regularly guest spotted at our shop, I would say I was hooked. A long time fan of the art of tattoos and the rich history has always kept me close to the community I consider my second family. When I left the shop as my full time job I continued to promote and work with them in hosting the Lady Luck tattoo convention annually, and traveling continuously with various artists working conventions.
During all of this I’ve raised 3 beautiful daughters who take up any free time I have outside of work.

To see more pictures of Tiffany, stop by here:
Allen/

Question: When did get your first tattoo?

Answer: 17 @ some scratcher’s house, I think I paid $40 so he could score some weed. Yes that is now a large cover up!

Question: What made you gravitate towards getting a tattoo?

Answer: I actually started getting tattooed before it was cool or hip, and being a woman, I had my fair share of criticism over the years. I think back then tattoos were still rebellious and I was one of those punk kids.

Question: Do your tattoos have meanings?

Answer: They mean I can’t easily go back into the mainstream workforce? Lol. Each tattoo represents a time in my life and may have a witty story, but for the most part I actually pursue the artists individually and am such a fan of their artwork. I give them all liberties. At most I may suggest an idea and let them draw it up to their preference.

Question: How did you get your job as the manager of Front Street Tattoo?

Answer: I was looking for a guest spot for my dear friend the infamous “Grady Spades” to come pay a visit on the west coast and all of the custom shops I am friends with in downtown were full (meaning nobody has an open chair for tattooing) So I thought I would walk through the tourist area of old sac and check out what the shops were like. I stumbled on Front Street and immediately loved the old Victorian building. Mark Mathews a local fighting favorite in the UFC world and dedicated tattooer at the shop gave me a tour. To be honest I kind of ripped some of the set up of the shop to shreds and started giving him suggestions when the owner came in and Mark told him he should hire me. I’ve been revamping and remodeling the shop ever since in hopes to make it a stronghold in the community by the end of this summer.

Question: Do people feel that tattoos give them a warrior status or some other kind of status? What are the various reasons people get tattoos.

Answer: Yes! But there are thousands of reasons people get tattooed in today’s society, from memorials of people whom have passed to personal accomplishments, all the way to the gods honest truth of “Tattoo’s make you look cool!” giggle.

Question: You said something about respecting the business and that some people don’t have that respect. Can you elaborate?

Answer: Many years ago the boys wanted me to apprentice but I wasn’t one of those art kids who had spent my life drawing, (Don’t let the tattoos fool you, most these guys are just art geeks) I have an immense respect for the industry and the skill of the people who brought me into it. I honestly love working with and being surrounded by passionate artists, but I don’t have the talent they do and didn’t want to be just another second rate tattooer. Unfortunately in recent years the internet and lack of respect for the genuine skill it takes to put a beautiful PERMANENT mark on someone has lead to an abundance of low quality tattoo shops, lack of common knowledge by the public of what a good tattoo looks like, and sadly a saturated market where even the best in the industry are struggling financially. Kids have asked me for years how to get an apprenticeship and I always start with go to art school, then get in a shop who expects you to work 2 years on the floor before touching anyone’s skin. Tattoos are forever, and if it’s not done right the first time it can be twice as much work and at least twice as much money to fix. It just amazes me people don’t respect the old school ways. I wouldn’t go to a plastic surgeon that taught himself at home, why anyone would think learning to tattoo that way is ok. I can rant for hours about industry standards, laws, suppliers selling to the public, but it just comes down to respect. If everyone in the industry stopped making it so easy for every Joe schmo to call themselves a “Tattoo Artist”, less apprenticing, etc. and if the public would do the research and learn to spot bad line work, week color, or just plain bad artistic skill instead of going for the lowest price.. the industry would be a better place. Remember folks: “ GOOD TATTOOS AREN’T CHEAP, And CHEAP TATTOOS AREN’T GOOD.

Question: Who is your favorite Tattoo Artist?

Answer: Chris Conn who ended up working at Aces after I left, yet I never had taken the time to get tattooed by and is currently retired….(sounds of heart breaking in background)

Question: If I wanted a big fat dragon tattooed on my back, how much would that cost?

Answer: Think of your back is a huge canvas and goes big. I would tell you to do research and find an artist you love then get a quote from them. Being right next to San Francisco you have the opportunities to get tattooed by some of the most famous tattoo artist in the world. I would probably tell you to start at Black Heart Tattoo in SF. Every one of the artists there are incredible. Usually there’s not more than about a $50 dollar an hour difference between the kid down the street vs. having a piece that you will impress people with for the rest of your life!

Paul: I know where I can get my tattoos for free Tiffany.

Tiffany: Where?

Paul: San Quentin Prison (smile).

Tiffany: …..Oh Paul…NOTHING IS FREE IN PRISON!

Paul: Yikes! I hear ya Tiffany…okay, let’s move on to the final questions.

Question: Thank you for this interview Tiffany. Before you go, do you have a website for your shop, how can someone contact you? What is your favorite song? And, before you go, what kind of movies, TV shows and books do you like….just curious. Again, thank you.

Answer: FrontStreetTatttoo.Net or Myspace.com/FrontStreetTattooShop
And I am of course Ms.Tiffany on myspace.com/tiffany666rpm
Love letters and Hate mail can be sent via email at: tiffanysgig@gmail.com

My favorite song is Bad Reputation by Joan Jett
I love horror movies and anything that makes me laugh, this week my favorite is “the Hangover” mostly because it reminds me of what I remember of my 20’s…... and as far as television I’ve never been much of a fan, but have to admit a guilty pleasure and say I can’t get enough of FX’s Sons of Anarchy. Thanks for thinking my babble is worthy of print, it has been a pleasure chatting with you.
Cheers- Ms.Tiffany

Location of Interview: The Coffee Garden, 2904 Franklin Blvd, Sacramento, Ca
Date of Interview: January 10, 2010
Time of Interview: 1500 Hours

Question: First let’s allow the readers to get to know you, can you tell me something about your personal life, such as where you were born and raised. Activities you are involved in, such as hobbies and recreational fun.

Answer: I was born in a very small cow town called Los Banos. It’s about two hours south of here in Merced County. When I was growing up in Los Banos, there was absolutely nothing to do. Everyone was either into drugs, sex, or other bad behavior. I spent my time with my now-fiancée (then boyfriend) Kyle. We started going out my freshman year of high school, but we had known each other since seventh grade. We did get into some trouble together, but we also did a lot of after-school activities together as well. For instance, we ran cross-country and were on the swim team together as sophomores. But we were also the token “Goth” couple on campus. But at the same time, we also weren’t stereotypical. We both had lots of friends and associated with people outside the stereotype. I got really good grades in high school, so I was also friends with all of the jocks and preps, believe it or not.
As for what I like to do now, I love to read. I read everything from memoirs to fiction and I also write recreationally. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, so that might explain some of my passion.
As you can see from my appearance, I also enjoy makeup and fashion. I love buying new clothes and makeup when I have extra cash, and I spend a lot of time investing in my personal appearance, particularly when I go out.

To see more pictures of Chelsey Miller, go here:
http://s643.photobucket.com/albums/uu157/PaulDaleRoberts_2009/Chelsey/

Question: Now Chelsey, you are a very, very interesting and unique person. How did you get into the Goth culture?

Answer: Well, I hate to say that I am involved in the Goth culture at all to be honest. I am what I am regardless of how people categorize me. I tend to only use the label for convenience. But if you want me to be more specific, I guess my involvement would go back to my high school days once more. As I have already mentioned, there was nothing for me and my boyfriend to do, so we got really involved in the music that is associated with the lifestyle. We listened to a lot of metal and dark rock bands, and we both loved the way Goth people dressed and wanted to be like them. I guess we kind of started developing our own ways of interpreting their music, and one way it manifested itself was in the clothing we wore, which of course was all black.

Question: Do you feel there is a connection with the Goth culture and the vampire culture?

Answer: Definitely, although I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the people who associate themselves with the scene would think of themselves as vampires. I think that a lot of the people I know who are involved with the lifestyle are into the darker sides of life and mortality, although are not necessarily morbid people themselves. Bondage, sadomasochism, and fetishes are all closely linked to the lifestyle, and so vampires could definitely fall into any or all of those categories.

Question: Would you consider yourself sort of a vampire?

Answer: No, not at all. I have a “thing” for blood however. I don’t drink it or anything, but blood is definitely sexy. It’s a very intimate kind of sexy however, so not everyone’s blood is sexy. My fiancée’s blood is sexy and there are some other attractive people whose blood I would not mind coming into contact with….but that’s another story.

Question: You mentioned something about cutting. Well, even though I am a paranormal writer, I am not that familiar with ‘cutting’. Can you please elaborate?

Answer: Well, I suppose the best way to describe cutting is to say that it is exactly what it sounds like – cutting myself. Although for most people, the word “cutting” is a bad thing. Therapists warn of the dangers associated with the behavior, and while it can be a cry for help, in my case, it’s exactly the opposite. It’s something I do to feel aroused or beautiful or happy even. And it takes a lot of trust and intimacy to feel connected enough with someone to share the experience…as in, letting them cut me or vice versa.

Question: Chelsey, your outfit is spectacular!! Do you wear this outfit wherever you go? Did you make it? Pray tell!

Answer: First of all, thank you very much for the compliment. I get a lot of negative reactions as well as positive ones, so I do appreciate the compliment. I do basically wear this outfit wherever I go, but with slight modifications…or additions. I’m sure you can tell that it’s pretty skimpy; normally I don’t wear clothing this skimpy as my everyday attire. This is my nightlife wear – for when I go to clubs or to a special occasion. My everyday attire is basically the same but with some variations – I still wear super short six-inch skirts (my closet is absolutely FULL of miniskirts!), but I wear them with leggings instead of ripped tights. I also wear regular shirts that don’t reveal so much skin or my bra. I guess sometimes it’s just not appropriate to expose so much skin, and I recognize and respect that fact. For example, I’m not going to wear a shirt that shows my bra and midriff to a family reunion, but I do still dress in my style. I’m not going to change that basic part of myself because even if it might seem a little shallow, the clothes a person wears can tell a lot about who they are.

