This is the start of a series on money saving ideas for your home. The tips are for the DYI person to save money on there monthly energy bills and home maintaince. Just a few inexpensive fix's can save a lot of money on your bottom line.
1- Replace heating and cooling air filters on a regular basis. Dirty filter can lower the efficiency of the heating and cooling system, which will increase the cost of heating and cooling your home. This one is a no brainer, try to run with a repertory mask on... you can't take in the same amount of air and you overheat. Changing the filters at least twice a year is acceptable, if you have in door animals every 3 months.

Good going, here iaremore low-hangi ng fruit ideas for saving money. A 5 minute phone call to each of these folks and asking for a lower rate resulted in immediate savings: ADT, the next 2 months free ($70 savings), XM Radio, next year at 1/2 off ($77 savings), AT& T, 6 months data line credit of $10 ($60 savings), Direct TV, $10 service credit for 12 months ($120 savings), Jones Pest Control $60 credit ($60 savings), Car and home Insurance, raise deductables to $1500 (save $600). No utility company would allow a temporary rate reduction or discount.
