Anyone going on a job interview knows that appearance counts. In this hair-splitting job market, it could be the determining factor for getting hired. This is why Luxe Salon & Spa, a full-service midtown salon and spa in Sacramento, has announced “Style it Forward,” an unprecedented free hair styling and makeup offer for anyone going on a job interview.

The staff at Luxe came up with this idea in light of the hard economic times around them and after seeing some of their own clients going through the tough interview process.

"If I can make one person feel good for an interview then I know my time was well spent," says Luxe esthetician Nicole Ferrera.

Monica Claiborne, also a Luxe esthetician says, "I went to beauty school to make people look beautiful. If you are feeling fabulous about yourself, going on an interview will be that much less stressful.”

“Having the right attitude is a huge part of what makes or breaks getting hired,” says Luxe stylist Trish Leonardi. “I love it when I help people feel their best.”

Open hours for the “Style it Forward” campaign are 9:30am until 4pm Tuesday through Friday, by appointment only. Please call the salon at 916-443-1400 to schedule your free time, and be sure to mention Style it Forward.

I would love to see some of the before and after makeovers for people who are part of your "Style it Forward" campaign. Could you post a follow-up to this story with some shots and/or stories of people who have used this service and gotten hired or just felt fabulous during their interview?

I'm glad you posted this, I had heard about this special and we wanted an article on the site telling people about it. Thanks for sharing this! Let us know if you have any questions about future stories, etc.