Question: How long have you lived in Sacramento? What do you think of the Goth culture and entertainment compared to the Bay Area Goth style?

Answer: I’ve only lived in Sacramento for a few months. I used to live in Davis because I went to school at UC Davis. I only graduated June of 2009, so I moved after graduation.
The Goth culture and entertainment here is definitely better than in Davis! Davis had literally nothing to offer as it is a pretty small and sheltered community. There are a few clubs here in Sac that are fun enough, but I like clubbing in San Francisco much better for several reasons – I have friends there who make the experience more fun and the clubs themselves are just better. They tend to attract better live performers and invest more cash in their venues, so the result is a more put-together and professional atmosphere. Not to mention that more people show up to the San Fran clubs than the Sacramento clubs.

Question: What is your favorite Goth type of song?

Answer: That’s a tough question. I will have to think about that…I suppose anything by Skinny Puppy…maybe “Tin Omen” or “Fascist Jock Itch.” I’m also a huge Radiohead fan, although that’s not necessarily “Goth music.” I even have a Radiohead tattoo on my forearm.

Question: You were telling me you dig zombies, maybe I am mistaken or maybe I was drinking my latte and not paying attention to what you were saying. Can you elaborate on this?

Answer: I’m just a huge horror movie fan in general and zombie flicks are my favorite because they tend to have the most gore. I’m a huge fan of gore and in particular, blood, as I’ve mentioned. And I guess somehow zombies seem the most believable. It makes sense to me that a viral outbreak could cause people to turn into monsters. In other words, zombies can be explained away scientifically, whereas vampires and ghosts cannot. And I might add that I am also a sort of science geek…I originally went to school to be a veterinarian, so I dig the biological sciences.

Question: When people react negatively towards you, because of your style, the clothing you wear, does it bother you, or do you have thick skin and shake it off and carry on?

Answer: Nope, it never bothers me. People will think and react however they want and there’s really nothing I can do about that. I just find it sad that most people are so narrow-minded. But I suppose to a certain extent all people judge one another. Even I sometimes find myself judging. I once caught myself making fun of a guy because his car was raised so high and the wheels were so huge and he was playing his music so loudly. But then I caught myself and thought, “Well, I suppose people could say the same thing about the way I dress, so who am I to make fun of him.” So I try my very hardest not to judge people, even though that’s just the way the world works.

Question: What are your favorite books, movies and TV shows?

Answer: My favorite book of all time is Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. I read that when I was in junior high and simply loved it. But I read anything and everything I can get my hands on! Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of horror books. I am currently in the middle of Let the Right One In, a vampire book that takes place in a foreign country. It was also made into a film, which I have seen, but so far, the book is better. That tends to be the case most of the time anyways.
I am also a big movie person! I subscribe to Netflix and so I watch a movie just about every night! Netflix is seriously the best invention ever. Lately, I watch a lot of older films because that’s what my fiancée likes. But I think that one of my favorite horror movies of all time has to be Eraserhead. That movie is so beautiful and artistic, but also really creepy, even though it’s not so well-known.
I watch a lot of TV shows that are on HBO. My fiancée and I just finished watching the entire Carnivale series and right now we’re finishing up Six Feet Under. Both are really amazing shows. I also love Dexter and Weeds. I love the shows that get a little bit more artistic freedom…you know, the ones that are censored less. The ability to swear, show sex and nudity, etc. really makes the shows more real, even though some of the stuff that happens on them is really unbelievable. I am also a huge fan of The Office. I love Steve Carrell…he’s so handsome! I dig older comedians like him and Will Ferrell, for instance.

Question: Do you like reading Gothic Beauty Magazine?

Answer: I buy the magazine, but I wouldn’t say that I read it. I mostly buy it for the pictures and the clothing ads. Since I mostly buy my clothes online, I am always looking for sites for good clothes. I look for people who make their own stuff and can tailor it to my needs because unfortunately, I have no sewing experience. I guess I don’t find the articles engaging enough to read most of the time. I won’t say that I NEVER read it, because that’s not true. I just find that overall, I get bored with the articles because they are not about things I’m interested in.

Question: Fun question. If you had 6 dinner guests, 3 fictional and 3 historical. Who would they be?

Answer: The fictional ones would be Michael Scott from The Office, Brundle Fly, and Dexter (from Dexter). Michael Scott would make everything interesting because he is so damn awkward! It would be hilarious to see him interact with everyone. I would invite Brundle Fly because Jeff Goldblum is hot, even if he is a mutant fly. And Dexter is just way too amusing not to invite. It’s hard to not like him, even if he is a serial killer.
The historical guests question is going to be a hard one! I guess they’re also not really “historical” either. They’re more of contemporary figures. My first would be Ogre, the singer of Skinny Puppy. I’ve actually met him before and he was the nicest guy. He treated me just like a real person even though I’m sure he could tell I was so nervous to talk to him. I would also invite Tim Curry because he’s another one of those sexy, older men that I just can’t get enough of. His laugh is the most unique and interesting laugh I have ever heard. He could just laugh through the entire dinner and I would be happy. He wouldn’t even have to say anything! My final guest would be Jim Carrey because he would make the entire thing really fun. His face is so expressive and flexible. I would love to have him around to make people laugh. He’s another one of those men that I find attractive just because they can make me laugh.

Question: Thank you for this fantastic interview. Do you have any words of wisdom for our readers?

Answer: Keep a positive outlook on life. It’s important not to get too hung up on the small things when there’s a whole world out there to explore and be a part of. Also, don’t take yourself too seriously because when you start to do that, you take something away from yourself and people will miss out on the best parts of you. Also, if you can laugh at yourself, it makes it okay for you to make mistakes.

Question: Damn it Chelsey, I was going to say we were done, but there are a few more things I want to ask. So, let me ask it all here. Don’t bite my head off, but here goes.
Do you have any pets and if you do what are their names and what kind of pets are they? Do you have a nickname? Do you have a website and if you do what is the URL address? How can someone contact you?

Answer: yes, I absolutely have pets! I love, love, love animals. Like I said, I was going to school to be a vet, but found something else I was better suited for. I have two cats named Ratchet and Gus. I could go on and on about my cats because they are like children to me. Ratchet is an orange tabby and Gus is white. Ratchet behaves like a human though, so I almost think of him as my best friend. I also have a gargoyle gecko named Abner Irwin. I named him that because I got him right around the time Steve Irwin died, so I wanted to honor him. Steve Irwin used to be one of my heroes – when I was younger I always wanted to wrangle crocs! I also have a corn snake named Judas. I got him when he was no larger than an earthworm and now he is about four feet long!
My nickname is Chez, but only the people I am close to uses it. It started out when my little sister Eden was young and couldn’t say my name and then it just stuck. Now my step-dad (well, technically he’s not my step dad anymore because he’s no longer married to my mom, but I still refer to him as my step dad) and Eden call me Chez Whiz and a few friends call me Chez Pez. I also used to be called “Wretch” by my family on my mom’s side – I guess because I was a wretched little child. I whined a lot! They used to call me by my full name but with an added “Wretch” – it came out “Chelsey Arianne Wretch Miller.” I used to hate it, but now I find it kind of endearing.
I also have a homepage on www.examiner.com as the “Sacramento Goth Culture Examiner,” although I don’t take my title too seriously. I am not and will never claim to be an authority on “Goth culture.” I just write for the site because I enjoy doing it and it’s something I feel comfortable talking about. I also have a Myspace page (sorry, I don’t do Facebook…well, at least not yet!). I believe the address is www.myspace.com/far_too_frail, but if that doesn’t work, then just search “Chez” which is my screen name. And if those two methods of contact don’t work for you, my e-mail address is freak-on-a-leash@mindless.com. (I used to be a massive KoRn fan…well, I guess I still like them, even if they’re short two band members).

Paul: Now, I will say thank you for the interview! What a wonderful interview Chelsey! Good luck in your upcoming marriage and I look forward to seeing you on one of my ghost hunting adventures!

Interviewed by: Brent Raynes, Publisher of Alternate Perceptions Magazine

1. Please tell us a little about yourself and also tell us how long you have been a paranormal investigator/journalist?

Answer: I have been a journalist for a long, long time. My first paying gig was with Brainstorm Comics. I was a columnist for his vampire magazine. My first paying gig was in 1996. The first thing I ever had published was when I was 12 years old. It was a letter to the editor in the Monterey Herald. When I was a small boy living on Effy Street in Fresno, CA, I thought I lived in a haunted house. At the age of 8, I was reading Brad Steiger books on the paranormal. I became very well versed in the paranormal and when it came time to write paranormal articles, it was a perfect fit. I have been on 300 investigations and written over 300 paranormal articles. I have only been a paranormal investigator for 3 years, but I am very, very prolific.

2. What attracted you to this subject?

Answer: As I mentioned above, it's because I thought I lived in a haunted house and started reading every Brad Steiger book I could find.

3. You certainly seem to have an inexhaustible, obsessive drive, churning out copy constantly non-stop for your many readers. Being a supervisor for California's Department of Fish and Game sounds like a full-time job in itself. What's your secret? How do you keep your energy level up to such a high notch and not get burned out?

Answer: The strong passion for writing and investigating. It keeps me on an adrenalin rush. I was once an undercover narcotics agent for the D.S.T. (Drug Suppression Team) / C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Division) in Germany for the US Army. I later became a private investigator for my own company Silhouette, Enterprises. That is where I learned to have a love for investigating.

4. Tell us some about this organization that you work with that is called HPI, Haunted and Paranormal Investigations International, for which I understand that you are a General Manager, Paranormal Investigator and Ghostwriter.

