David Lindley's gots licks, jokes.

Friday night, legendary guitarist David Lindley played an early show at Harlow's night club. I am embarrassed to admit that I hadn't known Mr. Lindley from Adam until a couple weeks ago when I received a note mentioning that Sacramento Press Editor-in-Chief David Watts Barton had suggested me, personally, for coverage. D.W.B.'s recommendation was good enough for me. The man knows his music (even if he doesn't grok the Grateful Dead: blasphemy where I'm from). Cedric Brooks on tenor saxophone was added in 1999, and Val Douglas on the bass in 2005, leading to a resurgence and 2006 world tour. The band then returned to the studio and recorded "Be My Guest," with Ben Harper on vocals. That track was part of the Fats Domino tribute CD "Going Home," which benefitted victims of Hurricane Katrina. The

Good? Got out and enjoyed the spring weather? Oh, you didn't get to? You were stuck in the office, finishing those TPS reports? I'm really sorry to hear that. Man, that is rough. Hey, let me just stop you there. To be honest with you, I was really just hoping to segue into a conversation about my weekend.        I had a fantastic weekend.  I
