Wonderful Chinese Restaurant Worth the Drive

The food was so delicious that I didn’t even mind a little dirt on my spoon!
My friend Mark and I went to Wonderful Chinese Restaurant on a Saturday around 11:30 a.m. It wasn’t busy and we easily found parking. We ordered two lunch specials, which are served from 11:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. I had the sesame chicken, which was savory and cooked to perfection. Mark had Kung Pao chicken and the vegetables were not overcooked. The food is freshly made and not greasy. In addition, we ordered the po po platter which was an assortment of appetizers, such as foil-wrapped chicken and eggrolls, among other things.

For the lunch and appetizer it came to about $30 including the tip and one soft drink. Dinner for two will cost between $30-$40.

Wonderful Chinese Restaurant has been in business for over 20 years and it shows. Family and friends run the restaurant. When you call after hours there will be no answering machine telling you to press 1 for directions, 2 for hours, etc—it will just keep ringing. It is open seven days a week: Monday-Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Wonderful Chinese Restaurant has an intimate, casual setting with wheelchair access, and is located off of Auburn and Old Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane.
