Serena Williams showed her championship style before a sold-out World Team Tennis crowd at the 2500-seat Sacramento Capitals stadium on Saturday night. The 13-time Grand Slam singles champion helped lead the Washington Kastles to a 21-18 come from behind victory over the Capitals.

In the fifth game of the set, as the home crowd chanted Yasmin, Yasmin…, Schnack aced the 4-time Wimbledon champion on game point to go ahead 3-2 in the set, and later pounded a return to break Williams' serve and win the set 5-2.

The Women’s doubles was much closer with Sacramento native, Christina Fusano and Yasmin Schnack putting up a valiant fight but finally succumbing to the veteran Williams and her doubles partner Rennae Stubbs in a tie-breaker 5-4.

Sacramento held a slim lead through the Men’s Singles set between Sacramento’s Dusan Vemic and Bobby Reynolds, with Vemic pulling out the tie-break win 5-4. But that lead quickly slipped away in the Women’s Singles as William’s championship play soundly defeated Schnack 5-0. The night ended with Washington taking the Men’s doubles 5-2.