Answer: Shannon 'Ms. Macabre' McCabe is the owner of HPI and of course I am the General Manager. We have scouting missions to various haunted locations. During scouting missions, Ghosthunters-in-Training will learn how to use various ghosthunting equipment and learn the procedures to properly investigate. We investigate ALL things paranormal, from UFOs to Bigfoot. Shannon and I are Fortean Investigators or you can call us Esoteric Detectives. There is no paranormal case we will turn down. Shannon and I, have curious minds. Since I write so many paranormal articles, we get contacted all the time for private home investigations. Clients find my email and phone number on all of my articles. I am the most easily assessable paranormal investigator in the United States. I can be reached 24/7. HPI can be found here: www.hpiparanormal.net Special Note: Shannon showed me how to ghosthunt right from the beginning, now I teach everyone else on how to ghosthunt. When we get EVPs, Shannon came up with the McCabe Method of obtaining EVPs. It's simple, we ask a simple question like 'is there anyone here?'. We pause, giving the entity time to speak and then play back. Many times we have obtained EVPs like this in real time. Why let a recorder run all night and then analyze it the next day, all day? That doesn't make sense. If you ask me what my name is, I am not going to wait 2 hours and tell you my name is Paul.

5. In one of your latest articles, I see you're also an "HPI Ufologist," which brings up another area of considerable interest to me. In this recent feature, you delved into reports of UFO activity over military bases on the East Coast. You've been in contact with one John Vasquez, author of Incident at Fort Benning, a former U.S. Army soldier who claims that in September 1977, at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was among an estimated 1300 soldiers who witnessed a fleet of UFOs over that military facility. In addition, he claims that many were left with severe psychological trauma following the incident, and some had "missing time" and may have been "abducted." Recently a Ken Darnell, a Correctional Training Specialist II of the Dan River Prison Work Farm in Yanceyville, N.C. came forward and described seeing a fleet of UFOs over Ft. Benning that same year, while in the company of other soldiers. However, in his instance he believes that sighting occurred in either March or April of 1977.

Then you drop a bombshell of sorts, testifying in your article to the fact that back in July 1974, while stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, that you and two other soldiers saw six glowing blue discs in a V formation flying over that military base. Then the objects left that formation and flew off "erratically" in "different directions and simply vanished in front of our eyes."

Do you think that they simply left at a very high speed, or did they seem to literally vanish, as in dematerialize? How big were there objects, how high up did they appear to be, and how fast did they seem to be moving?

Answer: I would say the objects were 15 feet in length. The objects were about 1000 feet in the air. When they erratically took off at incredible speeds, the speeds and movement of the craft was nothing any military conventional aircraft was able to do. The speeds were 0 to 5000 mph in a split second that is the only way I can describe it.

While we're on the subject, have you had any other UFO experiences you'd care to share?

Answer: During my time with Military Intelligence, I was a 97 Bravo (Intelligence Analyst). I was stationed at PIC-K (Photo Interpretation Center in Korea). I saw 6 photos that came in. The photos were part of a bigger picture, satellite reconnaissance aerial video footage of UFOs. Each photo represented one reel of video footage. All photos were marked 'intelligent movement'. I had to assign a number to each photograph and then pass the photos to the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) and finally to the CIA. Besides that, you know about the 6 UFOs seen in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. In 1976, I lived with a girl named Helen Lang and while I watched TV, she was screaming on the top of her lungs, because there was a UFO hovering 200 feet above her head. The TV I was watching went into static. Helen reported this sighting to J. Allen Hynek. J. Allen Hynek asked me what I was doing, I told him I was watching TV. J. Allen Hynek asked if the TV went into static mode when Helen saw the UFO and I said 'yes'. Come to find out, 2 other people saw Helen's UFO that Summer of 1976 in Sacramento, validating Helen's story.

6. What's your own pet theory or belief system when it comes to UFOs?

Answer: Very simple, we have billions and billions of planets out there, some of those planets have primitive life, and others have intelligent life that equals to life here on Earth. Then there are planets that have advanced ancient intelligent life. Ancient intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations are probably visiting and monitoring this planet and mankind. They probably get here via the 'collapse theory' method. The collapse theory is the concept of writing Point A at the top of the paper and Point B on the bottom, fold it in the middle and Point A and Point B connect. Extraterrestrial intelligences travel the cosmos via wormholes and dimensional portals.

7. Over the years, what have been some of the most interesting and rewarding cases that stick out in your memory?

Answer: Saw my first full body apparition in Marysville of a woman who died in her home of alcohol poisoning. I saw the woman walk from one loft to another loft and vanish. The Citrus Heights case where 5 investigators including myself could hear a girl entity giggle and say 'hi' to me. Then later we have a séance and the walls sounded like they were ripping apart, later we hear a series of knocks on the wall. The finale was when a walkie talkie turns on and a man's voice says loudly: "get out!".

8. How about some of the most frightening and chilling cases you've investigated?

Answer: Demonic case in Lockeford. The two women that lived in this house had bite marks on their bodies and they claimed a demon left the bite marks on them. The faces of the women went from pleasant to sinister. They talked about hating men and wanting to kill men by bashing their heads with baseball bats. Later one of the women is in the living room spinning around and around with a baseball bat in her hands. I knew it was my time to leave.

9. What's makes this work important and worthwhile?

Answer: The proof that there is life after death and that the soul is immortal. Our knowledge, thoughts and what we have seen exist in astral form. Energy cannot be created, nor destroyed, it lives on forever. Our aura is our soul, when the aura leaves the deceased body, it becomes the ghost that people experience and see.

10. If someone new coming into the field of paranormal studies wanted your advice about doing this kind of work, what would you tell them?

Answer: Learn to use the equipment, EMF Readers, temperature gauges, etc. Learn the proper protocol for investigating. Example: You get an anomaly in your photograph, go for a second shot to try and recreate the image. Attempt debunking first. When debunking becomes impossible, then you only have one answer left...the paranormal.
Investigate, seek answers, seek the truth and be safe.

11. What do you foresee for the future of paranormal studies?

Answer: Equipment will evolve and ghosthunting will evolve along with the equipment. We may soon have much more sensitive devices in picking up anomalies.

12. Do you ever have any worries or concerns about 2012?

Answer: The Mayans predicted with accuracy the end of their own civilization. They predicted that future men will drink water from closed containers; we do that now with bottled water. The Mayans said that the Earth will be subject of a galactic alignment with the center of the galaxy on December 21, 2012. The Mayans are correct. The Mayans said that at the center of the galaxy is a womb. Scientists recently discovered a black hole in the center of our galaxy. With all of the dead on accuracies of the Mayans, I would have to say that we will be facing some kind of change on December 21, 2012.

13. What do you hope to accomplish or achieve in your paranormal studies? You've accomplished a great deal already, but is there an ultimate goal that you have in mind that you're working toward?

Answer: Yes, the truth. But, as for accomplishments, Shannon and I have now done about 6 documentaries: Mysteries of Angels and Demons for Ives Street Entertainment, Mothman episode for Monsterquest – History Channel, Conversations with a Serial Killer by Two Four Productions – The Richard Chase aka the Vampire of Sacramento episode; Showtime’s Penn & Teller – Bullsxxxt! 2012 episode; Michael Jackson: In Search of his Spirit by Sky1 and Two Four Productions and a PBS documentary. We keep moving ahead!

Interviewed by Paul Dale Roberts, HPI Paranormal Investigator
Date: December 18, 2009, Saturday
Time: 1000 Hours
Location of Interview: Starbucks, 4981 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, CA

Question: Please tell me something about yourself, you family life, hobbies, recreational activities that you enjoy doing.

Answer: I enjoy singing and dancing

Question: You have lived in Sacramento all your life. Are there places in Sacramento that you are curious about, that you feel may be haunted?

Answer: Yes, I would love to check out places like the Governor’s Mansion, because Nancy Reagan claimed it was haunted and didn’t want to live there. I would love to check out the home of Doreathea Puente. Mmmmmm…well, how about Old Sacramento, Delta King and those infamous tunnels underneath Old Sacramento? What’s with the house on 22nd and H Street. If I get into a real good mood and have an airline ticket in my hand, I would love to investigate the haunting of the Amityville House!

Question: You had some very interesting paranormal experiences. Please explain to me your first experience and where it happened at.

Answer: I was in third grade I would have dreams about something coming through my grandparent’s bedroom window and I woke up one night to use the restroom but I would leave the bathroom door open cause I was scared of the bloody Mary and candy man stories and I glanced over to my grandparent’s room and saw a man with long hair sitting next to my baby cousin’s crib staring out the same window I would have nightmares about, he looked at me with glowing red eyes and had no reflection. This occurred in North Highlands.

Question: So this is a dream you had when you were in third grade. Do you think it was an over active imagination or do you really think it was something of a paranormal nature that you were experiencing?

Answer: I believe it was paranormal because my dreams seem to be on a psychic level. I will have dreams that are very vivid and most of the times, my dreams will come true or the event will act out, just like it happened in my dream.

Question: Okay, tell me about your strange dreams, can you elaborate more about this?

Answer: I have dreams that have come true. Also, I dream about the people that once lived in haunted places where I lived. It’s as if I am looking through the deceased person’s eyes and see what they saw when they were alive.

Question: What happened to you at Yankee Hill?

Answer: I fell asleep with a mirror facing my bed and I woke up feeling something rubbing my leg and I flipped over to see who it was and all there was is a shadow on the wall. This happened when I was 14 years old.

Question: And Oroville?

Answer: It was the night of my junior prom instead of going, me and my now husband rented a motel. It was weird the whole time we were in the room I felt angry, sad and alone but I felt perfect out of the room. This room had a Jacuzzi by the bed and a sink near the Jacuzzi. When my boyfriend (now my husband) and I got into the Jacuzzi, I freaked out and had to get out of the Jacuzzi. I couldn’t be in the Jacuzzi. I slept with every single light on and I had a dream that the Jacuzzi was running so I got up to shut it off and went to the mirror to wipe the steam off and a lady was behind me looking very mean and upset. She was drenched from head to toe and had long black curly hair she was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. I woke up from this dream and packed and got out. I was 17 years old when this Oroville experience happened.

Question: And explain your experiences in North Highland.

Answer: I told you about my first experience in North Highland when I was in third grade, but I also had another experience when I was in 5th grade. I went to Six Flags one day and I was sick by the time I got home and I was coughing and had a fever. I came home to find out my uncle had passed away. I was so distraught I never got to say good bye that weekend. I stayed the night with my cousins, this is the same house he passed away in and every one was sleeping but me and then I heard this click, click, click and I ignored it. The click, click noise got louder and finally I turned around and in the corner of the room I saw this figure. An immediate calm came over me I went to sleep.

