Cancer awareness activists have invited the public to attend the 4th Annual Night of Celebration on March 31 from 6 – 9:30 p.m. at the Momo Lounge on 2708 J St., in Sacramento. The event will be hosted by Sutter Medical Group family medicine physician Jennifer Cahn, M.D., and George Kovacs, benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Admission is $10 and includes one raffle ticket and drink specials. In 2001, Dr. Cahn battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma while finishing her master's degree and starting medical school. Saturday, Oct. 2 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Alzheimers Association hosts the 2010 Memory Walk. The three-mile walk begins at the South Steps of the Capitol at 10 a.m. after registration. Around 1,800 people are expected. 7:30-10 p.m. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society hosts the annual Light the Night Walk to raise awareness and funds in the fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. The walk begins on the West Steps of the Capitol.
