The River Cats hot streak came to a halt as they could not manage to win the back and forth battle with Round Rock on a warm Sacramento evening at Raley Field losing 7-6.
* Dana Eveland had a rough outing, pitching just 4.1 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and walking 4.
* Brad Kilby took over for Eveland in the 4th and had a very strong appearance setting down all 10 batters he faced in 3.1 innings... striking out 5 of them. Kilby's ERA since coming off the DL is 1.64.
* Jerry Blevins took over in the 8th and gave up 3 earned runs in 1.1 innings.
* Gregorio Petit stretched his hit streak to 13 games going 1-4 with a double.
* Daric Barton hit a 2 run homer in the 7th... his first home run of the year.
* Matt Carson recovered from his 0-6 performance yesterday going 2-3 with a solo home run in the 1st inning.
* Eric Patterson was 1-4 with a double, a walk and managed to swipe his 14th stolen base.
* Cliff Pennington went 2-4 with 2 base hits and came around to score both times.
* Eric Munson was 0-3 with one walk.
The final game of this series is Tuesday afternoon at 11:35am... the scheduled starter was Gio Gonzalez but since he was called up to Oakland Chad Reinke will take the mound.