Question: Do you feel you might be a sensitive and that is why you are witnessing so many paranormal events?

Answer: Yes, I believe I am a sensitive.

Question: Are you still being haunted?

Answer: I always feel like something is always with me, watching me. It’s creepy sometimes.

Question: Have you ever had any of type of paranormal experience, such as a UFO sighting or anything that is out-of-the-ordinary.

Answer: No I have not.

Question: You dabble with tarot cards? Please explain.

Answer: When I was 14, my friend’s mom did a tarot reading on me and two weeks later it happened just as she said it would. I was hooked from there so I started doing readings myself.

Question: You mentioned you will have a dream and then it will come true. Can you give me a couple of examples?

Answer: I had a dream that my brother was riding his bike on Concow Road and got hit by a car and a month later I get a phone call that he was riding his bike on Concow Road and he got hit by a truck. I have dreams about money and somehow I get money from unexpected sources. I may have a dream about someone I haven’t seen for a long time and then I will run into that person in my dream.

Question: Is there anything else you might want to add, that we may have missed in this interview?

Answer: No, I think we are good, thank you for the interview.

Paul: Thank you.

Can you believe it the Hopis envisioned their own type of Rapture, where they are taken away in wingless metallic ships? I only wonder if the Rapture has any foundation of reality and truth. Is it possible that all of the people in the world that are being abducted by aliens are also being implanted with a tracking device that will allow the aliens to rapture them into the heavens?

December 15, 2009, Tuesday, Time: 20:06 Hours. My paranormal cellular hotline is ringing off the hook; the ringtone 'X-Files' is heard. I answer the phone and I hear a guy screaming in the background. His two buddies have me on the speaker phone and they are explaining to me that their friend witnessed a Mothman. I can tell by the yelling, screaming, loud talking that everyone must be intoxicated. Just a hunch.

The callers call 8 times this Tuesday evening and they are screaming in my ear about their Mothman sighting. One of the guys claim that they saw Mothman first in South Florida and now it has followed them to Sacramento. They claim the Mothman swooped down from the Sacramento Tower Bridge and almost grabbed their screaming friend. They claim that their friend is hysterical and he is unable to speak to me. Their message is incoherent and some of their talk becomes abrasive and brash. I get fed up with the calls and hang up on them. They continue to call me and tell me to get out to the Tower Bridge. I finally shut down my cell phone completely; I will deal with them tomorrow, when all three will be sober (hopefully).

It is now Wednesday and I call them back. I leave messages and no return phone calls. Finally one of the men calls me back. I asked him if he was the one that called me last night about a Mothman story, he says yes. I ask him what his name is and he doesn't want to disclose his name. I explain to him, before I take down his Mothman story, I want a source for this story. If someone wants to know the identity of the Mothman victims, I want that someone to be able to find them to clarify their story. Basically, I want their story validated with some kind of authenticity. I don't know how many times I have told stories that have been told to me, by people who want to remain anonymous. But, in this case where the callers sound intoxicated and they call my number 8 times, I am going to place a source for this story in the article.

The man I was talking to, explained he did not want to be identified and I explained to him, that his phone number was on my cell phone and that I would utilize his phone number as the source of the information. He then back tracked with his story and begged me to not publish his phone number into my article. He apologized for calling me so many times last night and told me that I would never be bothered again by him or his friends. Thinking to myself: 'Ahhhh...so this was a prank?'

I think what ticked me off about this call is that I could tell that the callers were intoxicated. I do not mind getting a phone call from a sober person that wants to remain anonymous, but when I get a call from 3 loud talking drunkards, it sort of takes me over-the-edge. So, let this be a warning to any intoxicated so-called paranormal witness, if you call me, you best be sober or you could find your phone number published in my article as being the source of the story.

SSDIS (Supernatural Strategic Deployment Intelligence Squad)
Hey Paul, my name is Dirk and I am with the SSDIS (Supernatural Strategic Deployment Intelligence Squad), I have talked with you a few times on email, I just want to let you know we had a spectacular investigation last night. The home we were investigating is about 56 years old. The 2nd owner of the home that lived in this home in 1967 was mentally unstable and committed suicide by slicing his throat with a straight razor in front of the mirror while under the influence of a hallucinogenic (perhaps LSD). While we were investigating this home, we obtained one EVP that said: "Leave me alone!" It was the voice of a man, we detected a Southern accent in the voice too. During the investigation a light bulb blew out and there was glass all over the kitchen floor. Later one of my investigators was struck with an ash tray. The ash tray seemed to fly out of the bedroom and into the dining room area ,then it smacked my investigator right in his chest. He is doing fine, but was very startled from this experience. Paul, we are going back to investigate this home, if you like you are more than welcome to join us. The address is: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

We call the entity 'Straight Razor Ross'. The occupants who live here now, think the guy that killed himself was named Ross, we are doing some research on the place now, I will let you know what we find. Anyway, this Ross ghost has been seen walking around the house with a straight razor and of course the occupants were completely creeped out. The occupants say that sometimes late at night, it sounds like a man is running around on their roof and sometimes they see the man in the bathroom mirror holding a straight razor with blood flowing from his neck. Crazy huh? Let us know if you want to investigate this home, I know it's far, but just let us know. Your new friend Dirk.

WISE...for 2012?
A satellite probe went up called The Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). This satellite will be mapping the universe and looking for any threatening asteroids or comets. It is rumored that on December 21, 2012, that we could be impacted by a meteor. What a coincidence that WISE is now orbiting Earth and is out looking for a possible dangerous threat to Earth. Does the government know something that we don't know or perhaps the government doesn't want to take any chances on the Mayan Prophesy of 2012. Hmmmmmm.

2012 Dream:
December 13, 2009, Sunday: I had the craziest dream (nightmare) and I must relate it here. I dreamt it was Dec 21, 2012 and I was at a drive-in with my son Jason and my ex-wife Patricia. Why I would be at a drive-in with my ex-wife and son is beyond me. Anyway, there was an announcement on the intercom that said that we are now confined at the drive-in and the National Guard and police are barricading us inside the drive-in. We were now under martial law and if we were to leave the confines of the drive-in parking lot, we could be shot and killed. Then I woke up. Weird. Paul Dale Roberts.

Interviewed by Paul Dale Roberts, Sacramento Press Journalist

Question: Before we really get into this interview, please tell me something personal about yourself. Your family life, where you were born and raised. Hobbies and recreational activities you are involved in besides your artistic photography.

Answer: First and foremost, I am the mother of a lovely six year old and I have to admit she is often times the subject of my personal photography. But I am a woman of many labels; I suppose my greatest desire is to be a renaissance woman. I want to do it all and experience it all! But there isn’t just enough time in life. Aside from photography, I have other artistic endeavors such as poetry and drawing. Possibly one of my favorite hobbies is learning languages. I really enjoy exploring the similarities and differences between them and of course speaking it! Speaking a new language is like solving a puzzle—it is so personally gratifying.

Question: How many languages can you speak?

Answer: Well obviously, I speak English and I am also a native Spanish speaker. I took four years of French in high school but I have to admit a little rusty. I started learning Italian in June and I really love it! So officially, I speak two but I like to think I speak four!

Question: How did you get into artistic photography? What type of art do you create?

Answer: This is a really difficult question because it wasn’t something that happened suddenly but it was a gradual evolution. I have to say that I am fascinated by people and language. I like to incorporate these two elements into my fine art photography as much as I can. And although photography is my main artistic endeavor, I also like to draw and paint.

Question: What is it that you paint? Now you have me really curious.

Answer: I like to paint words and shapes. Whenever I paint, I have to incorporate words because they are such an important aspect of our lives. It amazes me that these things we call letters are really only shapes that symbolize a certain sound which in turn is transformed into a meaning in our minds. It’s so fascinating! This is why I always include words in my paintings and symbolic imagery. There is always something to tell…

Question: What inspired you to get into this field?

Answer: Photography has been an interest for me for a very long time. My love began when I was in elementary school, when my parents noticed my love for the camera bought me my first point and shoot when I was in sixth grade. My photography has been developing ever since. In high school, I was highly influenced by the work of Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Weston. I knew then that I wanted to get into photography as my career, so I went to art school in San Francisco.

Question: What are some of the places you love to photograph in Sacramento?

Answer: I really like railroad yards and abandoned buildings. Though really, I just photograph whatever inspires me at any given moment. I should mention I love the tile at the State Capitol—what a great checkered pattern!

Question: What do you feel is the greatest achievement you have done with your work?

Answer: I think the greatest achievement I have done with my work is meeting other incredibly talented individuals in Sacramento through my photography. Sacramento is filled with so many amazing artists and I am constantly inspired by them and this city! I also have to admit that selling my first fine art piece was an extremely satisfying moment in my artistic career.

Question: Does your artistic photography have a message or meaning to it?

Answer: Oh yes, there is meaning! It really depends which series of photographs you are looking at. I have been working on a series of photographing graffiti for over five years. I think graffiti is the culmination of my two great loves: imagery and language. I am fascinated by the things that people say when they believe that they have anonymity. This further lead me to photographing bathrooms which is a place people really let loose with their thoughts and beliefs.

Another series I am working on is greatly inspired by the works of Edward Weston. It began with creating self-portraits of myself, but all small sections of my body. I called this series “My Landscape”, it was a series I began only for myself because I wanted to explore my physical terrain from different points of view and celebrate myself. It is a macro photography series where I wanted to explore the truth of myself. But as this project has evolved, I wanted to share my discoveries with others. I discovered that any exploration yields a multitude of interpretations to different people and now I want to explore other bodies to discover further truths. I just love how lines and shapes can create abstract images and how each image yields a story of its own!

Question: Please tell us something about your portrait photography?

Answer: I really feel privileged that when someone asks me to take their portrait. I know that portraits are so important in our lives because they mark special moments in our lives. This brings to mind one of my favorite quotes of Heracleitos, "No one steps into the same river, for what occurs in the next instant is never the same as the first." This is what photography is to me, it is the ability to capture a singular moment that has never occurred and will never occur exactly the same again. This is the singular most important reason why I love portrait photography.

Question: If people want to see your art, where can they find it? Do you have a website?

