Works by controversial and enigmatic artist Kenney Mencher, whose paintings were removed by San Francisco's Hang Gallery with the gallery director referring to them as "perverted" in 2003. He also had four of his paintings removed from the California State Teachers Retirement System building in 2004 after a handful of employees stated they made them uncomfortable. Along with Mencher, watercolorist Joe Santos has his newest pieces, "Signage" on display.

Please note:
This is not meant to copy the concept of Rachael’s post in any way. I had been talking with Sac Press folks last week about doing something along these lines, and I hope that at a minimum, our event picks will complement each other. What does matter is – get out and attend some of the cool stuff that happens in Sacramento!
BTW a community calendar with events, that is filterable by the type of event would be awesome. Theater, musical performance, etc.
That's already on my "on-going" section for next week!
