Launch 2011, a design, music and fashion festival, will take place at the Greens Hotel on Del Paso Boulevard on July 23, 2011. Launch is a multidisciplinary audio and visual festival. The event aims to create an experience that allows Sacramento artists to join forces in producing a creative community that works for art and the community. A group interested in shaping Sacramento's architectural future had quite a challenge Wednesday night: discussing how to design urban infill in a city whose buildings are viewed as largely mediocre. Figuring out where to go from here is the whole point of the Design Dialogues, sponsored monthly by the Urban Design Alliance and the Sacramento chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