Answer: Yes, I have a website: www.marianamoscoso.com for anyone reading my interview should come pay me a visit! I also have a link to my blog if you are interested in my life behind the camera.

Question: Hey, off-the-record you mentioned you are traveling overseas. Where are you going? Is this a vacation or something else?

Answer: Oh, I am so excited! I am first going to Nicaragua which is where my mother is from. I am going to visit my family there for the holidays and then I will be going to Europe. I will be going to Amsterdam first and then I will be in Italy. Europe is pleasure and work.

Question: How can people contact you?

Answer: The best way to get a hold of me is through my website or my email moscoso.mariana@gmail.com

Question: You mentioned to me something about your love of art history. Can you elaborate?

Art history, oh art history! To say I love art is an understatement. I think that learning about art is absolutely exhilarating. My favorite epoch in art history has to be the art of fin de siècle (late 1800s) until the 1960s. With this said, I have gone back to school because I want to get my art history degree and possibly get into art curating.

Question: If someone has a request for some kind of artistic work, are you able to accommodate them?

Answer: Yes, I am! All someone needs to do is ask.

Question: Fun question….if you had 6 dinner guests, 3 historical and 3 fictional, who would they be?

Wow this is really hard and possibly one of the most eclectic groups of people. Three historical figures I would love to have dinner with are Diego Veláquez, a Spanish Baroque painter, Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter of early 20th century, and Karl Marx, a Prussian philosopher…oh and I would have to have Friedrich Nietzsche and Niccolò Machiavelli. Do you notice a pattern? I really like philosophy. Sorry, I guess I am not very good with coming up with fictional characters…maybe Belle from Beauty and the Beast because she is smart and brave.

Question: Can I ask you another off-the-wall question? Did you nod ‘yes’? Cool, what is your favorite song?

You love hard questions! My favorite song is completely dependent on my mood but if I narrow it down to two, I would have to say “Mariposa en Havana” by Si*Se and “Wonderwall” remake of Ryan Adams. Ryan Adams really captures the mood of the song in a way that I feel really fits the lyrics.

Question: What are your favorite TV shows, movies, books?

Answer: I don’t watch TV. I don’t agree with it though I really do like movies especially foreign and indie films. I’m on a total Almodóvar and Fellini kick right now. As for books, I have so many that I love but I am going to be a girl right now and say that my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I am a sucker for romance.

Question: Thank you for this fantastic interview. Do you have any words of wisdom for your readers?

Thank you so much for this interview! I’ve had a good time. My words of wisdom would be: Never stop dreaming because life would be nothing without imagination.

Renee Martine is a Sacramento area psychic and this is her analysis of the 11:11 phenomenon. Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager / www.hpiparanormal.net

How long has this phenomenon being taking place? Where does this door lead to? It is my belief that it is truly Divine intervention. Some say this occurrence is a coincidence, some say we have pre-coded this in our memory to wake up. I say it is a reminder for us to understand why we are all here, and what have we come here for. Have you not asked yourself this question quite a lot recently, “what is next for me, and what my purpose in life is? But, no one knows for certain what this answer is and why it has affected thousands, if not millions of lives. I am reminded of the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." A group of individuals with a remarkable knowing of an event, when to be at a certain time and place, without knowing why, but they trusted the signs and did what they felt they needed to do to satisfy their curiosity and because they KNEW it was their path. They knew it with every part of their being, and even though it didn’t make sense, and even if it meant loosing their families and friends, they pursued and did what they knew they had to do without knowing what the outcome would entail.

Perhaps the answer is different but the same for us all. Perhaps the answer is in our biological calendar? Perhaps our Biological calendar is sending us a reminder to WAKE UP and REMEMBER who you are. We have all been asleep for a very long time. We are now reminding ourselves on a very profound level that there IS so much more to the planet earth than we have been TOLD. It is time to remember, it is time to allow ourselves to live and love and be the powerful human beings we came to earth to be.

We can no longer trust in what we are being ‘told’ we have to ask ourselves the question, and TRUST the answer, as it is going to be different for us all. But, it is the same for us all, as millions of people across the globe are having the SAME experiences!! People across the globe are asking the same question. The answer is within us all, yet we continue to ask, what does it all mean?

Through my research I have discovered the 11:11 phenomenon dating back as far as 1992. I would bet that it goes back even further than this. As you will see, there are personal 11’s and worldly 11 experiences.

The follow are some occurrences of 11:11 and other numbers that either add up to 11.
I have discovered over the last year; the name of the street I lived on Swindon Road = 11, my birthday, January (1st calendar month) 29th (2+9=11) = 1/11. I'm driving down the road, and for some reason I look at my odometer and right at that moment it read 111165 (11-11-6+5 = 11).
Our new President, Barack Obama = 11, our former President George W. Bush = 11.

Other 11's worth mentioning is the tragedy of 9/11. September 11, 9/11 as it is now known as 9+1+1=11. The first plane to crash into the Two Towers (1+1=2) was flight 11, the crew on board = 11, the total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes were 254 - 2+5+4=11.

Crop circles are really talking to us, as you can see in this picture. If you have ever watched the X-Files, the logo is “We Are Not Alone”. We can’t deny them anymore. When I refer to them, I am referring to our Galactic Family.

These are some examples of the 11:11, in addition to the many, many people all over the world since 1992 (see references below) have been experiencing this phenomenon, and either have some idea of what it means, none of which can say with absolute certainty what 11:11 means. I say to you, what does it mean for you? Many, many people have been searches for this truth, including myself self for a long time now. I have come to the conclusion that the answer is simply, WAKE UP! REMEMBER who you truly are, that we are not alone in the vastness of the Universe. We are consciously remembering, so remember, and meditate and find your truths, because we all have them, and we should trust that.

There has also been some whom believe that this phenomenon connected to 2012. My research leads me to some very interesting information. According to the Mayan calendar, December 21st, 2012; the sun, having received a powerful ray of synchronizing light from the center of the galaxy, would change it's polarity which would produce a great cosmic event and create a series of mass destruction to this planet, and thrust human kind into preparation for the new era. It is said that this will all take place on 12/21/2012 - 1+2+2+1+2+1+2 = 11. Even more interesting is this—on 12/21/2012 at 11:11am the Mayan calendar ends. It is in my opinion that the Mayan calendar ends, not mankind.

Some may see this as the end days, it is my intention to show this as the beginning of a new era, The Golden Age, The Age of Aquarius. It is after December 21, 2012, that the Mayans say humanity will be ready to go through the door that will be there for them to pass through, transforming our civilization based on fear to a vibration much higher in harmony. Just think, all of those hippies from the 60's had it right all along; through the 12 signs of the zodiac we are moving into The Age of Aquarius, and our friend 11 presents it's self once again, as Aquarius is the 11th sign in the Zodiac. Remember, remember, remember, it is you, and it is me, and it is us all that will be the change we all want to see in the NOW so that we can all have a FUTURE.

Finally, I would also like to note that not only are 11's talking to us, but other very distinctive numbers for example; 444, 222, 333, 10:10, 12:12, 12:10, etc. I believe these are all part of this process. Believe, and remember who you are friends.

Added Note by Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager:
Renee is a gifted psychic. She is a top-notch HPI Paranormal Investigator and she is one of my dearest friends! Renee will succeed in anything that she sets her mind to do.

Jacqueline does readings from her office in Sacramento. This is her interview that details the paranormal activity in her life. Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager, Ghostwriter, Paranormal Investigator / www.hpiparanormal.net

Question: Tell me something personal about yourself, your family life, schools you went to?

Answer: I was born in Pennsylvania, but most of my life I have lived in Sacramento with the exception of brief periods in Arizona and the North Bay Area of California. I am a mother, grandmother and I work in the field of education. I attended private and public schools in the Sacramento area.

Question: Why do you call yourself a medium?

Answer: I am clairsentient and clairaudient. I have the ability to feel. I get confirmation through temperature changes or goose bumps. I sometimes can pick up the physical pain someone is feeling. As for clairaudience, it is the ability to hear psychic impressions or ‘confirmations’. The voice I hear is a young male, so I am thinking it is Saint Michael, my favorite angel.

Question: Tell us about some of your paranormal experiences.

Answer: I encountered something on 63rd Street at a home I bought back in the 90’s. At the time, there was a television show on NBC called “The Other Side”. It was on every mid-morning Monday through Friday. My daughter had a “Tinkerbelle” wand that was battery operated but broken and unusable in her bedroom. This was the method of contact with this side.

This one day, I sit down to watch this show and the thing starts playing the musical tune programmed in it. Odd, I think, because I knew it had no power source, so I get up to go see what’s going on and it stops playing. OK, I think, I am hearing things. So, I go back into the living room with the kids. I start watching the show and it starts playing again. I go back into the room and I get this chilly feeling and the hairs on my arm start crawling. I say out loud, “Is this Grandma?”, for some reason thinking it was she who was trying to get in touch with me. No answer. I go back in the living room and just as my seat hits the couch cushion, it bleeps once. I go back into the room and I say, “OK, I don’t know who you are but this is my house now.” My daughter had followed me and asks me from the doorway who I was talking to. I just told her I was talking to myself out loud. I later found out a few things about the house and the prior owners. There had been a divorce and subsequently a suicide that had taken place somewhere else. Maybe it was their spirits’ way of ‘checking me out’ to see who the new residents were.

That was probably the one really big thing I have to share but in reality, I should think of all of them as ‘big things’. I have had lots of minor experiences and so has my daughters. We take it as being normal in our family. I know that one of my daughters will follow in my footsteps but she hasn’t begun to fully realize it yet.

Question: How did you learn that you were a medium?

Answer: I have always ‘known’ things about people. It is the impressions I get from being in their presence. I was that precocious child that blurted out things at the most inappropriate times – how I now know what that can do to a parent as I had kids of my own!

The Dell Horoscope magazine was a steady read in my young years, kind of like other kids read the comic books. There were things we ‘just did’ around the house that I can now see from my training in Southern folklore that were of a hoodoo or rootwork nature. These are things more than just throwing salt over your shoulder. I was told my great grandmother was a Native American Herbal or Medicine Woman and belief in spirits were the norm for me. My mother became quite upset when I began my studies in Santeria. As much as I can figure, since my family hails from Southwestern Louisiana, it must have triggered some folkloric or voudou memories or there was a really unpleasant experience with that.

