Kings fall to T-Wolves, 108-99

No, you read it right. This is not an early April Fool’s gag. The Sacramento Kings did lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves in their fifth and final game of the road trip. The Timberwolves (14-60) snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Kings (24-51), who are on a streak of their own. The Kings have lost their last six games. The Kings followed up last night’s terrible third-quarter performance, where they scored 14, with a second quarter in which they only scored 13. Minnesota’s big men controlled the paint and ultimately the game. Minnesota shot 56 percent compared to the Kings’ 46 percent. The Timberwolves are known just as well for their shooting as they are for their winning. S

Evans Back, Kings Still Lack

Even with rookie guard Tyreke Evans back on the floor for the Sacramento Kings (24-51), they fell short to the Indiana Pacers (27-47), 102-95. Although the Kings started off hot, taking a 15 point lead in the first half, the pendulum swung towards the Pacers in the second. After being out 5 games with the concussion he suffered in Milwaukee, Tyreke Evans made it seem as though another triple-double was in the making. While only scoring four points in the first half, Evans grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 8 dimes. Jason Thompson was able to produce coming off the bench, leading the team in scoring with 14 points as well as 4 rebounds. The second half was a different story. While the K

Tyreke Tuesdays: Evans shines despite Kings' woes

Despite the Sacramento Kings going 0-4 since the All-Star break, Tyreke Evans is performing consistently. The rookie guard from the University of Memphis averaged 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists and one steal per game since the break. For the week, his shooting percentage was 51.9 percent. Evans is ranked first among rookies playing 36.9 minutes per game and is No. 24 in the NBA The year before at Memphis he was playing 29 minutes per game.
