Prior to that, the unit consisted of officers on a part time basis, using their own personal horses for special events. It has evolved into a five-person unit. There are currently 3 officers working in the unit. An ordinary work day is usually Tuesday through Sunday or Monday through Saturday. If there is a large event being held downtown such as the Jazz
