Cancer awareness activists have invited the public to attend the 4th Annual Night of Celebration on March 31 from 6 – 9:30 p.m. at the Momo Lounge on 2708 J St., in Sacramento. The event will be hosted by Sutter Medical Group family medicine physician Jennifer Cahn, M.D., and George Kovacs, benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Admission is $10 and includes one raffle ticket and drink specials. In 2001, Dr. Cahn battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma while finishing her master's degree and starting medical school. Saturday, Oct. 2 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Alzheimers Association hosts the 2010 Memory Walk. The three-mile walk begins at the South Steps of the Capitol at 10 a.m. after registration. Around 1,800 people are expected. 7:30-10 p.m. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society hosts the annual Light the Night Walk to raise awareness and funds in the fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