Question: How do you help people?

Answer: When I do a tarot card reading with Obi divination, I give the client various levels of methodologies that they can apply or consider to rectify their personal issues they are experiencing. Depending on their problem and where their comfort level is in familiarity (due to their culture) I can either talk to you like a mother or big sister, whip you up a good luck mojo bag, or make an offering at the river to the Goddess Ochun for your love life. Obi divination is a binary system in order to get a “Yes” or “No” answer to questions being posed. In ritual, we use four pieces of fresh coconut, but you can also use cowrie shells, which I use with the tarot reading. It is really quite accurate when you pose the questions right.

Question: You were telling me about the religion of Santeria, can you elaborate about your connection to this religion?

Answer: I was drawn to it after the birth of my last child. I kept wondering why the candle section of the neighborhood Luckys (a supermarket chain at the time) was cleaned out every weekend. It led me to Mr. Keys and his candle shop and from there, into the world of Santeria. Santeria is the synchronization of Catholicism and the indigenous African nature based belief system of Ifa and Lucumi. I am an aborisha; a practitioner that is not fully initiated. I have to do my final and largest initiation. I have been affiliated with the religion for over 13 years.

Question: How can someone contact you? Do you have a website?

Answer: I have several. For tarot readings, one can go to http://www.tarotbyjacqueline.com. I also write candle spells and other topics related to candles on a free informational site, http://www.free-candle-spells.com. I also offer spiritual supplies such as oils and more at another site at http://www.lucky13clover.com .

Question: How can someone make an appointment with you for a reading?

Answer: They can e-mail me or call my number on the website. I do readings in my home for local clients, telephone readings for those living in the United States and I do written readings for international clients.

Question: You have been experiencing ectoplasm phenomenon, can you explain?

Answer: The question about ectoplasm came about because I have done a reading for a woman twice now in the past four months and both times not only have I became extremely exhausted, but I get a feeling that I have to ‘work my own spirit’ and so I go out into the back yard and I sip a little white rum and smoke a cigar (both crucial to work in Santeria) and I can cough up a stream of clear-and-yet-foamy slime that I was jokingly calling ‘ectoplasm’. After watching a movie called “The Haunting in Connecticut”, it got me thinking about what it was and that is why I contacted H.P.I.

Question: Are you going to any psychic fairs and if you are, which ones?

Answer: Out of respect of the other producers, I do not read at their local fairs anymore because I am also a producer of a metaphysical fair called the Holistic Healing Expo in Elk Grove, CA (http://www.holistichealingexpo.com). To read at their fair wouldn’t be ethical in my opinion, since everyone there that is also a vendor at my expo will want to come ‘talk shop’ with me. I do readings in the privacy of my home and also for clients who have a small get together in their homes. I also do telephone readings and reading reports for international clients.

Question: What are your hobbies and recreational activities?

Answer: I LOVE to read when I get the chance to plant myself on the couch. I have varied interests in many subjects. I am still taking classes at our local community college, where I am also working with the cultural anthropology department with students who want to do field work in cultural studies in indigenous religions. I grow and harvest some of my herbs I use in the condition spiritual oils and baths I make for clients. I love to cook and I perform with a group here in Sacramento, Ebo Okokan, which is the only Afro-Cuban drum and dance group in the area. We do the traditional songs of the Orichas (pronounced or-ree-CHAS) who are the gods and goddesses of Santeria as well as congo and rhumba songs in Spanish.

Question: This ends the interview. Thank you. Any last words of wisdom?

I was always told that the spirits or those that have passed on are on the other side of a two-way mirror – we can’t see them but they can see us. Ancestor reverence is crucial in African based religions because it is the fact that great-grandpapa met great-grandmama is why you are here today. Once passed over, their job is to guide their progeny. In many films, you will see ancestor reverence like the example in the movie “Soul Food”, where once Grandma passes on, Vanessa Williams makes sure there is a setting at the head of the table to invite her Spirit to join them in the feast. We make food offerings as well in Santeria. There is a saying that you pay homage to the egungun (the dead) before the Orichas. We have an altar set up for that very purpose. If you are lucky to connect with a spirit of an ancestor, ask them what you can do for them. Maybe they just want a glass of water, a cigarette, a chocolate or a shot of whiskey – something just to remember what it was like on this side. This is not too far from the Latino culture of the Day of the Dead where the family picnics at the cemetery and food, liquor and more are laid out for the deceased loved ones. Funny, but how true is it that there are a lot of similarities in cultures?

Noel Desilets is the drummer for the Sacramento based band called Ash Black. They will be performing at Witchapalooza at Cal-Expo on October 10th and October 11th, 2009. Below is her paranormal story. Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager www.hpiparanormal.net

Question: First off tell us something about yourself. Maybe something about your family life, schools you may have attended, work that you do, etc.

Answer: Well I grew up in Tucson, AZ. I lived in the house I grew up in for most of life. My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years and we recently relocated to California to be closer to my mother. My father died about 9 years ago. As far as a job goes I work with people who are developmentally disabled and I provide home care for the elderly.

Question: You have a very interesting story. It appears that you have been experiencing the paranormal all your life, can you please explain how it started off?

Answer: Honestly I’m not sure when it started, it’s just always been an interest of mine since I was little. The thought of a ghost used to scare the crap out of me. After a few up close and personal experiences, I just chose not to be scared anymore. I can control the situation or I can be bullied by these unseen forces. Not that I believe all ghosts are bullies, I’ve had many wonderful experiences as well, but at one point of time I was being picked on.

Question: Please talk about some of the paranormal experiences that you have experienced throughout your life.

Answer: As I got older and started actually paying attention to what was going on around me, I realized that I could sense when there was a threatening, dark or evil (however you want to say it) presence that I may pick up on. I don’t think that’s a “unique” ability, I believe we all have it, we just don’t always acknowledge it.

One night I was home alone, and I felt very nervous and scared, so I slept with the hall light on….I was laying in bed and felt like something was wrong, I opened my eyes to a HUGE black shadow standing over me. Very demonic in form and it was reaching for me. I could see the form so well because it was perfectly back lit by the hall light. I immediately turned on my light and of course it was gone. I began to pray (I have a very strong faith in God) and I commanded it to leave my house and leave me alone. The house was immediately calm and so was I. I have had many experiences like that but more just feeling the evil around me, messing with me and it can be nerve wracking at times. I refuse to fear it and I fight it, I won’t be messed with.

For a more pleasant experience…As I mentioned before I lost my father. We were very close (as I am with my parents) and he literally died in my arms as I promised he would, (he had cancer). I kept telling him how I loved him, as he was in his last moments and everytime I did he took another breath, so my mom told me I needed to quit doing that and let him go. So that’s what I did and he took his last breath. A couple days later I arrived back in AZ with some stuff of his that I kept. I was sitting alone in the living room and I heard 3 distinct knocks on the door leading to the garage. No one uses that door, but my Dad always used it to go in and out, when he lived there. I opened the door and there was no one there. A few days later I was sitting with a friend in the living room and again and heard the 3 distinct knocks. I ignored it, waiting to see if she heard it also. Sure enough she said “Noel there’s someone at your door.” I said there wasn’t and she didn’t believe me so we went to the door and opened it and there was no one there….I said hi to my Dad and asked him too be cool, because he was scaring my friend (and he always loved to scare people).

One time I was working an overnighter at a home for adults with D.D. My staff told me the house was haunted, but I took it with a grain of salt until that night. I was in the office when I heard a blood curdling scream, something out of a horror movie. I ran through the house and checked on everyone and they were all sleeping. When I got back to the office there was that wicked feeling again and I could smell sulfur. I confronted it for the better part of 2 hours off and on. I was pissed because it wasn’t just me getting messed with, this entity was also messing with my clients and putting them at risk. It eventually left and no one ever had experiences in that house again.

Question: Why do you think that paranormal activities are part of your life?

Answer: I honestly don’t know.

Question: Do you think that the paranormal activities that you experience have something to do with your creative energy that you exert with your band Ash Black?

Answer: Possibly, I’ve never really thought about it. But my music is definitely my outlet. I write all the lyrics (for the most part) and they are based on personal experiences from all kinds of things. Our song “Fear” was written about the time in my life before I chose not to be scared of the paranormal and had a lot of nightmares and such.

Question: Does the band Ash Black have a website? How can someone contact you?

Answer: www.myspace.com/ashblacklist

Question: On a personal level, can you tell me about your recreational activities and hobbies besides playing in a band and ghosthunting on the side?

Answer: I like to work out with my mom, it’s good “mommy and me” time. I LOVE cartoons and collecting them on DVD. My favorite it is to sit in bed with my hubby and 2 cats and watch some “Superfriends”!

Question: You have some unusual tattoos, can you tell me what some of the tattoos represent?

Answer: I have one for my Father with a Columbian Red Tail boa and a black panther, we are a family of animal lovers and one point we had like 50 different kinds of snakes including the boa who was our favorite. Her name was Simon. I got one of a drunk turkey, yes I said turkey, with my grandfather’s name underneath “Virgil” He like to drink Wild Turkey. And course I have some of my favorite characters: Scooby Doo, Mickey Mouse, The Flintsones and The Jetsons. That’s just a few.

Question: This ends the interview, any words of wisdoms to our readers?

Answer: Fear is a natural reaction to what we don’t know…but we can choose not to let it control us. Face your fears, you’ll be stronger for it.

Note: Noel is a HPI Paranormal Investigator-in-training, tonight on Sept 11, 2009 is her first investigation with HPI. Good luck Noel.

Ghosthunters Get Busy During Halloween
By Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager/Ghost Hunter/Ghostwriter

It’s getting close to Halloween. People want to get scared. The date is October 21, 2008, Tuesday. The Stockton Record wants me to do an initial investigation at a legendary haunted home in Stockton. The home is located at N. Pershing Street. Waiting for me in this home are the lovely Christine Taylor, her brother and videographer. The owner Rick Freeman, his enchanting daughter Bobbie Lawson and her grandmother are also waiting.

