Sacramento Fashion Week Press Party

Mayahuel Tequila Museo hosted an elegant evening of fashion on Thursday night. Designers scheduled to participate in the Designer Showcase were on hand to celebrate a Sacramento Fashion Week Press Party. This year’s Sacramento Fashion Week will take place the week of February 21. Several events are planned for the event including two Designer Showcases with the final show on February 25. Several Sacramento Fashion Week staff members were on hand to meet and greet guests at the event. Producer and Executive Director, Duane Ram, introduced the event and other staff members. Support Make-a-Wish Foundation in the Fountains at Roseville this Holiday Season

The Fountains at Roseville dove into the holiday season with its first Christmas tree lighting and pledges all of the coins tossed into the display fountains during this holiday season to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Walt Gray of KCRA was the master of ceremonies. His nose was recently injured and is bandaged. The sky was a fountain during the ceremony, pouring rain upon the participants. Judy Britts directed the Northern California Children's Choir in singing Christmas carols before the tree was lit. Visitors from Cinderella gave their support for the honored guest. What's Happening at the Capitol: May 16, 17

Saturday, May 16 8-11 a.m. Roughneck Motorcycle Club will be holding a charity motorcycle run for the Firefighters Cancer Awareness Support Network near the firefighter's memorial. 250 people are expected. 9 a.m.-Noon Alternatives Pregnancy Center will be holding a 2K "Walk for Life" and according to its website, will offer free pregnancy tests, counseling, information, ultrasounds, maternity and baby supplies, and more.
