Sacramento’s Trash Film Orgy Productions (TFO) is preparing to make a new feature film this spring. In an effort to bring the film to the big screen, TFO will hold a kickoff fundraising event this Friday, February 10 at Sacramento’s On the Y. TFO is a Sacramento-based film production company that specializes in creating high quality, low budget horror films. TFP also produces the annual Trash Film Orgy Midnight Movie Film Festival. The Crest Theatre has been home to the event since 2001. Grant Yamashiro, a partial owner of the bar, says it is not uncommon to have local talent come in for a live performance. The bar has been at 670 Fulton Ave for around ten years now, and has hosted shows featuring rock bands such as “Awaiting the Apocalypse” and “Dragon Lord”. Some of their hip hop artists have included “Kevy Kev” and now “Elicit Expression”.   Though the bar usually maintains more of a rock theme, they do also have hip hop events, as long as they know the performers. The girls will be mud wrestling to raise money to pay for one of the group’s two roller derby teams – The Sacrificers – to travel for the 2011 season.