The owner gives me a briefing about this home that reminds me of a cross between a countryside cottage and a European castle. Legend has it, that it was built in 1925 by the man that built the Stockton Hotel. One of the stories that are constantly told in Stockton is that a man committed suicide by hanging himself in this home after his fiancée called off their wedding. People say that a little boy apparition has been seen looking outside from the attic window. People have heard a little boy and little girl crying and when they investigate to see where the children are, there are no children crying, nor are there any children for that matter. Many people think that the little boy was confined to the basement and died of starvation. As I looked into the basement, Bobbie showed me crayon marks that read: ‘Hi there, bye there.’

Rick Freeman, the owner bought the home as an investment. He tells me that the longest any occupant lived in this house was for 6 years, all others stayed in this house no longer than 6 months. Many former occupants feel that the home is cursed. Family tragedies have occurred to previous homeowners after they moved out of the home. I used divining rods and asked if there was an entity in the house. The rods crossed indicating yes. I asked the rods to take me to the location where the entity was. It took me to the garage. Note: Divining rods are not a sound science, but should only be used for experimentation. Checking my digital audio recorder, I have a menacing sound that sounds like a man growling, I need to place this on audacity to verify the sound. My photographs display a huge amount of orb activity. I plan to prepare a December scouting mission to this location and see what we can fully discover at the most haunted house in Stockton.

After leaving Stockton, I prepared to head over to Old Sacramento. Awaiting Shannon McCabe and I, were Robert James Neep (videographer) and Jonathan Mumm (news reporter) of Channel 10 News. They wanted Shannon and I, to take them to the spooky haunts of Old Sacramento. The first place we took the Channel 10 crew was Evangelines. Shannon (employee) of Evangelines gave us a grand tour of the haunted basement. Story has it that a 49er (miner) apparition was seen down here. A piece of cloth and a knick knack hovered in the air in front of two employees and then came crashing down, scaring the daylights out of the Evangeline’s employees. Footsteps have been heard and once an employee was pushed from behind. In the 70s, a nightclub called D.O. Mills was located on the third floor. Late at night, employees have heard music, laughter and dancing from those old disco days. What is interesting is that in the 70s, I would actually dance at D.O. Mills and several other nightclubs, I was the 3rd and 5th disco king in the 70s. Perhaps my residual haunting energy is still trapped in time at D.O. Mills.
After we left Evangelines, we headed over to Fanny Anns. Legend has it that a saloon girl named Angie was flirting with a cowboy patron. Her lover Billy Michaels walked in on her. Being a jealous man, he shot her dead. Angie’s ghost is supposed to haunt the second level.

Then our last stop was Vegas. Shannon explains that Richard Trenton Chase aka the Vampire of Sacramento frequented this establishment. Richard was sort of a wall flower and when asking girls to dance, he was rejected every time. He finally left the establishment in frustration. When Two Four Productions came to Vegas, their psychic was able to pick up the negative energy of Richard Trenton Chase during a séance. Another killer that frequented this establishment was suspected CHP cop killer Lou Rodrigues. Lou is still serving time in Pelican Bay, he’s not a ghost, but I thought this was some notorious information that Channel 10 should know. A lady patron in the early 80s saw a female apparition in the women’s bathroom and came out screaming, because the lady vanished in front of her eyes. Rick the owner of Vegas took us into his office, where the atmosphere seemingly changed and all of us felt a loss of vertigo.

So, you can see, Tuesday was a full night. At 5am on Wednesday morning, I was back up and headed over to Vegas again in Old Sacramento. This time Shannon McCabe and I, waited for Andrew Faulk (videographer) and Natalie Bomke (news reporter) of Fox 40. We were going live this morning. We gave very cheerful Natalie the grand tour of Vegas explaining how to use a variety of ghost equipment and the legends of Vegas that was once known as the Steamboat Navigation in the 70s.

Note: Bobbie recently sent me some updated information via email, here is what she had to say: “Hi, I am not sure if we mentioned this during the investigation today or not, but my dad, grandma, and me heard a child’s voice saying "Momma....Momma" when we were outside by the garage. It seemed to be coming from inside the house, but we thought it could have been in the park across the street or at a neighbors. Of course that is one of the problems with that house, outside it is really noisy. Just something to look for when you look at your recordings. Also, I spoke to my husband and my friends and we are all really interested in doing a night investigation. Like I said I am available on any Saturday so just let me know the date you would like to do this and I will let them know. It does not necesarily have to be in December, so if you would like to do it sooner or later that is fine as well. I see you are pretty busy so just keep me updated.”

The Janet Michalk Story: A Journey into Spiritual Awareness

Janet has a business and it’s called Past Life Connections, it’s her passion. The purpose of her business is assisting clients with past life regressions, spiritualism and healing pass issues for her clients. She is also a Reiki practitioner and paranormal advisor. Janet welcomes any future clients who seek her assistance to come and visit: www.pastlifehapi.com

Now let me tell you something about Janet. Janet doesn’t consider Past Life Connections as a real business, but more of a passionate past time. She loves helping people. She considers herself a psychic and has in the past communicated with the dead.

Let me tell you about an excursion that Janet recently took and the odd turns in the road that Janet usually encounters on a daily basis.

Janet explains that she recently went to Monterey and on the way there, she received an awful headache and the headache became stronger and stronger…and before she knew it they were passing a memorial on the side of the road, in which someone had died. This is usually how Janet’s intuition affects her life. Another example is while in Santa Cruz, she went to the famous Boardwalk. While trying to enjoy the festivities of the Boardwalk, Janet suddenly stopped in her tracks and she felt she was being stabbed through her chest area. The pain became intense and she feels that perhaps there was a murder that occurred in this area. She feels she experienced an imprint that something intense happened at this location.

After this happened, another incident occurred, she felt a cold spot on her back and pressure drop in her ear, which usually indicates that an entity is trying to communicate with her.

As they visited Cannery Row in Monterey, Janet found herself drawn to the pier. Then all of a sudden she had images of dolphins in her mind. She couldn’t get the image out of her head and then all of sudden, her daughter was yelling…”Mom! Dolphins!” Sure enough there was a herd of dolphins.

One of Janet’s strangest cases was a case in Compton. A lady called Janet and told her that things were being knocked over, doors slamming a lot, shadow entities scaring her children and scaring her. During a three hour conversation, Janet heard static bursts during the conversation. Janet comes to the conclusion that the entity was trying to communicate with Janet over the phone. She had the client keep quiet over the phone and asked the entity to make a long burst for a no and two short bursts for a yes. Before she knew it, she was communicating with the entity over the phone. The impression that Janet received was that it was a man and it was playing games with the family, because it did not want to be ignored and it wanted to communicate with the family.

Janet successfully communicated with the entity and tried to convince the entity to go into the light. Janet spent a lot of time communicating with the family and calming the Compton family of these supernatural events. Janet estimated that there were three entities residing at this home. The communication with the entity finally changed from static bursts to actual words spoken by the entity. The voice of the entity sounded throaty and raspy.

There was a lot of intensity with this ordeal. Janet gave it her all to assist this family and hasn’t heard from this family ever again.

Janet has done a lot of house cleansings. Janet makes sure to let me know that all she wants to do is help people and that she is here on this world to assist people with their spiritual needs. Janet’s motto is to selflessly help people in fear or in need.

My observations of Janet is that she is an old spirit and she has a heart of gold. She loves life, she embraces her surroundings and she seeks harmony in the souls of all the people she encounters. She is a healer of people that need the warmth of her spirit. This is Janet’s story, but her story continues….

Gold Rush Ghosts Saga: A Haunting in Arnold
By Paul Dale Roberts, General Manager/Ghostwriter

Date: October 17, 2008, Friday.
Briefing at Paul's Home conducted at 1900 hours.
Arrival Time at Arnold Residence: 2200 hours.
Time investigation Seance Ended: 0400 hours.
Debriefing for the Occupants/Investigators at 0415 hours. Conducted by Lead: Paul Dale Roberts.
Arrival time back to Elk Grove: 0530 hours.

Nancy Bradley - Celebrity Psychic of Ghost Girls www.ghostgirls.net and Robert Reppert of Gold Rush Ghosts www.goldrushghosts.com receive a phone call from Amy Lynn and Vincent Scotto. A frantic Amy explains to Nancy that her home is haunted. Nancy explains to me what the situation is and asks if I would take on the assignment. I agree. I immediately started looking through my dossier of possible paranormal investigators for this case. Amy wants her story told. I decided to bring along the following: Chantal Apodaca, Lia La Bella, Tony Gold and Leatherface. Tony Gold and Leatherface would be able to document any paranormal events for their production company - Off-the-Hook TV.

Tagging along with us would be the media from Stockton, representing the Stockton Record: Christine & Paul J. Taylor. The road to Arnold is a long road. There is a certain part of the road, I call the roller coaster ride road. The road goes up and then it goes down, up and down...well, you get the picture. We past by Murphys and I glance at the very haunted Murphy's Hotel, a place I once visited, but never investigated. Murphy's Hotel first opened in 1856. It is 83 miles southeast of Sacramento. It has hosted notable guests including Mark Twain, John Jacob Astor, and President Ulysses S. Grant. Manager Roxana McClelland says that ghosts are really active and plenty of strange happenings such as "lights on in rooms and signs that someone has been on a bed, even though no one has rented the room and the door was locked."

I was tempted to take my crew into Murphy's Hotel, but decided it was getting late and we needed to get to Arnold, where Amy Lynn Scotto (occupant) would be waiting for us at a Chevron Station at Arnold. Amy was patiently waiting for us and lead us to her gorgeous two-story home in Arnold. We met her husband Vincent and her two playful black Labradors.

On this night, Christine, Leatherface and I would conduct our interview with Amy by pen and notepad, recorder and video recorder. After the interview, teams would be split up to investigate the 2nd floor bedrooms and basement where there was the most activity. Later, lights would be turned off and a second round of investigations would commence. After the 2nd investigation sweep, then we would perform a seance in the most haunted bedroom on the 2nd floor.

Interviewing Amy, we discovered:
They lived in this home for 3.5 years.

