UFC Ribbon Cutting at Comcast Folsom Service Center

Comcast had its official Grand Opening Festivities this Saturday at the Broadstone Marketplace. The new Comcast facility is located at 2766 E. Bidwell Street in Folsom. Activities were planned inside and outside the facility for this building dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony. The Grand Opening Festivities, at the Folsom center, featured a reception with food and drinks for customers. A couple of face painters from Lizzie’s Fancy Feet Parties dressed as princesses were on hand as well. Black Expo serves as showcase for Black community in Sacramento

When it comes to a showcase of events from Sacramento’s black community there is only one event that stands out and that is the annual Sacramento Black Expo exhibit held at the Convention Center this weekend from February 19-21. From people shopping to vendors selling goods it’s a chance to experience a lot of what the culture of African-Americans is all about. Whether its business, health, spiritual, finance, fashion, music, food, and education there is something for everyone. What's happening at the Capitol: June 17, 18, 19

Wednesday, June 17 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Comcast will be holding a high school recognition ceremony on the north steps of the Capitol. Last year the company gave out an average of $1,000 to over 150 12th grade students for higher education. Noon-2 p.m. Ten people from the California Department of Public Health will be manning a public safety booth on the west steps of the Capitol. They will be passing out informational handouts. I'll trade you a Rail Road for the Electric Company

Today was a sad day for my remote. But my blood pressure will remain stable when I cease to see overdraft charges after Comcast has taken close to a hundred dollars out of my account each month right before my rent check is about to go through. I turned in my DVR box. I downgraded. My pride is still intact, even though I got rid of the Food Network, MTV, the Style Network and many other channels. The transaction was smooth, however it was not congratulatory on the customer service representative's end the way it usually is when you are upgrading.