In the first 2 or 3 months living in this home, they started to witness activity.

Amy once went into the back room and felt hands on her back.

Amy feels she is a sensitive and has identified 3 entities. Timothy - a 7-year old, an entity that followed Amy to this new home from the place she once lived. The second entity is the ex-girlfriend of Vincent that followed Vincent to this new home. The third entity has always been here. The entity is a black shadow, only the head and torso can be seen and it appears to be a male. Amy feels the third entity is a negative entity.

Amy discovered she was a sensitive at the age of 8 years old.

Amy brought objects from her other home to this new home and feels Timothy followed her to this home, because he was attached to the objects she had brought over.

Amy said at the other home, there was paranormal activity. The stove would come on, on its own. The thermostat would turn on, on its own.

While at this home, one of the strangest incidents is that her friend was sleeping on the bed in the most haunted bedroom n the second floor and was pushed off the bed by Timothy.

Her home is located near a powerline, a good conduit for energy consumption, if there are entities in her home.

People in her home, have felt hands on their backs.

People have felt cold chills in her home.

The thermostat will change temperatures on its own.

Moving shadows have been seen on the second floor steps.

Diane the entity has actually talked to Amy and told her to calm down during stressful times and will comfort her.

Diane will pat Amy on the back during the comforting stage.

Footsteps have been on heard on the second floor and their cat will stare at areas of the house where there is nothing there.

With my interview with Vincent, he has only witnessed the thermostat changing temperatures and had a professional electrician look at the wiring and there was nothing wrong with the wiring of the home.

FINDINGS:
Note: I will not try to identify each investigator to what they saw, I will keep the identity of the investigators generic, because it would be too hard to try and identify what investigator experienced what. Even though their were many experiences, the investigation is inconclusive and hard evidence that this home is haunted is elusive. Further studies of this house is warranted.

During our investigation of this home, the following incidents occurred:
The rocking chair on the second floor rocked on its own for a period of 30 seconds and then stopped, this was witnessed by one investigator and one occupant. This occurred during the time that Leatherface was filming upstairs and the rocking chair area became distorted. Leatherface's video went off during the rocking of the chair, no evidence is obtained of this event.
One investigator felt a sharp coldness on her hand as she investigated the basement.

Seance Activities:
Strange movements were heard in the attic. When looking in the attic, no signs of an animal could be found. The roof is unobtainable to wildlife. The attic was exceptionally clean. Note: These strange movements were also heard during the initial investigation by 4 investigators.
We asked the entities if they could tap on the wall - everyone in the seance heard a minor one tap on the wall. The taps occurred perhaps 14 times. To indicate intelligence, we asked for 2 taps. Two investigators claim to have heard 2 slight taps on the wall, while other investigators did not hear it.
Two investigators claimed to have seen a multicolored orb cross the wall with their own eyes, while other investigators did not see it.
Two investigators claimed to have heard footsteps in the hallway, while others did not hear it.
Two investigators heard a muffled sound of either a woman or child, while others did not hear it.
Walkie talkes were set up in the seance and no transmissions took place.
Paul conducted a hedge of protection prayer on the two seances that were conducted this evening. Two lighted candles were placed in the seance circle.
Closing prayer was performed.
Facilitators for the seance were conducted by Chantal, Lia and Amy.

Investigation & Seance Final Results to this date: Inconclusive. Pending are any EVP results.

Equipment used: Two video cameras, 4 digital cameras, 3 digital recorders, 1 temperature gauge.

Paul Dale Roberts, Lead Investigator's Final Comments:
I believe there could be activity at this home, but plausible explanations need to be looked at further, such as wildlife activity near the home. Raccoons, opossums, deer were seen outside of the home. Since the investigation lasted throughout the night, fatigue may have set in for most of the investigators, causing sensations and visual sightings to occur that could have been misinterpreted. EVPs are still pending from this investigation. Digital photographs display unusual orb activity and in one case a strange shadow configuration near a curtain. Orb photographs cannot be deemed paranormal, unless some type of intelligent response by orb(s) can be obtained. I would say this is a House of Mystery, because there was activity that was seen or felt, that people could perceive as 'paranormal'. As I left this family and their home, I could only wonder at the activity I had witnessed. What was real and what was not real? Like I said, this is a House of Mystery. The Ghost Girls - Nancy Bradley and Shannon McCabe are waiting for the final EVP results of this investigation.

To see pictures of this investigation, go here:
http://www.meetup.com/HPI-International/photos/?photoId=5918147&photoAlbumId=461120

Paul Dale Roberts, HPI General Manager, Paranormal Investigator & Ghostwriter
Haunted and Paranormal Investigations International
www.HPI.paranormal.net
www.ghostgirls.net
www.GoldRushGhosts.com
www.nancybradley.org
WPRT Paranormal Radio - Content Editor
Email: JazmaPika@cs.com
Paranormal Cellular Hotline: 916 203 7503 (for comments on this story).

Special Note: Christine & Paul J. By Paul Dale Roberts, Ghost Girl Paranormal Investigator/Ghostwriter

Nancy Bradley - Celebrity Psychic is just that...a celebrity psychic. Her clients are major players in the entertainment industry, government and in the political arena. This night Friday, October 24, 2008, Shannon McCabe - Ghosthunter Extraordinaire and Nancy Bradley - Celebrity Psychic were to take the Table for Six crew (www.TableforSix.com) on a haunted tour of Old Sacramento. Nancy was called off on an emergency reading for a powerful client and called me and asked if I could take her place. It was an honor. Since I am part of the Ghost Girls Paranormal Investigative Team, it wasn't hard for me to fill in on some of the Ghost Girls ghost stories, especially since I am their ghostwriter.

Let's take a roll call to see who was on this tour: Shannon Logan & Heather Brenner of Table for Six; Steve Haynes, Megan Ham, Carole Vance and Jessica Roberson. Some of the haunted places that Shannon took the Table for Six crew to were: The Delta King, Evangelines, Vega's Night Club & Sports Bar, Fanny Ann's Saloon, Fulton's Restaurant. Note: Since I have written about all of these haunted locations, I will not elaborate more about them in this article and will move onto stories that you have never heard before.

Shannon took the crew to the Old Sacramento School House. The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum was established in September 1977. The design and contents closely match those of the one-room Canon School, built in 1884 to serve students in the Northern California community of Brooks in the Capay Valley (located in Yolo County). Although the school house is relatively new, there is some haunting activity that has taken place here. Footsteps are heard. People have heard ghostly children playing in the school yard. Other type of voices that seem to come out of nowhere are heard and some people who have visited this museum claimed to have been touched. During an investigation, white mist was present in a photograph near the tree.

We stopped at the Sacramento River and Shannon explained the legend of La Llorona at the Waterfront. La Llorona is known as the crying woman. This ghost has terrified the Hispanic community from the United States to South America for over five hundred years. Legend has it, that La Llorona was betrayed by her husband and drowned her children out of revenge in a nearby river. The punishment for this horrific act, is that her spirit is condemned to roam the Earth for eternity, as she cries for her children. Across the Sacramento River, a group of Hispanics that were camping and fishing, claimed to have seen the La Llorona and Shannon points at the area of the river where she was sighted. An added note: La Llorona was also seen near the Colorado River and legend has it that she tried to drown two men in a canoe. I pointed out that a mere 4 miles down the Sacramento River, two fisherman were approached by a weary looking fisherman and he went up to their campfire and asked..."any luck?" The two fisherman thought he was an odd looking man and when they left the campsite, the strange fisherman was standing in the middle of the road. When they passed him by, they looked in the rear view mirror and he had vanished. This ghost is known as the Fisherman of the Sacramento River Banks.

The Sacramento River is filled with haunting activity from people that died in boating accidents, drownings, etc. But, I also pointed out that I-5/Sutterville was the murder site for the I-5 Killer. There was two I-5 Killers. The first one was Roger Kibbe that lived in the Sacramento area and the other is Randall Woodfield also known as the I-5 Killer and former Playgirl model and once tried out for the Green Bay Packers. Most people think it was Randall that killed one of his victims at I-5 and Sutterville, when in reality it was most likely Roger Kibbe. When I did a scouting mission at this location, this is where we took a picture of a black orb hovering over the Sacramento River. Nancy theorizes that a black orb represents someone that has passed away recently. Other theories suggest it represents depression or sadness. Of course, I like Nancy's theory the best!

As the tour continued, we stopped by the Sunken Graveyard and pointed out other haunted locations such as: The Firehouse Restaurant, Cafe New Orleans that was formerly known as The Union (discotecque), Annabelle's (Pizza - formerly was The Ritz -disco nightclub and also the Gold Mine Shaft disco nightclub in the disco 70s). Our tour ended at Fanny Ann's Saloon, Vegas' Night Club and Sports Bar and last, but not least Evangelines.

But, we did get one question that I was compelled to answer, because it's a question I get a lot and perhaps I should discuss it here. The question: "Why do ghosts linger around one location?" My answer: "Theory has it, that when a person dies, they may have been very religious, they see the light and instead of going into the light, they think of their past sins. They feel that if they enter the light, that they will be judged and may face Hell, eternal damnation. So, they have the option of not going into the light. What then happens is the 'ghost police', or entities from a higher power, call them angels if you may, tell the new ghost, that if they do not go into the light, that they are trapped within the confines of the home, business or a place that they are familiar with. An energy grid is placed over the area, in which this new ghost doesn't have the ability of escaping. It could be a situation in which a grandmother has unfinished business, because her granddaughter is expecting and she dies without seeing the baby. She decides not to go into the light, because she wants to see the baby born. She sees the baby and falls in love with the baby and decides to stick around to watch over the baby, instead of going into the light. When an entity goes into the light, that's usually it, they are never seen again. Theory has it, that if you take an object from a haunted home and place it in your home, then you opened up a portal, or a ghostly wormhole for the entity to travel from point A (the haunted home) to point B (to your home). This is the only time a ghost can follow you home, because you have taken an item that this entity is fond of and the energy of this entity engulfs the object.
The Table for Six crew was a fun crowd and it was a pleasure for Shannon and I, to give them a look at the other side.
